Humility017: When comes to been clinical in front of goal, iheanacho has it,but when it comes to African games, iheanacho physique is a disadvantage to him,he's not built up to hold up play, disturb defenders dereby creating chances for oda players to score,WC ighalo possess d qualities. Check matches where d defenders are tall and strong, iheanacho struggles most times, his impact is not always felt at all, most especially if d midfeid re not supplying him passes very well Maybe, iheanacho shld create a niche for himself and play in a diff position, but as far as I am concerned when it comes to Top 9,iheanacho is not an ideal Candi date 2 Likes |

Mujtahida:Definitely a lot w happen after qualifications coz coach need to sit down and plan very well for better outing, formation w change, new players w come in to complement d team, meaning unexpected w happen, some player might be dropped but all these depends on Rohr. This is not d best we can get from d team but I believe before world cup things w take shape from goalkeeper, defence, midfield, attacks. Hope Rohr w get it right coz we need a good WC outing at least quarter final even if possible semi final. |

BascoVanVeli: You are missing the point. Success has achieved absolutely nothing. His career is on a downward spiral. And he has time for reckless cavorting, drinking and wild parties. THE GUY IS NOT SERIOUS. N'gole Kante a 4/5 years ago couldn't even get a club. When he was at Leicester he was so dedicated he use to run from his house to training not even drive. Disciplined focused and driven to succeed is what has made him last season the best player in the premiership. One thing you cannot absolutely afford as a player is bad publicity. It will essentially end your career, particularly when your career has not even started properly. Two years ago, Portuguese player from a Top Portuguese club was on the verge of big move. Was staying in a hotel and decided to carry Oloshi babes. Cut a long story, he was accused of rape and that whole saga literally ended his career, he was found not guilty after about a year of going to court, with all its ups and downs. Depending on the clauses in his contract he could find it ripped and thrown in the bin will litter cost to Watford. He has foolishly played into thier hands hopefully he will get off. But remember mud sticks. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Firstly, there is zero comparison. Balotelli, Rooney, Ronaldo I can mention other but all were well truly established top class players when they in Manchester. All of the above carry Oloshi babes (escort) Opio. But remember that had all achieved so much and they didn't start fighting like a area boys after saying them no go pay. Madness and utter stupidity on his part. 1 Like |

Humility017: Javier Hernandez is more clinical than a lot of Epl strikers but where is he? West Ham. Clinicality isn't everything. I for one believe that if Ighalo and Iheanacho are the two main strikers we have going to the world cup then we have a problem, a serious one. We need strikers who can combine what Ighalo and Nacho provide all in one. This is the world cup not nations cup and we know our defence will provide the opposing teams with bonafide chances(it is not a thing of shame, we are African teams, we always concede) so we have to look to outscore the opponents. Going to the world cup with a striker who can hold up play and ruffle defenders while missing open tapins and other easier to score chances OR going to the world cup with a 'supposedly' clinical striker who cannot hold up play or who goes missing when opposing defenders man-mark him is not the way forward. We need to see what Nwakeme brings, if I say Martins now nsogbu. We also need to check this Cyril guy, check Onyekuru in the CF position, maybe try a false nine position for him and Kayode etc etc but currently what we have now in the CF department is not good |

Me I'm not understanding again oooo. The team lists I have been seeing tho. Afraid is catching me. Even Brazil, Germany and Belgium that had already qualified put out strong and true 1st elevens barring 2 to 3 changes. Even Brazil could have told their stars to rest in Europe but they still invited them. Thank God Rohr is not a Nairalander coach. I still say it that i expect not more than 4 maximum changes to the squad that started against Zambia. soetanoreoluwa: |

Mickael2: Joshua Oghene -Tega Onomah is a player from Tottenham on loan at Villa. Watch his goal against Scotland and you can see some of his potential. Understand he is in a team with top class internationals and so his opportunities are limited. |

Kog45: I have known Tega since he was 15 and his coach a true gentlemen Ugo Ehiogu was the U16 coach. He was at that time up until U 23 the most technically gifted in the team. The issues is not getting them to play it's how we approach the matter. Right now there will.be a lot of behind the scenes maneuvering. Otherwise I WOULD GUARANTEE they would say yes as well as Ojo and Iorfa. People say they are contacting players, but they don't tell us the substance and nature of that approach. I can say it now there was a Nigerian origin player who would be still invited now. But refused to concede to underhanded demands including he must change his agent vto thier preferred agent. We are Nigerians you know how we are when Egunje matter enter thier mind. 2 Likes |

Lordabas:Imagine. We aren't in the Amodu/Lagerback days, so i'll still insist on sweating 4 d team, which Tammy hasnt. Infact he's been doing us ping pong. So cos he's one of d best, he should just hop aboard? I disagree. If he wasnt posting us on loyalty ish, its a dif game. Infact, contrast btw Enyeama and Tammy. Vince can hop aboard even if he hasnt play for a while. And we both know why. 1 Like |

Now that we have qualified for the WC can we re-table another bid for Tammy Abraham? If Ighalo will lead our attack in that world cup we will labour to get goals o. Those chances he missed were so appalling. If that Iwobi's chance at goal had fallen to the feet of Ighalo, that game would have ended 0:0. It is not looking good for Iheanacho at Leicester. We need a striker that will be prolific this season for club and will transfer that form to the WC. I would want to see Nwakaeme start against Algeria and Kayode should be recalled. 2 Likes |

Mickael2:Nice post, love your highlight'we need a striker that possess d quality of Ighalo and Nacho. This remind me of Rasheed Yekini at US 94,a very woeful outing for Yekini and one of his worst in his career for Eagles coz he only possess one of d attributes u outlined. 2 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mujtahida: 3:56pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
komekn:How about forming some sort of informal group that acts as a go between to the NFF and any foreign born player we want to reach out to. Such a group would consist of people who are familiar with Nigeria and the British. Though I'm not keen on foreign born players I'm still for anything that would give us a good run at the WC |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Nobody: 4:00pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
elyte89:Then its time to try this formation. Ighalo knows how to keep defenders busy by drawing them to himself, which will create a lot of space for iheanacho to capitalize on his lethal strikes if Ighalo finds him plus other chances that will be created. Shehu can replace Aweziem, while Simon or Iwobi replaces Etebo. An advantage of this formation is that scoring goals will be made easier which will be good against “top teams,” as well as playing a possession football. It can be tested during any of the friendlies. 1 Like
