EgunMogaji: In a sane clime like both of us know, such a scenario will kick-off a 999 call. So as the robbers are spending valuable time breaching the security, the residents call for help. In the name of all that is good, how much will it take to establish a functional community 999 center, well equipped and well managed. Again be that as it may, that crime scene is a goldmine for the forensic boys. Take fingerprints, sweat and blood samples, run these through a frequently updated data base and a match might be hit due to the laws of averages and repeat offending. How much would it take to set up a functional community forensic Lab dear Nigeria? This would also provide employment for forensic science graduates. Nigeria I hail o! 3 Likes |

God DAMN!!!!! I fvcking need assault rifle to sleep with my eyes closed in Nigeria. I keep telling people that burglary proof is to only slowdown armed robbers for maximum of five minutes. I need guns to protect myself while on visit in Nigeria. How do I get one to protect myself while in Nigeria?

FastShipping:Simple matter, those ones Egun as in his hand are sold on street here for $25 no need to stress yourself on that. This is why I believe it is important to have Attic on ones rooftop to run the bullets from there if one find him self in saturation like that. |

Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Daboomb: 3:50pm On Oct 10, 2017 |
FastShipping: One-man, Gun-Riot will not work in Nigeria of today, never worked. I remember (and l am sure other people will remember too), one of our family aquaintances who lived around Surulere (and owns a school there) some years past, who owns an 'arsenal' of weapons for self protection. He used to shoot them bad-boys down like flies, if thy dare enter his street. The day they came for him, they numbered about twenty and did Night-vigil on him for like four hours and at the end of the day, they only killed him (he killed three of them also, that same day) to prove a point. He eventually ran out of Bullets. No less that a thousand rounds would have been expended that day. Nothing was stolen from the area. The Police station was just a few minutes drive fom this street in question, Police didnit even bother to come to work, as we say. So, it is always about a mixture of common sense (dont be going around proving you are loaded, do "saaraah" for the boys when necessary and stop acting 'asshats' all over the place, be cautious and observant of eveything that is 'strange' or out of place, be nice to those around you as your worst enemies are those in your neighbourhood, e.t.c) and some level of deterrence (iron bars, dogs, elelctric fence, e.t.c), for the small, opportunistic street thief. Keeping a very low profile, is the best protection l have come to know. 10 Likes |

FastShipping: Unfortunately, NOTHING can deter determined thieves, once they set their sight on you! Like l said, avoid getting on thei radar by keeping a low-profile. Blend-in, whenever you come around: Dress-mode only can give you out because there are some clothes that are obviously not sold in Nigerian markets that when worn new, means the person has "just landed". - Drop the Americana ascent. - Watch were you change currency - Avoid Night Clubs, that is the number one place to get marked. - In your hood, know the bad-boys by name and occassionally, blend with them (if you can) - Do community service (pay for it) when things come up - Be very observant and look strangers right in the eye so they know you will recognise them anytime after - Do the usual security stuffs ( Dogs, Cameras, elelctric fence, High Walls, Iron Grills, e.t.c) so they know you are also conciosus of what is gwan and dont like petty thieves. - keep some raw cash at home because it might be necessary to "negotiate and settle' in the middle of the night rather than let some angry Youth use you for target practice. Finally, pray to your own God that since you have not taken from anyone, by force or by trick, yours shall not be taken also. 5 Likes |

peterphd: IF a damn wayward child should try to retrieve a stuck ball or one of the wire cuts and dangles to the neighbors side of fence, etc As much as I’m a prepper, I’ve designed/copied proper home defense tactics to include progressively deadlier defense as you near my safe room. Putting a deadly defense step as a very first step makes me shiver. I also don’t believe that god saves people from armed robbers, that’s absurd. If so there should be no crime in Nigeria if one is to look at the house of worship to citizen ratio You’re welcome Sir. 2 Likes |

peterphd: When I was in secondary school in Owo. We were passed by a church van on the road. They all were in church uniform and actively singing. Few miles up the road they ran into a timber truck (agbegilodo) and all died. A church group singing church songs and they died in a crash. That was a turning point for me. 3 Likes |

kopell: Absolutely!! without a doubt. My wife thought I was crazy to trust an absolute stranger, a Nigerian for that matter!! with an ungodly sum of money not only to deliver but to deliver the agreed numbers and agreed quality or better. on some occassions He upgraded some items they didnt have in stock and left it open for me to choose to pay or not pay for the upgrades.most sellers would downgrade and tell you its the same or not tell you at all. I am a very good judge of character and I study ppl before I even attempt to engage them. useful recommendations, high end brands, and good after sales relations. some items were damaged during transit and were replaced without plenty grammar. Once most sellers collect Money, you are O-Y-O 5 Likes |
