you are missing the point. Forgiveness said the guy is like Iwobi and....was it Joel Obi? wrapped in one. Now a player who has the qualities of Iwobi and Joel Obi at the same time should DEFINETLY be better than Sissoko. I am not saying the boy isn't good

Onomah is the combination of Iwobi and Raheem Lawal. This is what I said and it remains my opinion.

Salah's first goal looked like an offside to me. The penalty call seemed legit though

i think it wasn't

he was offside but the opponent's player was the person who gifted him the ball with the head

This offside rule needs some more explaining ooo . the Zambians are refusing to accept that their goal was ruled offside..

Even if they appeal,i doubt FIFA will order a replay. the player might not have been offside but the referee had blow the whistle before he went ahead and scored

If that is the way Rohr chose to go by Playing compact and leaving a lone workhorse up front, it is okay. However, back to my earlier point, I will always pick a striker who attacks spaces with pace over a workhorse because I always favor and offensive strategy. Always.

Gerrit? grin

nope i don't, and that's y nacho and ighalo fails to reach the overhit balls,, you might want yo watch that Cameroun game again,

if mikel had over hit, you know already what happens,
same with nacho, if ( i think it was vicmo, or correct me ) had over hit that ball, nacho too wont have score

He needs guidance. I've reached out to him on Twitter. Maybe he will reply.

He who has no sin cast the first stone. I am sure that if we all got to see ourselves at 21 there would be a few embarrassing details. Now imagine adding 30k a week to that and we have recipe for disaster. Lets not forget that this boy does not have a known father figure in his life. Losing Ighalo really set him back because he doesn't have a mentor @ Watford any more IMO.

lol....I actually cried watching this, especially when the commentator started crying. Very emotional

Forget fancy footwork and tiki taka, this is the true beauty of football. The fans, the stadium, the atmosphere, that is what I find most attractive in the sport.

Congratulations once again to beautiful Egypt, that is the real blood, sweat and tears that deserves a World Cup slot.

Hopefully, Senegal will be next....but nothing can beat this Egyptian celebration
if they mistakenly win WC,many will die

Mulenga was offside because his upper body was ahead of Ekong when he received the pass from his team mate.
If any part of the body that can be legally used to score a goal is ahead of the 2nd to last player of the opposing team, then that player (in the attacking position) is offside.

For the no 9 slot, Ighalo, Iheanacho, Martins, Kayode, Nwakaeme, Dessers, Dennis Bonaventure, Olayinka, Awoniyi, Osimhen, Ideye and Tammy Abraham are all in contention provided any of them do well this season.

No favourism or sentiment should be attached to selection to the world Cup.

bros don't waste your time forgiveness will never let facts get in the way of winning an argument. i also remembered that particular game in 2000 wasn't sure if it was congo or malawi. the fans were using plastic bottles as missiles against our players. at a point gbenga okunowo had to be begging them to stop when he wanted to play a corner

tglobal:

Bottles don't have to be glass. Plastic bottles filled with water and cans can still be dangerous. That is even beside the point as what I disputed was your claim that there was no such thing as throwing missiles at players at AFCON 2000 which you claimed to have attended but the finals.

It's a pity there is no clip of that match around.

However, on the question of bottles and "objects" not being allowed in the stadium, take a look at what happened to the Tunisians at Abuja stadium in 2009 in the video below from 2:51 - 3:03. You don't have to be in the stadium to know that those weren't pure water sachets:

Nonsense.

Just like how he has also failed to leave up to expectations in his career.

Success was not yet in camp with the 2013 Eaglets when Etim Esin and my humble self gave them lectures on the negative effects of living a wreckless life as a footballer. Etim himself and Okoronwanta were the two major case studies.

Well, thank God we are seeing the positive results in the lives of likes of Ndidi, Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Nwakali bothers, Yahaya and co.

Success has missed it. Its a shame.

While other youngsters like Iheanaco, Iwobi, Simon, Ndidi, Etebo, Aina, Shehu are ready to take Nigeria and their careers to the next level. This one is just destroying his future.

Chai Isaac the beast Success. *Shake my head*.

the egyptians have suffered 27 plus years of hurt that was just the release of many years of pained emotions. i think losing out to algeria in 2010 particularly hurt them to the marrow. like the great alex ferguson said after manchester united miraculously won the 1999 champions league

It is not about overhitting but attacking the space. The space was open and Ighalo did not attack it. When the cross came he was too late to get there. Look at Iheanacho's last goal against Cameroon. He attacked there and when the cross came, he was in the perfect position to score. Ighalo should have attacked the space before the cross came. Nacho would have. That was why after the miss, the camera captured Nacho with his back to the field shaking his head. He knew Ighalo missed that opportunity.

Safarigirl, I do take exception to the word 'steal.' You may prefer "invite preferentially."

However, I have been constrained in reaching you because you are female and I know male-female DMs on this website has been hugely abused. If you would respond however, I would love to have you join us. Indeed, our entire Nigerian society probably needs more enlightened and participating females.

nope i still don't, you are talking about different scenario, think again,

against Cameroun, we are already home and dry, even that goal, can be score by anybody not jst nacho alone, look at it again nacho was already dia before the cross was made,

i tell you nacho would had been worst against those Zambians, with the way the game went, so he shaking his head dis meant nothings

Kayode performed but he was not called until public outcry forced the coaching crew to include him in the National team. grin

Now, he is no longer called. Ask why? They will tell you because he's not doing well. Double standard is the measure used for selection in the National team. grin

That's is why I said they must prove themselves before getting invitation. Let us maintain the status quo the coaching crew are claiming to use for invitation remains. grin
