einsteino: The bank can only confirm or deny the authenticity of the statement and that the information provided on that statement is correct. But as for your current balance or any other activity on your account, they will need a warrant from the appropriate channel to get it. If any banker should give out your personal information to anyone other than you or persons authorized by you, they are in serious trouble because you can hammer on top their head! CIC is only privy to the information you provide to them in this situation and all they can do is to verify that the document (i.e bank statement) is authentic and the information on it has not been tampered with. |

@dupsyshoo thanks so much for the offer, sending the PM asap, I hope it delivers. After taking a look at what I sent I sent my statements from all account, my pension statement, gift deed, everything amounted to 70pages, but I didn't attach a cover page summarizing the funds instead I attached it to the LOE part, so maybe the VO no get time for long story. thank you @yokus and @veleta, really appreciate your input. 1 Like 1 Share |

closetextrovert: I get what you are saying, the legality of them requesting for your balance, I dont know about how the law views that. but what is there to stop one from moving out the fund after submitting SOA if balances cant be confirmed, at least minimum balance? Does it mean CIC just takes Post SOA in good faith? particularly in cases where it isnt fixed deposit or TB. if this is the case, then I would like to think that moving out cash after submitting SOA would have been so wide spread by now that any debate about it would be redundant. well, I am just thinking out loud sha, i dont have anything to substantiate my thoughts. Perhaps those who have done so could share their experience. UPDATE I looked it up on Quora and a respondent there who claims to have worked in a dept that replies enquiries from embassies on bank statement, confirmed what you said. I would expect among the plenty terms and conditions CIC makes us consent to, we would have given them the power to verify balance ..Anyways Here is what he said in quote I am a Banker, in Nigeria ( from the name, I assume you're Nigerian) and yes most embassies do. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

einsteino: That's the loophole with this process and im sure CIC knows that. There's not much they can do than to take the POF that most applicants show in good faith or request for an updated SOA at their discretion to confirm that the applicant has the required POF. Same thing goes for the medicals and police certificate they make us submit. The fact that an applicant passed medicals doesnt make that same applicant immune from contacting HIV or any other ailment that may put a strain on their government's pockets or pose danger to their citizens. In the end, after they've done their best to meticulously examine and verify the information provided to them by an applicant and the ones available on open source channels are consistent and authentic, they give PR status on your merit and good faith really. |

closetextrovert: you are very correct. I pondered on the bolded some months ago, I wondered why they dont request for another checkup close to say, the day of take off or at POE. I guess in practical terms, risk can only be managed and not totally annihilated. |

Good evening all, I am here again oh. Please, how long does it take WES to deliver report using standard method? Will it delay so much or I should kukuma go and cough out $85 for courier? How do I pay for WES, can my regular Nigerian cards be used? Thanks everyone. PS; With all my permutations, it seems the highest I can score is 425, any help on what else to do or I should just hope that one day the score will come down to where I am before my age reduces it further. Will my ACCA-CPA-CGA, conversionn help me in anyway |

take gift deeds for example too, im very sure cic knows that most of them are borrowed money as opposed to a gift but their hands are tied. They have absolutely no way of proving otherwise and so they accept it in good faith. 1 Like |

WES evaluates ACCA membership as 4 year Bsc giving you two or more certificates if you have another degree or diploma. I did standard delivery for over 9 months still waiting for the ECA report. Some people get it easily some don't. The choice is yours. . Whichever way the soft copy is sufficient for this process. with Scard: 2 Likes |

dupyshoo: Kudos @dupyshoo, you just nailed the way I've been interpreting this in my brain all along. That said, do you(or anyone) think the profile below can claim 3years work experience and get maximum points? NYSC service year(2011 to 2012) Job A: 2014 - 2015 Job B: 2015 - 2017(till date) Please note that the NOCs are different for each of the jobs and also that there's no gap between Job A and B i.e for example, stopped job A in February 2015, started job B in March 2015 till date. |

I've a question. I've a friend who says he will have to spend 1 million naira, that's almost $3,000 to apply for visa ...like visit visa or any visa to canada, from Nigeria? He said this is the cost of paying agents to process the applications to Canada and what they told him. I told him he doesn't need to use an agent but he says its better. Is this true? Are y'all spending that much to process your application to canada?? This isn't about me ooo, I'm already overseas. Just want to get a clearer picture of what he's saying. He says he doesn't want to spend that much and lose money in case his application is rejected so he's asking me to sponsor him instead. |

elfmann:Hi, I don't want to be the clog in your wheel but I know that except that you are claiming points for only job B alone, your job A will not count towards your CRS. CIC has said " all jobs for CRS must be in the same NOC" .if in doubt check a few pages back and you will understand more. But then again, people here claim that they have combined NOCs before and it worked. At the end, I have discovered that this PPR journey is not one size fits all...all the best with your choice. 1 Like |
