Frenchfriez Good afternoon Doc,pls I noticed some small rashes on the back of my fingers and on my legs,knees and elbow a month or so ago,the rashes healed without treatment,but I noticed the skin there was darker and just last wee my skin at those places,and particularly my hand and elbows, started peeling off for a new one,what do u suggest I do?My hands don't look so good cos of the peeling now, it feels dry and giving or taking a handshake is a bit embarrasing cos of the appearance.Help pls.

Good evening doctor(s) in the house,pls I observed something like a lump in my left b..rea..st,so I complained to a doctor who examined it and said there is nothing there,that it must be due to the fact that am breastfeeding,he said because I complained abt feeling pains there,he prescribed 1g augmentin which I started on Sat but to me,it wasn't doing anything so I went back,he suggested that I do mammogram to be sure of what is there.I plan to do it this coming Sat but I read somewhere on one thread here on nairaland that one must be 35years and above before doing mammogram,pls what is ur advise? though I will clock 35 next year.

Usually would depend on:
1 How many children she has given birth to ,
2. how many cs she has had and
3. the reason for the CS.
Can you provide answers to 2 & 3?

Thanks. First child with CS and the reason for the CS was to save the baby life because she had prolong labour and water sac had been broken.

I think you need to get two creams. One is called an emollient (a moisturizer, preferably a non-perfumed moisturizer) which can be gotten from cosmetic stores. The other is 1% hydrocortisone cream which would be gotten from a pharmacy.
After your baths , rub the emollient on the affected areas, then 30mins later, rub in the hydrocortisone cream. Do this morning and evening.
If after a week there are no significant improvements, then you may have to visit the Hosp.

If the CS was without complication, then the advice would be to wait for at least 6months before trying to conceive the next pregnancy.
Some Doctors advice on 9months.

This is his brief history
No diabetes, no HB, infact no terminal disease apart from the usual typhoid/malaria
He likes sugary stuff. Drinks pepsi and the likes everyday sometimes twice a day
Smokes 2 to 3 sticks of cigarette daily.
We had (heavy) staph and treated it. Went for a confirmatory test and the results came back clean.
He doesn't exercise and he isn't fat
He's 38
He gets an erection but loses it at 40 seconds interval.
Please what is the way forward?

Good afternoon Doctor... I saw my mensuration on the 9th of August, I have 35days cycle.. Am supposed to see it on the 22nd of September but up till now I have not seen anything.. Am kind of worried cos diz happened to me during Dix time last year I overlooked it cos I thought I was pregnant but after having a test it was negative

i did hvs and endocervical swab and it showed moderate growth of staph aureus same tin for my husband. The test was recomended After i experienced pain in my lower abdominal Area,pain during intercourse and a lotionlike white discharge although odorless.

i was given Sensitive Antibiotics ciprofloxacin,flagyl,doxcycline which i and my husband took religiously for abt 2wks but I am still having d lotionlike discharge and not seeing egg white cervical mucus during ovulation which is why i am in search of another treatment. Pls can you help,i got married june last year as a virgin and i have treated pid and staph aureus severally for about a year now

Good evening doc.....My sister just discovered she is having chronic pid...She has been having abdominal cramps that do migrate down to her legs... That was y she went for scan and discovered d pid...She is TTC since she had miscarriage 3 months ago....What can she do to get rid of the pid n what are chances of conceiving after pid treatments?

I would advice she goes for a high vaginal swab (HVS), that's a test that isolates the cause of the pid and makes it easier to treat.
If the appropriate antibiotics are used , pid can be taken care of and she would conceive just like any other lady.
