I think Julius Aghahowa would be the one to have that title in my opinion.
it's difficult to pick who is faster between Aghahowa and Babagida, that quick 2 goals against SA says alot.
and ,even Ikedia and Musa,Osaze also in his early days.

My biggest joy going into this encounter with Zambia is IGHALO JUDE. I am confident we have found a real top 9 who can ruffle any defense, put them under pressure and even score a breathtaking goals.

I remember before our match against Cameroon I described Ighalo as a skillful and tricky player and some guy cried blue murder. Now,everybody is ridding Ighalos back....Such is life. But Kelechi need to learn how a to 9 works.

I'd like to see both of them play in a two-man attacking formation.

I think, they once did in our game against Tanzania.

Weak links....

Ekong with his bad ball control, bad pass and panic. If put under intense pressure by a more technical team Ekong will make costly mistake.

Victor Moses over carries the ball and dribble too much to the extent he will jeopardise the success of the team. Moses need to learn when to release the ball. He ruined what would have been a beautiful goal for Ighalo against Cameroon in Uyo. His dribbles need to be in check and he can be a little selfish. In fact,Victor Moses is not my favourite SUPER EAGLES player,he annoys me half of the time and now he didnt come to camp early....smh

Simon Moses has improved a bit but his final ball needs to be worked on and his crosses must get better. I like his tacking back to help but he waste alot of ball....Again,just like VicMO he (Simon) likes to dribble and half of the time he loses the ball.

Echiejile is a disaster waiting to happen...Dude is our weakest link. bad passes, shaky, out of position and what have you....When I see Echiejile I get depressed.

Mikel Obi,though a smart player but he lost a lot of possession in our match at Uyo. Can also be a little slow but I will put that on his lack of match fitness. But Mikel must do better than against Cameroon.

The only problem I have with Onazi is to not get a red card ,as long as Ndidi is there I have confidence in that midfield.

Echiejile is under appreciated and underated,he is not a disaster waiting,he might not be classy player, but he works hard to make sure he does not make costly mistake always, and don't c him making a big mistake any time soon, moreover we have good replacement

Hull City defender Ola Aina is eager to finally make his international debut for Nigeria.

Despite captaining England youth teams in the past, Aina pledged his allegiances to the Nigeria earlier this year, the birth place of his parents. However, despite being called up for the Super Eagles on several occasions, he is still waiting to make his senior international bow.

The fullback has been in fine form this season while on loan at the KCOM Stadium from Chelsea and now he is looking to take that onto the international stage.

Hull City's internationals are clocking up the miles, but where are they and what are they playing for?
Nigeria know a win against Zambia on Saturday will be enough to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia next summer and the 20-year-old is keen to be a part of head coach Salisu Yusuf’s thoughts.

''I am very happy to be here to meet with teammates and also the coach. In the event of me making my debut I am ready,'' Aina told the Nigerian press.

''I've been watching Nigeria team for a long time now, it is very different obviously from where I've grown up.

“I will be prepared and I will be ready to do my best for the team.''

You are very correct.

Most lower leagues are the hunting grounds of many big clubs and top leagues. But they will only harvest the cream of the crop.

Ndidi was the creme de La creme at Genk and as such he left to greener pastures.

The possibility exists if he can maintain his reasonably good start things can change and the once forgotten becomes front page news.

My Fears as Eagles-Zambia Clash
I will not mince words in saying I am not comfortable with the feeling about Saturday’s game. We all are so relaxed and at ease. I am worried, really worried. It will be tasking on Saturday and we cannot just make an easy win. I can bet on that.
We all got excited after the Cameroun win but hey, football can be funny sometimes. If we are all sincere, we had a below par performance at Yaounde and mother luck sailed us through with a draw. Then look closely at the Uyo encounter, I can say I am not convinced yet. For a while Cameorun had some good play over us.
Saturday will not be easy. The Zambians are red hot….They were quite unlucky at Ndola. This is ganna be more difficult that Cameroun clash. I warned you all. We may not get more than a draw…..
The South Africa game experience lingers…….
Just a little out of the box….Abeg where Efe Sodje and Furo Iyenemi dey sef? We need them to back up our defence o..lol

Yisa Shofoluwe. Maroc 88 was his hit tournament.

He IMO introduced the Modern day wings back play.
But he also had his lapses of gaps behind which is typical of most over-lapping Full backs.

But to say no one has ever replaced him perfectly is not true.

Eguavoen was what Shofoluwe was not and vice versa.
Eguavoen for Eg was not as mobile as Shofuluwe but his covering of his portion of the pitch was excellent.

Chidi Odiah did both the overlapping and marking quite well. He IMO was the last real RB we had in the Super Eagles.

Efe Ambrose was not a natural RB as you know, however he did creditably well in that position, combining well with the attackers and also covering his own portion of the pitch. He alongside Shofoluwe, Eguavoen and Odiah belong to our class of best RBs.

There was also Gbenga Okunowo. He started as a midfielder but got converted to a RB. He also was very mobile as a RB. Played for Barcelona at one time but fizzled out so quickly.

Mubi Oparaku had size issue else he would have made a wonderful RB.

Gbenga Okunowo didn't fizzled out quickly, he was ignored for long despite been a Barcelona player.

He got his invitation when he was at Benfica.

I don talk before and I go still dey talk, some players will still be ignored even if they play for holy Angeles club of heaven. grin

Yeah, our performance was not up to par in Yaounde because the game was played 3 days after the Uyo game,Substitution of Mikel for Mikel Agu and Hugo Broos dropping his stars to the bench, thereby capitalising on the fatigue of our players by playing his star strikers in the second Half.

This game is different because we now have Iwobi to replace Mikel and Zambia will start their stars in Uyo.So,we have all it takes to win the game in the first -half.

bla bla bla
who were more at risk of losing at Yaounde?
It was definitely not us.

Calm down!
Rohr knows how crucial it is and he had done the needed.
What the fans need to do now is be at ease.

And that's my sentiments, exactly! When folks keep saying that this is not the same Zambian team we beat last year. My response: is this the same Nigerian team that beat them last year?

Our team is definitely stronger. Not only are we fielding a much stronger squad (except for the goalkeeper) but most importantly the coach, Gernot Rohr, understands his team much better than he did last year. I expect a good win on Saturday. But that's not so say that I am not worried.

Of course there is caution, what we are saying is that there's nothing really to worry about thinking about it logically. The coach is already cautious, so what more do you want from him?

Cameroon came to Uyo with a similar strategy but were surprised by Nigeria's willingness to sit back and hit them on the counter. Basically turning their strategy against them

People also forget, a draw would do Zambia no good. If they sit back, it doesn't hurt for us to sit back as well drawing them out in the process.

Cameroon are not the Masters in the counter attack game, Ghana are the Masters and they have been using it to beat us since the time of abedi Pele. South Africa just learnt that.

South Africa were lucky to face a severely weakened Nigerian team... A draw is good enough for us, the onus is on Zambia to come forward.
