Everybody was tensed but I wasn't. I always knew the game would be close and immediately we scored a goal it was over.

Where Goldfish dey, 3-0 right? The Zambians played well and they should have been a goal up, exactly what I expected them to do but God was totally on our side, they became less clinical unlike when they met us and we managed to hold out
This match is worthy of final. Tight, tactical, tense.

Mikel Agu... Poor passer of the ball, couldn't do the dirty job in the midfield.

Same here. I wish that both of us can go to the World Cup. They deserve to represent Africa too.

O pari

i wish that too ,they re fast and determinant ... i really like their tactics , its quite unfortunate for them , if they meet us again in the nations cup , the will not be an easy nut to crack .

Suggested line up against Algeria.

Nigeria played with too much nerves... Players trying to overdo but it does not matter now.

The job was done with one game to spare in a group containing 4 former African Champions

Outstanding by Rohr and his team

Great team display. Ndidi was great IMO, balogun excellent same with Ekong, Ezebwa full of confidence between the sticks. Mikel was once again captain fantastic, you could see the hunger in him. The elderly man tried, agu adjusted after a shaky start with some good blocks, ighalo missed some chances but his zeal couldn't be questioned, iwobi was class and I want to agree with joebie's suggestion of actually making him the am while mikel controls play from deep. Vic mosis constantly a menace and Shehu w ghost at can we say absolutely outstanding and exceptional!!!!!!!

My observations at FULL TIME

1. Alex Iwobi is the truth. Showed Zambians he could run too. His finish, calm and simple. That's how classy forward act in front of goal. Kudos to Arsenal youth.
2. Victor Moses had his good moments, but his performance today was below par based on what we know him for. I'm sure the Zambians were expecting his many runs, and they took care of that for the most part. He could have killed the game, but for his trying to do too much.
3. Ola Aina looked more comfortable in LB for the short time he was on the field. The Zambians had some good real estate at particular moment though. But Aina didn't get the luxury of support Echiejile got while on the pitch.
4. Balogun improved in the second half. Ekong deserves a mention for good reasons.
5. Shehu is a beast. Did i say that before?
6. Agu settled in, and raised his game in the second half. (told u guys to calm down)
7. Mikel Obi tried to use his ball holding strenght, but as expected the Zambians never let him settle. Let's not forget that wonderful run he made in the first half too early. A pretty good game put up by the "Chelsea legend"
8. Ezenwa did just enough. He did the needed. Made one memorable save, that many would erroneously give credit to the bar.
9. Isn't Ndidi a starting XI material? Not convinced yet? Nice attempt at goal. Nice save Mwenee.
10. Ighalo worked hard enough for the team. Failed on a couple options with his decisions in front of goal.
11. It was Simon Moses and not Onazi who was the provider when Ighalo missed.

Did you notice that? Chipoloppo knew our weak and used it in the first half. Uwa is not too bad but lacks the speed

Glad they could shut out the zambians this way. 13points no be beans. sincerely, the way Shehu and Iwobi linked up well on the flanks means they might become like Marcelo and Ronaldo.

papi Rohr did it, we did it, and now.... soar high Eagles.

Thank God!!!!! When the draws were made, many doubters of which I am one never gave the SE a chance, with the African champions, cameroun and best African team, Algeria, there was just no chance. We also had an ignoble achievement of a certain coach declining to work with us. In came Rohr and months later with a game to spare, the once underrated SE are the first African nation to qualify for the world cup!!!!!!

Watch out world, keep watching the idea rating and undermine Nigeria at your peril. Going to Russia to make history!!!!!!!

Shehu Abdullahi has the right back position sealed. Man of the match..

When did elderson get this bad? Aina should easily take over that position
