Hello my good People,

So I have about 8 years experience in (6+ years in Banking and 1+ in Telecoms). I applied under NOC 0122 (banking) and (0111) current role. I based my application on 0111. Didn't assume it's a problem since 0122 and 0111 are under skill type "0". Now after reading something someone posted about using same NOC code for experience, am a bit confused if I should make changes on the eAPR or is it fine the way it is?

Here are the options am considering;

1. My work ref. detailed my roles at different periods, so I can change my last role in the bank to 0111 which is also related.
2. I can base my application on NOC 0122 instead.
3. This is not a problem, so I can leave this way.

I already got ITA so any changes will be in the eAPR. I need someone with related experience to advise please.

Counting on your usual support family.

Please, I search for my job under the NOC buh my job is not available. I am a PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER with 3years experience. Pls what can I do?

Good morning. You will not find NOC for Primary school teacher, you will find for Elementary school teacher as their primary schools are called elementary schools. Check out this NOC (4032)

Hope that helps

You mean you based ur app on the 0111 that has only 1+ years? No nao, 0122 has more and u shld have given preference to it. Different NOCs are still in play, if u read Merrymum's submission.

I thought the most important aspect is the Skill type, which is "0". and they are the same. So which of the options in your opinion should I follow now?

Hi,

The amount you require per this link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp - is CAD15,312. You should convert this to Naira at the prevailing black market rate. I used aboki fx and got N4,374,857.14. Now, this is based on the information you supplied i.e. family of 2. You did not mention any children. If you have any children, the required funds will increase. The above link has all the information you need.

N3m does not meet the minimum required funds at the moment unfortunately. You can consider other options like getting a family member or friend to give you the additional amounts, gift deed and/or a letter from your PFA if you are a pension contributor.

I haven't done any research on the Australia immigration process, so I can't speak for this.

All the best!

If u can, get reference letters for all and input all. Skill type 0 and skill levels A or B are all there are.. Anyone is cool. How many work experience are u using? I guess it's three! The rest won't count for migration points.. Let IRCC choose.

Many forget that in areas like this your application is at the near full discretion of the visa officer. He could have just gone on google and determined using the current exchange rate that your POF was not enough. He couldn't have had the time to dig out what the exchange rate was at the time you placed your application. This is why you want to consider two options:

1. Render your POF in Canadian dollars in a domicilliary account and remove the influence exchange rate fluctuations
2. Ensure your naira when converted to dollars is way above the requirement such that exchange rate fluctuations will have no influence in the foreseeable future.

Clearly, you should have fixed more than that and not held your application by a thread.

In addition ,
I will advise he tops up the funds ASAP to avoid stories that touch- also remember to raise CSE.

2. My ECA isn't out yet while that of my wife is out, she is the principal applicant, please can we go ahead to submit? Yes if she's not claiming the 10 points for your education. If she is is, then no because it will ask for your Evaluation report number and date of the report...the evaluation number you can guess what it is but you can't guess what the report date is on the report as you don't have it yet.

3. My wife is a pharmacist, she included her internship year to make it 3 years, i hope this wont cause any challenge, although she will get reference letter for the years stated. Yes she can. Hope she used PEBC to evaluate her qualification as a pharmacist and not WES/IQAS/ICES?

4. Can we update our profile later to include my ECA? See answer to number 2.

5. Can this timeline count for 3 years experience Yes. So far as she can prove she got paid during the internship. CIC states work to be claimed has to be PAID WORK.

Yes, I already have work reference for all of them. And both the banking and Telco experience are in Skill type "0". Maybe am over reacting but I read the tweet as well about NOC being the same for work experience so am getting confused at this stage.

Was the tweet even referring to NOC O, A or B or NOC job code being the same?

Read merrymum's. I know u r good, let IRCC do their thing. IRCC said primary NOC but the tweet said one NOC... Sb used different NOCs and was successful... You have three years no matter how it is recalculated.

You are the one confusing your self with your terminology. NOC is different from Skill Type.

NOC na the code you go select to match your JD, while making sure it falls in Skill Type 0, A OR B. There's nothing like NOC 0, A OR B.

Thanks Canadianfly smiley,

I asked some personal questions though.

Yeah she used PEBC.

Please further question:

I work in a bank as a Non Full time employee(NFTE) for the past few years, Can i still use 0122 as my NOC Code, if no please advice further.

Also regards my reference letter, since i am not getting a letter from my bank's HR and am getting it from my outsourced firm, is it a must that

my job role is stated on the letter.

Further advice on this please.

kindly advice the address the reference letter will be sent to.

Thank you

cc: 40manlappy and other sabi Nlers,
Good morning my people,

I would like to know if I can use a code for a previous job experience as my NOC. I worked as a funds transfer officer for about 4 years and some months in a bank, but since 2013 I have been working as a risk management analyst in a bank. I have worked under various units within risk management within the past 4 years in this second bank, but it is quite challenging getting an NOC that fits my job description. I want to know if I can use NOC for funds transfer. I think it might be easier getting a code for this. @40manlappy e ma binu, please what NOC did wifey use for funds transfer?

Secondly, can both hubby and I apply for EE together and then decide who will be the PA based on who gets ITA first? Can this be done? Getting NOC is easier based on his job description.

Thank you.

Hi, I need a little clarification.

I viewed the document check list for visa application and I didn't find evidence (pay slips, bank statement reflecting salary) of paid employment as part of it. Just wondering if the need to prove this only applies in a case of internship OR is the reference letter stating all those details sufficient enough?

Cheers

Don't bother providing a reference letter for yourself or what code you should select. Since you are not the PA, your work experience doesn't add or subtract points from your wife's score since it OUTSIDE CANADA. When filling out her profile, she should select No for spouse work experience. That way you won't be required to go get a reference letter. The only thing you can do to add to her score, you've already done. ECA & IELTS.

Thanks @Blackbuddy. It is very clear

Blackbuddy:

Yes as a permanent resident you must DECLARE your income, wether earned in Canada or abroad. However, it is not for the purpose of taxing you but to measure how much you are eligible for social insurance. That is why everybody gets a SIN, it is this unique ID that is tied to you to know how much you earn, how much you get as subsidy for child care, how much is spent on you for public health care, if you receive grants etc. All citizens and PRs must file taxes yearly wether you are in Canada or not and you can indicate where you earned your income. Canada does not currently tax income earned abroad, hope it's clear now.

Payslips and the rest are used by people who need to prove paid work. I believe it's a prerogative. And only to be used to strengthen weak area (s). E.g. NYSC year and internship.
