dainformant: That is the governor who doesn't understand his role. A governor who uses the federal allocations to his state's 27 lgas to build whatever he fancies in the State Capital, Owerri, while the other lgas in the state deteriorated. A state governor who does not understand that a state capital is merely a seat of government, not a place a governor buries nearly all the funds of a state. That's the governor who bought 300 vehicles with the allocations to his state's 27,lgas but ordered that the vehicles be used as taxis only in his state capital. That is the governor who bought dozens of buses with the allocations to his state's 27 lgas but ordered that the buses run only on the streets of his state capital. That's the governor who bought scores of Police vehicles and security gadgets but ordered that they be used to police only his state capital Show me a CLOWN. 1 Like 1 Share |

ignis: Don't mind the doctored reportage. The prisons and police headquarters located at the heart of Owerri is simply being relocated to Avu town which is only about 8 kilometers away. Okorocha has built more schools and hospitals than any Governor in Nigeria. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8h1G44ZLEA 1 Like |

Danladi7: A better economy makes the prison unimportant. In Europe the economy and social welfare has kept prisons empty. Of course years ago a prison in Europe is better than our 5star hotel. 1 Like |

Abagworo: Name any functioning hospital in Imo state except Federal medical centre. Roads to Imo state university teaching hospital Orlu were deliberately scrapped or abandoned by Gov. Okorocha, because he wants to relocate IMSUTH to Owerri to placate Owerri when he shall announce that remaining govt shares in his Eastern Palm University in his home town has been fully purchased by a private organization - Rochas Foundation. Since 2012, IMSUTH started to quench, salaries owed doctors to make them leave, darkness all over IMSUTH at night, he refused to go for accreditation of medical courses. Alas, last October, Okorocha called barely-informed local chiefs in Orlu and told them to sign that IMSUTH is not viable in Orlu. As if he did not know that even if you locate a hospital in a cave, so long as the owner of the hospital runs it efficiently, patients from all over the world shall visit for cure. He so much infuriated the pillars of Imo state with that IMSUTH act. But by 2007, IMSUTH was so viable that it was rated among the best ten teaching hospitals in Nigeria. Just 1/1000th of money which Okorocha uses to build prison, inland roads, flyovers, tunnels, 8 to 10 lanes streets in Owerri could have asphalted the 1km road to IMSUTH which Okorocha abandoned since 2012. Dud, Okorocha is overplaying his malicious ways. Yours Truly sacrificed a lot to have him elected in 2011. But let him mend his ways, make you help remind him that 2019, he shall be out of govt house. 1 Like |

1kingwriter: Governments no longer run prisons in many parts of the world. Imprisonment is even no more emphasized for convicts, except for habitual criminals and sex offenders who are likely to be dangerous to society if left outside prison. Hard to imagine what Okorocha thinks he is doing with prison. In the same Avu area near Obinze, , FUTO has acquired vast acres of land where it shall soon start a university teaching hospital. So prison and teaching hospital side by side is not funny. |

bosschinalu:You just said with low crime rates, does it look like crimes are about to stop in Nigeria at all. If you have ever been to owerri before you would have seen the rate at which new criminals troop into that prison yard daily. |
