freedom96:I think you need to get two creams. One is called an emollient (a moisturizer, preferably a non-perfumed moisturizer) which can be gotten from cosmetic stores. The other is 1% hydrocortisone cream which would be gotten from a pharmacy. After your baths , rub the emollient on the affected areas, then 30mins later, rub in the hydrocortisone cream. Do this morning and evening. If after a week there are no significant improvements, then you may have to visit the Hosp. |

suzzy4God:First I should ask, do you know how to do a breast examination? The description of the kinda lump you noticed is important. Anyways, the doctor who examined you is in a better position to determine if a mammogram is the next best step. You should know that the alternative to a mammogram is an ultrasound of the breast which is usually recommended for younger ladies. Why? Cos their breasts contain much more fatty tissue than that of the older women whose breasts are devoid of fats. So there you go...........if you ask me, I think an ultrasound is it, but a knowledge of the kinda lump would be more helpful in making a choice |

Frenchfriez:Thanks. First child with CS and the reason for the CS was to save the baby life because she had prolong labour and water sac had been broken. |

honeyjoy77:If the CS was without complication, then the advice would be to wait for at least 6months before trying to conceive the next pregnancy. Some Doctors advice on 9months. |

Good afternoon Doctor... I saw my mensuration on the 9th of August, I have 35days cycle.. Am supposed to see it on the 22nd of September but up till now I have not seen anything.. Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by wowfairy(f): 4:30pm On Oct 10, 2017 |
Frenchfriez:i did hvs and endocervical swab and it showed moderate growth of staph aureus same tin for my husband. The test was recomended After i experienced pain in my lower abdominal Area, pain during intercourse and a lotionlike white discharge although odorless. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 8:56pm On Oct 10, 2017 |
Janedera:Well, I don't know how you arrived at the 22nd sept date but that's surely more than a 40day cycle. A significantly delayed menses could be caused by a number of factors, common among which is pregnancy. However , when preg has been ruled out, we begin to look at other factors like : > Are you using contraceptive pills or have you used postinor in the past month? > You may ne having an untreated pelvic infection > Have you been involved in strenuous and physically tasking activities within the month in question. This includes distance travels or any other activity which ur not used to > Psychological issues bothering you or by a long shot, hormonal issues. Identifying which of these could be the problem is a step to the solution, then you'd have to visit the Hosp and find a lasting solution to it. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by mishB(f): 8:52pm On Oct 12, 2017 |
Frenchfriez:Good evening doc.....My sister just discovered she is having chronic pid...She has been having abdominal cramps that do migrate down to her legs... That was y she went for scan and discovered d pid...She is TTC since she had miscarriage 3 months ago....What can she do to get rid of the pid n what are chances of conceiving after pid treatments? Thanks |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 9:21pm On Oct 12, 2017 |
mishB:I would advice she goes for a high vaginal swab (HVS), that's a test that isolates the cause of the pid and makes it easier to treat. If the appropriate antibiotics are used , pid can be taken care of and she would conceive just like any other lady. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 2:36pm On Oct 13, 2017 |
jeremiaz:Like seriously why do we keep doing this? What would it have cost you to have visited the Hosp gobadaya instead of trying out several meds? Ffs, do you really have scabies? How sure are you about the diagnosis. Secondly, all the drugs but one arent necessary for use in scabies treatment. Why waste ur scarce resources? The diagnosis of scabies is clinical and you didn't get permethrin cos it's a prescription med. My advice is this, do well to visit the Hosp, get checked and obtain the appropriate prescription. Aside from permetrin, there are 2-3 other alternative treatments for scabies (aside the supportive treatments) which are also prescription meds. Do let us know how it goes to see if we have to come in at some point. |

jeremiaz:Get benzylbenzoate cream it's just 500 Take a shower at night ,use the cream to rub all ur body part, leave for atleast 48hrs without taking ur bath. Repeat this 7days later Clean and wash thoroughly all ur clothings, beddings to avoid reinfection. |
