raumdeuter: Cocaine is still very much illegal, right? You get caught for dealing or they find it on you at all,you are definitely in serious trouble. Why can't it be the same for guns? I know people desperate enough will always find a way to get their hands on it, however you get caught with one...you have to face the law...** #simples! They really need to shut down or restrict the chances of all lunatics getting their filthy hands on guns, either legally or illegally to zero, except for licensed hunters or those in the force. |

diggz: If you are caught for illegal possesion of firearms you also get into trouble, A lot of gun owners have legit reasons to own a gun. Whether its for recreation or for protection. Protection especially if you are living in a rural area and no police or sherrif there to protect you. ns don't kill people, people kill people. Restrict number of rounds, I dont see why anyone will need a gun that can shoot 50 rounds in 1 minute when you are not in Iraq |

nihilist, afrodoc2, ibime nateevs diggz, a40 I wanted to ask. Was there really an improvement in City game or just they got lucky vs last season? I am thinking back to the game Chelsea won them 3-1. There were multiple opportunities for City to have smacked Chelsea big time that day but they missed the chances, Chelsea had 3 counter attacks against the run of play and scored on all 3. Was there really a tactical masterclass difference from last season or just a rub of green. KdB shoots that ball over or Chelsea score from a Cahill corner we would be having a different discussion or what do you think |

raumdeuter:it's a case of tactical mistake from Conte plus Morata Injury, They ran riot on Chelsea defense.its could have gone worse if it's were arsenal team. City have improve and are beatable, the 2 big clubs they played were both force to change tactics during the game(mane and Morata) |

raumdeuter: In a game of football, anything can happen. Definitely City have improved from last season. They got better defensively, adapted more to Pep philosophy and were more focused and determined. This same match could have ended 3 nil or so but you can also argue that Conte gamble with his line up and it didn't pay off, Morata injury also didn't help at all. Overall City has gotten way better than last season but they are very much beatable. 1 Like |

raumdeuter: I don't think there was anything different sincerely, except....well.... we can blame it on a number of things, some of these excuses may be lame burr they also contributed. Take for example, we didn't have to deal with mid week champions league game 2days before we played city last season. There was no forced substitution as in the case of morata, which tactically fvcked up contes game plan.e.t.c Hell....if I choose to pin the blame on conte I won't be wrong either, because there was no effort on our side to pin down city's wingbacks, and this was largely due to contes choice of personnel. The truth is manCity were the better side this time around and they deserved the win. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

raumdeuter: Having watched the game, I think we actually played better than last season until that Morata injury. That injury and that stüpid sub scattered the whole thing. The midfield was solid up until that point, but the loss of Morata meant the loss of our outballs from deep, and from there it was a losing battle as we were forced to deep mostly because Hazard cannot hold the ball up. He's a skilful midget not a centre forward. Football is a game of fine margins. Another day and Morata nods that ball in from his boyfriend in the opening 5 minutes, and we're set to profit from the counter attack when they rush forward looking for the equaliser As it happens first touch spurned that chance, and then copped the injury. Conte uncharacteristically then spoilt the game. I still think we coped admirably with them given the circumstances. I was looking at the stats and our midfield did really well. Man city didn't create too many dangerous chances, and even their goal scorer did not manage to touch the ball once in our penalty box. We were undone by a brilliant goal from a brilliant player, but it really was a long shot from Gabon. If they have to start firing long range rockets to try and score, then it wasn't as much as a tactical masterclass as the media claim it was. Conte set out to park the bus with a rugged defence, and on that count, his tactics worked. But great players like KDB are paid the big bucks to be game changers...ajd that's what we saw on Saturday in my opinion. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

Nihilist: In numerical order from today's winners and losers list on www.football365.com LOSERS: Number 3: chelsea? Number 4: Tiemoue Bakayoko: "should have been able to physically dominate machester city's midfield but instead the game utterly passed him by. Got through a fair bit of defensive work but offered absolutely nothing going forward and was sloppy in possession. These are early days but the idea that he is an upgrade on nemanja matic now looks laughable! Number 5: michy batshuayi? Sarah winterburn says hi and also no to revisionism! 5 Likes |

funlord: Thank God you mentioned the defensive work. Context is the key to everything. Conte set up his team to first and foremost not get beat, and in that regard he succeeded. The rugged midfield screening and nice defending meant that City simply did not get many chances to score. To further contextualize this point, Opta define a Big Chance as "A situation where a player should reasonably be expected to score usually in a one-on-one scenario or from very close range." Chelsea managed to create only 2 big chances versus city this weekend. City also managed to create the same number of big chances. Just the 2. So for all the talk of being out classed, there were only 2 times in that game where City actually had a reasonable expectation to score. They didn't even score the chances sef, and had to resort to long shots from Gabon. Bakayoko did his defensive job well. I suspect City actually had better chances in the games last season. I'm on my phone now. When I get home, we will dissect this from laptop. |

Nihilist: funlord: How did you manage to ignore the part he highlighted? The issue with Yoko's game against city wasn't the defensive side of it. It was what he did after retrieving the ball that was the issue. Dude was partially responsible for the amount of pressure we faced bcuz he couldn't do anything useful with the ball. |

raumdeuter: You came into a country where guns were necessary to dispossess the indian natives of their land. Now you have accepted it as your reality just as the Yankees have become accustomed to it. There is nothing normal about citizens being allowed to own guns. Why is this so hard to crack into a Yankee or adopted yankees head? The 2nd amendment was only born out of fear of the Indian owners of the land. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nihilist: Pls keep willians name out of it...that one no be footballer. I wanted to include fab in my earlier post but chose not to. I can remember you saying you didn't watch the match on Saturday dunno if you have been able to see the entire game? If yoko was half as decent as fab or kante on the ball trust me....we could have easily gotten a draw from that game. The few times he ventured forward dude kept on getting caught by offside trap. It was as if he left his brains at home or something dunno....but yoko? Smh! |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 7:12pm On Oct 02, 2017 |
diggz: I've watched the game now. This was a tactical game. You need to look at the tactics. To put in perspective for you. John Stones, Fabian Delph, Kyle Walker and Otamendi all made more passes than KDB, Silva, Sane, Gabriel Jesus , Fernandunho and Sterling. Emerson their keeper, made more passes than Leroy Sane, who only even managed one shot the entire game. I shot. Gabriel Jesus managed only 2 shots in 90 minutes, and one of those was the free gift from Rudiger. Why is that? Because the midfield was too choked. Super choked. There was no real space for the midfield on either side to create anything worthwhile. Hence both teams were recycling possession at the back. Go and check who completed the most passes on either side, and you will see in both cases it was the defenders. Our game plan was to choke midfield and then fire long balls to Morata and it almost worked until gods of injury came for first touch. 2 Likes |

Ibime: Funny part is,dayo keep using people who lives in rural areas as an excuse for why guns are needed, when we know even in some Naija villages they don't have a police station, and even if they have one ,the police can choose not to respond to calls for help. How do dey protect themselves? |

diggz: You want to use Naija as an example? How are those rural villages able to defend themselves against Fulani herdsmen? In Nigeria that gun is not common yet criminals and Fulani herdsmen have it. I read about a governor in Nigeria who heard that Fulani hersmen are planning to attack and alerted the Army and Police headquarters yet no one showed up until those Herdsmen finished their work of killing. If Those villagers have guns you think Fulani herdsmen will just stroll into their villages and butcher them anyhow they want. As evidenced in Nigeria, criminals will always get guns somehow. Its only citizens who will be lameduck and at the mercy of the attackers 2 Likes |
