ur only reason is that he did back passes? Well I will stick with 5 tackles & 5 interceptions.

Where did you guys draw your stats from?

thank u the first half was a mess. Honestly I don't know how some people watch football. Leon played the man onside for the goal that was ruled off and he also got manhandled when Zambia missed a sitter around 30mins.
The question is.. was that goal onside?

The closest that plays Onazi's style is Lawal due to defending. Ajagun and Joel are more attack minded. I rather turn the tv off thant watch heavy duty Raheem Lawal play for Naija. I just can never ever fancy that guys style of play. I'd play Rabiu Ali before Raheem Lawal in my MF. Yes he may have some passes but he's too slow and lethargic when in possesion.

forgiveness:

If we are looking for a direct replacement for Onazi in the CMF role, my first choice is Joel Obi followed by Abdul Ajagun. But it these two are not available then Raheem Lawal is a better option than Azubuike.

Balogun had 3 tackles & 3 interceptions
Echiejile had 5 tackles & 5 interceptions, his problem was just being slow & didn't offer much going forward.

Your observation of Echiejile is spot on. Lack of speed is his undoing.

Pls do u mean d same Raheem Lawal, my man i w turn on my TV to watch him,d guy is good.

Due to what Agu diisplayed today,Rohr should invite Lawal and Azubuike and let see what they can do coz they are d ones closer to Onazi style of play which Rohr cherish.

I am beginning to think Azubuike might be better... But he did better in the second half.
Mikel Agu is a pure destroyer...I think people were expecting to see a ball playing DM which he isn't. I won't pass any judgement on him till he's played 2-3 games for us.

Iwobi was so clever to choose Nigeria over England. Southgate would've put him on bench to witness Chamberlain dropping a 1/10.

. Besides, Joel Obi and Ajagun are all rounder and don't forget that Onazi was once an offensive player before he was converted to a DMF last season.

He plays as a CMF for us most times.

Echiejile is not a bad player, he's a fine player who has peaked, that's not strange as it comes with age.

Remember, we didn't feel the absence of Taiye Taiwo when Elderson replaced him.

When Yobo was aging we noticed a decline in his game, forgetting how good he came for us in the past.

We need a replacement for Elderson ASAP, but tagging him a bad player is just disrespectful.
