komekn: You obviously left out Liverpool. Was Victor Moses quality or not when he was benching in Liverpool or when Mourinho dropped him? Club selection is not a good criteria. |

Kayode got his invitation. He still has to justify it whenever he gets invited again. I don't see how Kayode buttresses your point. Kayode has also had a decent run in Girona. He has started once, and has been brought in from the bench every other time. You are already talking about Kayode going to the world cup. You are way too ahead of reality. TheGoodJoe: |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:26pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
Joebie: Kayode's regular playing and goal scoring made him a precise choice for selection. He fell nicely into your criteria. That same player in a few months no more falls into your criteria. The question is, was he the right quality for selection? Because now, that same player does not fit again. The point is quality of the player. Not the one who the dice of luck falls on and he gets a run. We need the best quality. Not the best lucky to be selected by foreign coaches. 1 Like |

Lagosian fans should be no different from faithful fans in the stands of Munchen, London.. just name it. We have seen one of the greatest football supporters in Europe. It is well exemplified there as regards supporting their team. That Lagosian fan culture you are trying to celebrate is a backward one in my opinion. You have to stand behind your team whether they are playing badly or not. Every club or country plan to play like champions, and they should always be seen as such. forgiveness: 3 Likes |

Kog45: Emeka Fuludu Isaac Semitoje Nduka Ugbade were dropped. So just 3. But we had a more established team then. A team that we had been building for 5 years. I think, More than three can be dropped from the team that played Zambia. |

My brother, he is in a whole new league. Most people will attribute his performance there to him trying to adjust. Yes, he must perform in Spain to deserve another call up. Even young Success Isaac gave a good account of himself in lowly Granada -- remember? TheGoodJoe: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:31pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
komekn: Based on your criteria, that means he is not good enough for selection because we must only select players performing in their clubs. |

forgiveness:i think he want u to understand that a lot of factor can affect a player from playing regular,eg,coach's philosophy or preferences, thereby denying a good player from proving himself, like in the case of Debryne. if he were still in Chelsea since that time he left,he might still b chopping bench 3 Likes 1 Share |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:33pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
Joebie: Success performed at Granada because the coach gave him a regular run. If the coach did not, Success would not have performed. That is why Club selection hinges on the choices of foreign club coaches which could be sentimental. |

TheGoodJoe: thanks, i don't know why some of us here don't like IGHALO, we should be encouraging our own to improve, instead discarding, jst vos he didn't get the job done, before, i say a player missed a chance, i always look at two tins, the supply, and opposition, cope with the pressure 1 Like |

do4luv14: Ighalo was also slow to the ball. He was behind the pace of the forwards. That was a big challenge yesterday. He is the kind of striker who does not attack spaces with his pace. He does not make a good fit for an offensive strategy. |

Joebie: I want to see their reaction in Lagos. That's all. Besides, no magogo players will enjoy playing in Lagos because it will be obvious they don't want you and the coach fit chop water if continues to bring egunje players into the team. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 10:38pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
Your argument is way out of point. I gave my reasons why I called it backward. We have just qualified playing in Uyo. So we now have a new home.. Why change the team's home now? Do you have a cogent reason, than stating that we won trophies in Lagos etc in the past? This is a new team, and they are now playing comfortably in Uyo. forgiveness: 3 Likes |
