I disagree.. Ogu is great for a controlled game. Onazi and Ndidi are battlers.

Add to that Ogu is not Mobile and he is far from being fast with slow motion recovery.

The Zambians may not have much pedigree but they willl be organised disciplined and fast. Ndidi and Onazi are pacy, intelligent, tenacious and will not be outpaced or overrun in the midfield.

Or because he can hit the ball better than most of the guys we have. I mean will you choose Onazi to test the gk? You will have to be picking the balls from outside the stadium. The only other option would have been Iheanacho but he hasn't been playing and he isn't in peak condition so the need to train a lot more before the game
Haba Michael 2 testing keeper with a shot in training and taking balls from d stand.

If u talk about match situation i w agree with u but not one on one situation shot especially training session.

Pls always give little respect to Onazi Ogenyi.I still remember his outside shot for Lazio just like Olishe goal against Spain.

this is why I said the coach may be training him for long shots and not one-on-one shots, that was what I said.

Meanwhile Onazi once upon a time had a good shot, now his shots are almost always wayward maybe he stopped training but his shots now are way below Ndidi's shots

I don't think we will have issues finding a back up to Ighalo. We will take a look at Nwakaeme. And then, we have some exciting youth players lining up to compete.

You are talking as if Ighalo is 35, he is only 28 he is still in his prime. With many years of top flight football left.

Who are the exciting youth players

These days if you are good enough you are old enough. Youth footballers are essentially unproven and untested until they prove themselves.

The two young Dembele's were already tested and proven at 17, the same goes for Mbappe and Neymar and if you go right back also Rooney, Ronaldo, and recently Lukaku.

Apart from Tega who is tested and proven not just potential. Potential is only indicative it's not established. That potential will require a lot of hard work to be realised otherwise it remains just potential nothing more.

Pls what is so special picking Onazi to test keeper in shooting training session and what do u mean by shot conversion ratio, are u talking in a match situation or what.

I mean generally, if you play a corner kick and it is headed out and you have a nigerian players approaching the ball to strike the ball, would you rather have Ndidi take such a shot or Onazi? Match or training doesn't change much

to be honest wit you....I sincerely believe one area where merit have never played om national team call ups for a long while now...is the area of goalie invitation...and I will blame the indigenous coaches for this...
I still remember how keshi tried to pass agbim down our throat even when it become glaring to the world that the guy was a basket...

he kept akpeyi in the dark...never let us know what he has to offer...

Yea u are right, big boss and Agbim only God can reveal d union just too glaring d guy was poor.

Truly indigenous coaches didn't do enough regards players invitations especially goalkeepers.

Pls get this right nobody is disputing Ndidi ability or d best we have now but d way u are always hammering Onazi is uncalled for.

My wish is for Ndidi to reach Onazi's benchmark in d national team that still counting coz Onazi is still active and even surpass it.

I read somewhere your criticism of onazi and reason you opt for the combo of etebo-ndidi partnership..

you make me laugh...
please compare onazi display against the Cameroonians in uyo and younde...with your value ridden assumptions.

onazi may not be the best we crave for....but the young man have tried in areas we can't overlook....

maybe you dont get his point... He is trying to say ndidi shoots better than onazi (taking SPG) into consideration..
Just like saying lampard has more goals from shot than gerrard that is not underrating gerard ... But lampard is more likely to score

Nobody is argue that with him,Ndidi is better but Onazi is not poor.

Pls what has Ndidi done in d national team that was so special than what Onazi has done that any analysis on our midfield Onazi always receiving his knock for no reason.

Mickael2:

ok between Onazi and Ndidi who has a better shot-conversion ratio? This is not about Onazi or anything, just the shot conversion ratio. Knowing that the Zambians will result to taking shots from outside the box we need our gk to be prepared for that and who can take long shots from outside the box? Ndidi and Nacho, I have already given reasons why Nacho couldn't be choosen.

However Basco made a nice point sha, it could just be fatigue

you never can tell bro...
those goals onazi scored last season for tranzspor....where they scored from outside the box or inside the 18 yard box....

he shot and aimed at goal....
he only needs to learn to play his shot low and not high....
most of his shots lately have been too high

seriously you're very right...
especially onazi impacts whenever a physical side is played...
I see the Zambians as a physical and skilful side...and onazi will so useful regarding the fact that south Africans will be pacy as well considering the youthful nature of their team

# regarding that you asked me concerning Felix udoukai...I will notify you when I post it

Onazi could av dropped in form no doubt, but still.d best we av at d moment in dt middle
