Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Manonamission: 3:09pm On Oct 05, 2017 |
dipoolowoo: I completely agree. First they said Oct 1 is dooms day, nothing happened. Then they said Naira was going to crash against the Dollar so we should brace for impact. Fortunately, Naira is still holding up with minor fluctuations. Crude is stable above $50 per barrel and production has hovered around 1.8m to 2m barrels per day(thanks to our brothers in the creeks). I don't know when the best time to buy is, if not now that equities have retraced/reversed (I no know book o) and we anticipate Q3 results. We are not where we would like to be yet but we are far from where we were in 2016 and Q1,2017. Prices of Rice, Tomato and Garri are yet to return to normal but have retraced considerably from previous highs. The pressure has reduced. FPI is on the increase. Inflation is trendind down. Consumer spending is increasing. I know debt is increasing but infrastructural spending is increasing too (I'll focus on the positive improvements for now ) You know your investment objective, so plan and act accordingly. As for me and my house, we have taken position, we are taking position and would plan for any bear that might want to show up in Nov/Dec/Jan (or whenever). My Delta Force comprises Transcorp, FBNH, DangFlour and FCMB/Diamond (for speculative reasons). Review is continuous. Investment horizon varies from 3wks to 1year. I'll also be watching (ONLY) as things unfold with FO, MRS, M&B and Conoil. If you like take my post as a recommendation without doing DD and yawa gas.........errr you may come and beat me, I go dey my house. 2 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Manonamission: 3:46pm On Oct 05, 2017 |
Investnow2017: Upside potential not fundamentals was the consideration here, hence the 'speculative' tag. It will be a 2yr high for Fidelity to return 20% at today's closing price of N1.35. FCMB closed at N1.03 even though there was supply volume at N1.02. A 20% gain is just a little over 60day high. Mr Market might not remember FCMB's result when there is a rally Where would you like to place your bet? In Peterichy's voice, this one na 'advanced kalokalo' 2 Likes |
