No. Rates will keep going down. Again take note of inflation. The later is likely to go higher - Naira has no supply cap, so CBN freely walks into NSPM and print as many papers as they want. resulting effect? Circulating supply keep losing value. I read an article from The Economist recently, Naira is over-valued by almost 53 naira against 1 USD. God help us! kristien4: 3 Likes |

Olamytea: Harkynkunle: Chizzy759831: What if I told the three of you that your questions have been answered in the first 10 pages of this thread. I won't be surprised if the next post is "please how do I go about TB". 7 Likes |

Santino1: Don't mind them. The main problem affecting our people is laziness. I got to know about treasury bill on this nairaland and I took my time to read from page 1 to 289 pages. I didn't even ask a single question before going to the bank. When I got to the bank. It was somehow tough because they (bank) tried to discourage me but thank God I won at last I insist on TB. Later I learnt here that First bank and stanbic are the best so I moved from Wema to Stanbic since I will prefer primary. Also I research more on Google about TB before investing. Even if they can not read from page 1,reading from the last 30pages will still enlighten them and answer their questions 10 Likes |

Anyone yet to be debited by stanbic? My account officer keep telling me stanbic 364 bid was successful yet I have not been debited. Please house, does it takes this long? I don't have the stomach for patience right now, rate is really going down and I want to lock in something good before it too late. Already thinking of going for secondary market on Monday but my contact at stanbic keep telling me I will be debited cos the bid went through. Any advice please please please... |

ade101:That's how zenith kept telling me to wait till they finally told me it wasn't successful because I threatened to remove my money from the bank... they waited till 5pm friday b4 they called me.. after bank don close. Den they advised I do secondary.. if u really want to know if it wasn't successful... check your. account balance if your subscribed amount dey available balance instead of ledger balance then it wasn't successful.. simple. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Kemade2007(f): 1:12pm On Oct 07, 2017 |
ade101: If as at now, your account hasn't been debited just go for secondary market on Monday. Don't mind them they want to delay for another 2wks but try to confirm your account through internet, ATM or whatsoever because you may not receive alert. Mind you your interest will be left over in your account 1 Like |

Reyus: Fight ke. I'm the last guy that'll get into an online fight, there's nothing to be gained from it. I was actually being sarcastic with the "what if I told you" thing (search Lawrence Fishburne's internet meme) but I guess not everyone gets it. Good luck with your investments. |

Remember inflation too! If Inflation increases 5-6% or worse in 12 months? Just another factor to consider. kristien4: |

ade101:364 days for stanbic was successful and accounts were debited on thursday night. If your account has not been debited by this time then it is either the person that logged it doesn't know how to log or forgot to log it. How unfortunate. Pele. |
