Hello everyone, I just got my redmi 4a today and I need help and some answers pls. First how do I open the back or put in the sim and sdcard? Also, does the network band support Nigerian networks mostly GLO and mtn? Thanks

It's not through the back but side.
There's a pin for the SIM slot. Gently insert in the hole by the upper left side of your device.
As for the network bands, your device is compatible with them.

Yes.... Tho I am still on miui8 8.2.10.0 stable with an option of updating to 8.5 global stable ROM via updater app....
But if I update to the miui9 developers ROM will I be able to update to the global stable miui9 when it is released?

Thanks very much. I have done as you instructed but nothing is happening. Is it this particular phone that has a problems or I have to poke it in a particular way? I'm getting a little concerned. Pls what should happen when you poke the hole by the side?

If done correctly the SIM tray pops out. You then place your SIM cards appropriately & insert back the tray.

You can check the phone pack for possible illustrations or watch YouTube videos to get a clearer picture so you don't damage your device.

I'm so glad to inform you all that the 'receiver'/top inner speaker of my RN4 is back online this morning. What happened? I really don't know, though I reset the device on Monday at noon, that didn't seem to have resolved it cuz till yesterday afternoon, was still using my earphone.

I think she meant Glo 4G
Redmi 4A doesn't support that

Watch a video like people have suggested or get someone in the know to assist you. It's pretty straightforward though.
