Three Naija boys score all the goals for England. Tega, Tega and Solanke. Tega Onomah has scored a whopper, did anybody see his goal for England probably at least 25 yards, taken on the chest and one looping shot, sensational. Tega in midfield has taken his game to another level getting game time at Aston Villa has helped him improve. |

forgiveness: I am not saying he isn't good but I rate Fred Onyedinma more than him. I do feel there are other options better than him. He should really be trying to get more game time. I want to see him improve. |

Joebie: I responded to your view of Awoniyi from two perspectives. Firstly, his standing in Liverpool and how close he is to first team football for his parent club. The second context is how close he is to first team slot as a striker for Nigeria SE. Liverpool has ambitions to win the premiership and as such getting to be a striker will be difficult. They are always looking for seasoned, tested top quality World class strikers. Getting into the first team at Liverpool require that you are seen in the best light. Players who are in the academy being seen day in day out and who are then sent from Kirkby to Melwood to train with the first team. Have over riding advantage. Add to that the local preference and obligation bto produce local talent. This puts Awoniyi in a position of disadvantage. For him to get the attention of Liverpool he will need to be one of the top strikers in Belgium. He currently is not albeit it very early days. In thus regard and in the context closeness to first team football Awoniyi is clearly behind Solanke, Adekanya, Ojo and Oviemuno. You may disagree. The second context is playing for Nigeria there are too many quality players ahead of him playing in Italy, China, England, etc. Direct comparison Adekanya I do not rate very highly so the possibility that Awoniyi is better than him exists. I really do not know I see Bobby quite a lot up close live and personal in training and in games. But I haven't seen much of Awoniyi the same way just his stats at his club. I haven't seen Awoniyi play in the EPL and or the Championship so I do not know if he could cut it. Quite a lot of top players come to the EPL from other top leagues and struggle, (i.e. Succes and Musa) So that kind of comparison is academic. Last season Awoniyi struggled badly this season he has stepped up can he step up into the Championship and or EPL is a very big question. The Championship is next door to the EPL playing thier is a great stepping stone to the EPL. You will.be on the mind if all premiership managers of you are making waves. So just by proximity all the players I mentioned have an edge over him Awoniyi. Awoniyi will not get a an automatic slot in the championship, he is unknown. Hasn't played in the U23 league so nobody really knows him and what he can do. He has no English playing time pedigree to launch himself forward. Would Ugbo be in Liverpool team I would like to think yes, but not a definite, he is fast strong and can dance on the ball. |

If Zambia then wins by 3 and we lose by 3 Zambia would then be going. Just want us to finish it here. There's nothing as bad as playing a team that has nothing to gain from a game and blooding new players that wana impress. Don't wanna play an Algerian side with nothing to play for than pride at home. daveP: |

Bro na maths me I de do. Assuming we draw (God forbid!), then Zambia would be +2 and Naija +7. If we lose by 3 we'd go to -4 and if they win by 3 they'd go to +5 and edge us out. So I don't wanna go thru all this calculator shenanigans in November, so let's jist kpuf them 2mrw. So Zambia doesn't really need truck load of goals per say. It depends on how and if we decide to 'tian'. daveP: |

***OPPONENT WATCH*** Zambia Coach Wedson Nyirenda Provides Update On Fitness Of Star Striker Daka The Chipolopolo of Zambia had a first time feel of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo ahead of their game against Nigeria tomorrow in the race to be at the World Cup 2018 in Russia. Before the start of their training session which was held behind close doors, coach Wedson Nyirenda had a brief chat with the media men at the stadium, and provided update on the injury situation in the camp of his team. Already they are without three key players in Rainford Kalaba, Emmanuel Banda and Edward Chilufya due to injury and work permit issues, but the coach insist they can cope without the trio. ”Kalaba is just a player like any other player, so we have made this team consisting of other 18 players, there is no player who is indispensable in Zambia this time, we only depend on who is going to deliver on that day and according to our plan”, he said. Speaking on the fitness of top striker Patson Daka, the coach reveal the forward has recovered from the knock that made him pull out of their training session in Abuja yesterday. “Daka is here, he is okay, the only ones that are not with us due to injury is Bernard Mwila and Emmanuel Banda and Edward Chilufya is not here because his team are working on his permit in Sweden. So the rest of the players are here, and I think we have a good side that will do the job tomorrow “, he concluded. Iwobi’s Father Offers Tammy Abraham Advice On Switching Allegiance To Nigeria Mr Chuka Iwobi, the father of Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has offered a word of advice to players like England youth international striker Tammy Abraham who are still eligible to represent Nigeria at senior level.. The father of Iwobi was instrumental in the choice of his son who switched allegiance to Nigeria after representing England at youth level, and he has admonished players of Nigerian descent about switching allegiance. Iwobi Snr. gave the advice while speaking to journalist at the training ground of the Super Eagles ahead of their clash against Zambia this weekend in Uyo. “The simple answer is there is a lot of misconceptions trying to do that. We also saw it when we first switched. For a player who has been in abroad for the better part of his years there are always going to be so many difficulties”, he said. “My answer has always been come and see for yourself and don’t make assumptions. We came, we saw and we are here. Obviously there are ways to improve on but it’s not about that and the positives surpass the negatives. “I’m sure every father will be proud to see his son play for his country of birth”, he concluded.
