Abeg! Tell me another story.
They are everywhere but it's not everywhere that they have influence like Lagos of the past. Even in Lagos currently the touts are clamped down upon. Whatsup with Omo Onile? Are you aware of the law the LSHA enacted with stringent penalties against Omo Onile thing? So this things curb and reduce their influence.

I'm not supporting his argument in so far as he appears to be canvassing that booing our team is part of the winning mentality of Lagos. I've pointed out that that is old method and I just added again that Lagos are getting more civilised and would probably conduct themselves better if a game is hosted there.

Don't cover up with rotation because it's not harmful nor bad idea. grin

Abi, is there anything wrong with rotation? Oya, tell us make I hear.

Besides, he subject was about the response of the crowd and not rotation. Rotation is secondary.

As regards the primary, I've already had my say.

The incident happened while football fans were trying to enter the stadium during the World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

The fans were allegedly beaten by soldiers at the gates of the stadium with heavy sticks.

According to Punch, the stampede occurred as the crowd tried to avoid the soldiers’ sticks.

The newspaper reports that bloodstains were around the gate of the stadium, while policemen and personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps were seen standing beside some unconscious fans.

Some of the fans claimed they escaped death by the whiskers.

A female fan, Aniema Ekong, said, “I thank God that I’m alive. This is not the first time this kind of incident had occurred. In fact, in every major tournament, there is always a tale of woes to tell about security agents injuring or killing people.”

Another fan who identified himself as Chukwudi, said his girlfriend was severely injured by the security personnel manning the gate.

He said, “I don’t know why there is always trouble in this stadium.”

Ambulances were seen conveying injured persons to the hospital.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Elkana Bala, however, claimed that no one died.

He told the newspaper, “It is confirmed that nobody died. But some persons were injured while struggling to gain access into the stadium. The injured persons were taken to hospital for medical attention.”

Bro, the young man shamed my country. The way he denied naija was very hurtful. And he concluded his statement by saying "I have informed the FA (English FA) that I remain available for selection". That was the dagger!

I honestly don't want Nigeria to be somebody's second choice. We need the players we would wear the uniform with pride and not because their preferred country couldn't come thru for them.

Bros, bottles or any dangerous objects were never allowed in the bowl. So, how you take see bottle na em me I no understand? grin

Bottles don't have to be glass. Plastic bottles filled with water and cans can still be dangerous. That is even beside the point as what I disputed was your claim that there was no such thing as throwing missiles at players at AFCON 2000 which you claimed to have attended but the finals.

It's a pity there is no clip of that match around.

However, on the question of bottles and "objects" not being allowed in the stadium, take a look at what happened to the Tunisians at Abuja stadium in 2009 in the video below from 2:51 - 3:03. You don't have to be in the stadium to know that those weren't pure water sachets:

Bro, not me! As for me, 99.9% of the blame belongs to Pinnick. I even tweeted him a few times on twitter (along with that naija BBC reporter) to keep his moves on the down low....we don't wanna alert the English FA so they go ahead and cap him right away. But he ignored me because he needs his photo ops.

And as for the Oluwashina Okeleji somebody (the BBC reporter), I got into a twitter shouting match with him sef. But he kept on doing his thing because he wanted to report his scoop. That being selfish! That's unpatriotic!

Tammy's response was professional. Never talking down either on England or Nigeria. Just reiterating he is still committed to England [at least in the meantime]

I don't know about Abuja protocols but I can authoritatively state that such weren't allowed in Lagos stadium. Fact.

Mobil Athletics trials are boring and in most cases are free toll. grin

Forget fancy footwork and tiki taka, this is the true beauty of football. The fans, the stadium, the atmosphere, that is what I find most attractive in the sport.

I think it has to do with strategy. If we are sitting deep and need a strong forward to battle with defenders, Ighalo gets the pick. If we are going with an offensive strategy that will require a striker attacking spaces with pace, Nacho gets the nod.

you seems to forget something else,

nothing wrong with sitting deep, with a lone man, or playing offensive, with your man attacking space with pace,

the most important thing in strategy, is playing to the rules spelled out, accordingly, and in so doing you have to bring ur man strength into consideration,

so wether we are sitting deep or not, any strategy withou considering the strength of our player is null and void

Those players need our credit... Remember we didn't qualify for last two nations cup... And qualified for WC in the suppose group of death..

as if this will be the first time junk news is making NL homepage. When the news ofghem debunking the story makes homepage, don't forget to bring it here.

E no hard to confirm story in this age, a common visit to Twitter helps. If there indeed was a stampede that killed five people before the match, we would have known DURING the match at least. The players would have said something after the match, the people in the stadium would have tweeted about it. Tapping news from some nonsense blog to defend silly behaviour is juvenile
