kettykin: Pls if you have to insult; do so with intelligence and be factually correct. First of all how can Dr. Junaid's speech be construed as hate speech; where were the essential ingredients of hate e.g. incitement, insults or threats? Secondly; I hope you know the difference between regional contributions to the economy and contribution of same to the forex; otherwise you wouldn't have made that foolish statement because you would have known the major contributory sector to the economy in terms of GDP is in fact agriculture (the main output of the north) and not oil as many erroneously think. Yes, when it comes to forex, oil contributes almost 80% to it; which in turn funds most of govt's activity (hence the importance being attached to it); however; when it comes to regional contributions the SE contributes less than 2% of oil and is the least in providing forex to the centre - so this notion of the north contributing nothing has already been debunked as hogwash because the real parasites are in the SE. Pls stop playing ostrich, Nnamdi Kanu wasn't replying to anyone when he set up Radio Biafra to incite, insult and threaten northerners in particular and Nigerians in general with violence and war; nor was he replying anyone during his street marches and organised rallies when he was defiantly spewing his raw vitriol of hate. 5 Likes |

It's really sad listening to this unfortunate man; or how else can one describe someone who ought to be a statesman but has reduced himself to a 'gutter politician' fanning the embers of disunity?....and people like him are the ones preventing the wounds of the past from healing. For me, these old politicians who were around during the civil war are the ones who keep reopening old wounds and frustrating our efforts at national cohesion. For me, the reservation I have for the igbos is that their political class don't invest politically in their sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves in business & academics, and possess huge electoral potential. Okay, can anyone tell me what electoral value was in Prof Osinbajo that earned him running mate in the APC presidential ticket?...it's just that some political godfather somewhere spotted his academic brilliance and converted it to an electoral value! Yet the igbos currently have an array of globally respected intellectuals and businessmen, yet no one is considering their electoral potential. I can imagine how far people like Oby Ezekwesili,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Barth Nnaji, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Gerald Ilukwe, Chimamanda Adichi, etc would have gone politically if they were hausa or yoruba. These are global brands whose names unbelievably connect well with commoners everywhere in the North and of course here in the south; But it is just sad that there is no one even in the East that 's willing to harness the electoral potentials in these personalities all of whom eminently qualify as presidential materials. This is my humble opinion. 4 Likes |

Because during those day's first we have a Yoruba president and besides of our former president Yar adua and every Nigerian president and they are Not Igbo's. There is one who is Yoruba and a Fulani's and Hausa so that is why we don't have presidents who are Igbo's but I believed we should have a Igbo President for Nigeria so we hope will have one pretty soon ooooo. |

kettykin: Highlight the HATE part of the article? Funny how you people turn everything you don't like into hate speech when in fact everything about you Igbos is hate and bigotry related. The presidency is not any kind of entitlement or bestowed privilege, you end up with the presidency by nationwide votes and the ballot, but you people know for a fact that you can not win any nationwide election in Nigeria because you need substantial votes and support from the other regions and since your only social currency in Nigeria remains hatred, bigotry, abuse, and insults against the other regions, you are not going to get any vote or support from them. You are and have been in your own self-created and self-destructive wilderness and I don't see you getting out of that wilderness anytime soon. Learn how to reap and deal with what you sow. 4 Likes |

Wow, I don't comment on political matters but this got my attention. Are you kidding me We call this men elders but look at their sense of reasoning, when did the presidency become a birthright to the north?, And the funniest part is, I see some comments here which are just baseless, how has the president being from the north affected you positively?, Lots of questions that needs answers, or you just want to boast that your president is from the north hence this silly statements, oga pack wel, I actually thought the youths would have learnt it's lesson by now and start looking for credible leaders and not minding the Geo political zone but it seems it's still same story all over again.... just a pity, just a pity |

FriendNG: Don't worry 2023 and 2027 is not far. You will see that Igbos don't tolerate slavery. You will know that Python can be killed. Kanu has awoken the Igbos to see that they must free themselves through arms if necessary. The storm is gathering. Thank God we have enough time to prepare for it this time around. It will start in the East but end on the bombed ruins of Sokoto, Katsina , Kano etc. 1 Like |

Praktikals: It is one move, Tinubu regrets till date. Working with the north. But you know what, if Tinubu had worked like that with an Igbo man believe me even tinubu knows that Igbos would never forget him. Ask him how he flourished as an opposition under Jonathan for helping him to power in 2011.. If Nigeria remains one and the north is done with power, na that time una go know say Igbos have intellectuals...NNAMDI KANU NA TOY. .. |
