Ekong or who... Forgot Ekong o... Ekong best friend is Balogun... All those dance and stuff ain't part of them... But ekong do relate very well with other member but not playfull.. The only person that can work on ebuechi is Onazi
I think we are over flogging ebuehi's issue. I see no reason why he shouldn't get well along considering there are up to five players along the same age bracket with him. its not like those days when you have to be saying bros abeg pass the ball.
It might just be due to perception became he looks like a level headed disciplined person. I think he will make the squad, If we don't get another left back before the world cup

RUSSIA 2018 WCQ UPDATE:

USA have just missed out of World Cup qualification for the first time since 1986, after losing to Trinidad & Tobago. They barely fell short of the play-off spot after finishing 5th on the North & Central American qualifiers table.

I remember when Klinsmann was gunning for foreign-borns. Some section of American's kicked against it. They fired Klinsmann, and now their sentiments have paid off.

Those Americans de reason for side. Them DE hardly reason straight.

Why don't you take time to check him out and not just judge based on olympics in which he scored 4goals as a 19year old I don't know what you want from him. Check his pre season clips, I believe all he needs to be a starter for the SE Is game time and a few goals, he is that good.
It is not beans to be in the Italian serial A even if you are not a starter, he's second choice to Belloti at Torino, Belloti is Italy top striker, a Nigerian 21 year old is the second choice and that dosent impress you?
Okay, I will check him out cos I was speaking from his performance during the Olympics. Thanks

Eagles striker Kingsley Eduwo rejects $1 million Iraqi offer

By admin -
October 11, 2017, 9:26 am

CHAN Eagles star Kingsley Eduwo has turned down a staggering one million dollars deal tabled by an Iraqi club, ScoreNigeria.com.ng can exclusively report.

Eduwo’s representative Lanre Famakinwa told ScoreNigeria.com.ng the 21-year-old striker, who netted 16 goals in all competitions for Lobi Stars this past season, does not wish to rush out of the country for only money, but for football reason as well.

“Kingsley (Eduwo) got a one-million-dollar deal a year from an Iraqi team, but we agreed not to accept the offer because Kingsley is not in a rush,” Famakinwa told SCORENigeria

“He does not want to rush and get a deal just for the money only, he has a future in main stream European leagues.”

Eduwo’s goal against Benin in Kano last month qualified Nigeria to next year’s CHAN.

The all-action striker also featured at the recent WAFU Cup in Ghana.

Oga, are you reading my posts at all or you just like to argue?

What was Awoniyi's performance like last year in Eredivise?

The question is who is ahead not who is older.. I think it is clear

If you want to use Awoniyi's performance to argue Dessers is ahead, then I want to ask two questions. grin

Which League is highly rated between the Belgium pro league and the Eredivise? grin Answer; Belgium pro league. grin

What was Dessers performance like in his 3 years at a more better league than the Eredivise before he was relegated to the second tier of Eredivisie?

The point is Awoniyi is in a more better league than he was last year, despite that his performance has improved.

Peter Olayinka scored 19 goals with 7 assists two seasons ago. And he even played in the Europa. But last season he played mostly as a winger yet he scored 6 goals with 3 assists. How is Dessers ahead?

Dennis Bonaventure just started is Football career last season yet he has done better this season than Dessers who started his career 6 years ago. grin

Nigeria will definitely be in pot 4 and thus cannot be in same group as Panama, Saudi Arabia, Korea or Japan who would end up in same pot based on upcoming FIFA ranking on Monday(October).

Egypt, Tunisia/CRC, and Tunisia may avoid pot 4 and enter pot 3 but cannot also end up in our group as we are in same confederation.

Likely Pot scenerio:

Pot 1 - Russia, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland, France (Switzerland over France if they scaled playoff.

Pot 2 - European teams + Peru if Peru scale through in playoff

Pot 3 - Remaining European teams, top 1-5 African/Asian teams

Pot 4 - remaining teams. Greece can end up in pot 4 if it scale through playoff.

At the end of the day, this method of using ranking is same as previous method of only using ranking for Pot 1.

Enyeama Hint At Eagles Return – Never Wanted To Do This But I Don’t Have A Choice
October 10, 2017080

Former goalkeeper and captain of the Super Eagles Vincent Enyeama has dropped a hint about a possible return to the team he left after a row with former coach Sunday Oliseh.

Present coach of the team Gernot Rohr has already confirmed a return is on the card for the 35 year old once he is back to full fitness, and also sort out his issue at French side Lille.

Enyeama has recovered from the surgery he had in the summer, but he is yet to get his club future sorted out as new coach Marcelo Bielsa of Lille axed him and ten others ‎from the first team.

Shortly after Nigeria’s qualification for the World Cup, the former captain of the Super Eagles dropped a post on social media, which suggest a possible return to the team soon.

The two times nominee for best goalkeeper in France congratulated the Super Eagles after the 1-0 win over Zambia in Uyo which sealed their qualification for the World Cup in Russia.

He later posted another line which suggest a return is near although it could mean something else judging by the call for divine guidance in the post.

I've given you the tips. But sometimes the picture url will not work depending on the news source. What I normally do in that situation is substitute the picture by searching for another with google. Just to spell out the basics again.

1. make sure the picture URL has the picture format at the end (png, jpeg etc)
2. if the picture had been resized, delete that section of the URL after png/jpeg
3. make sure you have your opening and closing tags correctly --> [img][/img]

Most times it will work if all the above 3 points is satisfied
when it doesn't, you may use an alternative picture.

You can also change the font of your text grin . Let me leave you to explore that.

I think we are reading too much into it. dem dey see like that sometimes in a team. If you look from left to right in the bench, there is sometimes that one player that looks introverted. I think it's just his personality. I will have to see how he acts in his club to make a conclusion though.

VICTOR MOSES IS MY WORLD CUP JOKER – Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr Reveals

Nigeria won’t have much problems at Russia 2018 World Cup according to coach Gernot Rohr if their star forward Victor Moses stay injury free from now till the period leading to the tournament.

Rohr said the abilities of Victor Moses in playing different roles will come handy to the team in Russia, if he stays fit, and according to Rohr he was the most impressive player during the World Cup Qualifiers.
”The most impressive player in my team is Victor Moses. He is fast, quick in football and I hope he will not get injured before the World Cup in Russia. I have absolute confidence in him”, Rohr said in chat with newsmen.
”For the World Cup, we must build a better team more than better than the qualifying team if we are to do well at the global stage. I also need the experience players “, he concluded.
Moses who plays as a wing back for Chelsea, but plays in attack for Nigeria was the top scorer for the Super Eagles who are through to the World Cup with a game to spare after their 1-0 win over Zambia last weekend.

Rohr rules Mikel, Ighalo out of Algeria trip

By JUDE OPARA, ABUJA

As the Super Eagles await the November 11 formality game with the Desert Foxes of Algeria in the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, technical adviser of the team, Gernot Rohr has revealed that he might excuse the duo of China-based captain, Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo from the game. Ighalo and Mikel Rohr explained that the game though very important to win because of the FIFA ranking and the draws for the World Cup will also be an opportunity to test the ability of some other players to represent the country at the highest level.

According to him, the China based players will be playing on November 4 and will not have the luxury of a two weeks grace like they had during the twin header with Cameroon, hence the need to avoid stressing them unnecessarily. “Honestly, it is going to be a dicey one because it is important for us to finish the qualifiers without losing a match. However, we will want to marry the two situations of not losing the game and also giving an opportunity to some other new players to showcase their skills. “Also remember that before then, some players might be fit while others may not.

Those coming from China have a long journey to make and when their league resumes on November 4, they will not have the extra two weeks like they had when we played Cameroon’’. Rohr also revealed that he is already targeting to play an international friendly with Tunisia after the game with Algeria so as to have an ample opportunity of seeing some other players he has not seen ahead of the Mundial.

EAGLES NEWBIE OLA AINA BOAST – SUPER EAGLES CAN BEAT ENGLAND AT RUSSIA 2018 WORLD CUP

Freshly capped Nigeria senior international defender Ola Aina says Super Eagles are capable of beating the Three Lions of England if both teams meet at the World Cup next-door year in Russia.

Aina who represented England at various youth levels before switching allegiance to Nigeria made his debut for Nigeria in the 1-0 win over Zambia last weekend, which sealed their passage to next year World Cup.
Presently out on loan to Hull City from English Premier League champions Chelsea, the recently turned 21 year old said Nigeria have players good enough to beat any team in the world.
”The Super Eagles have the materials to beat any team, I know that if we work hard, we can beat any team at the World Cup, not just England. A team that prepare well can beat any team if they work hard. It’s not just Nigeria beating England “, he said in an interview with Abuja based Nigerian journalist Francis Achi.
”There is no hard feeling playing against England, it’s just a game. They are my friends and I play against my friends every week in England “, he concluded.
He rounded up by praising the atmosphere in the camp of the Super Eagles and also appreciated the fans for their support during the course of the 1-0 win over Zambia.

FLASH BACK: FOREIGN-BRED SPEAK

Exclusive Interview – New Wolfsburg Signing Uduokhai Picks Germany Ahead Of Nigeria
July 1, 20170573

Highly rated 1860 Munich 19 year old German-Nigerian defender Ohis Felix Uduokhai says his dream is to play for the senior national team of Germany.

Rumoured to as one of the players coach of the Nigeria senior national team Gernot Rohr is eyeing for a call up to the Nigeria team in the future, Uduokhai has revealed his intentions to progress through the youth ranks with Germany.

Already he has represented Germany at U19 and 20 levels and according to the centre back, he is focused on playing for the senior team in the future.

He made this known during an interview with Deutscher fussball-Bund picked up by Owngoalnigeria.com online editor.

DFB.de: The sporting success of the main character seems to be something that you and your team share. How are you feeling about how you have started the new year?

Uduokhai: We are of course very pleased to have started off with a win against Fürth. You never know how quickly you will get going after a time away and the result was positive for us.

DONT MISS ==> Vincent Enyeama Retirement Date Draws Near As Lille Line Up Replacement
DFB.de: New head coach Victor Pereira has installed a three-man defensive system. How are you adapting to the new setup?

Uduokhai: Even though we occasionally played with three or five at the back before the winter break, a new coach obviously brings new ideas. The first game of that is never easy and we worked very hard for it, and hopefully we will improve the smaller details as we continue.

DFB.de: So far you have played for both the U19 and U20 national teams. Do you see yourself featuring for the senior team?

Uduokhai: I am delighted with every call-up to the youth sides. It is a real honour for me. Every kid dreams of one day playing for the national team and it is an ambition I share.

DFB.de: Why do you wear the shirt number 17?

Uduokhair: I was looking for a number and it was free! Jerome Boateng wearing 17 had no bearing on my picking it. Despite that, I of course want to follow in the footsteps of the best defenders in the world and Boateng is excellent at opening up the play from deep, as is Ramos and before them Puyol. With them I see how much I can still learn.

DONT MISS ==> Why Wenger Omitted Iwobi From His Official List For UEFA Champions League
DFB.de: Now, onto the DFB Cup. This competition must have quite the special significance for you?

Uduokhair: The game against Würzburg Kickers was my first in the starting eleven, which brought a lot of emotions together. The anticipation before the game, the game itself, the shootout, scoring my own kick and the team winning – I have nothing but positive memories of the DFB Cup.

AFCON 2019 Qualifiers Claims Super Eagles Proposed Friendly Games In Asia

The Super Eagles of Nigeria planned Friendly games in Asia against probably South Korea and China has been called off according to a representative of the match agent of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) .

A representative of Eurodata, the match agents in charge of the Super Eagles friendly games said plans were already at an advance stage to play two games in Asia with China and South Korea the most likely option.

However the plans have now been cancelled as the FIFA free day for the month of March will be when the Super Eagles will take on Seychelles in the race to be at AFCON 2019.

” The games in Asia are as good as off unless CAF postpones the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers, because FIFA rules says you can play games during the international break as long as the distance is not more than 5 hours”, the representative told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Nigeria are away to Seychelles in the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers , hence the planned friendly games in March won’t hold anymore. Already talks have taken place with China and South Korea but the games are now off”.

A representative of Eurodata, the match agents in charge of the Super Eagles friendly games said plans were already at an advance stage to play two games in Asia with China and South Korea the most likely option.

ROHR WARNS NFF AGAINST BONUS ROW AT RUSSIA WORLD CUP 2018 – It’ll Be Good If We…

A call for Nigeria to avoid any distraction which could potentially rise from a row over bonuses at the World Cup next year in Russia has been made by coach of the team Gernot Rohr.

The Franco-German coach of the senior national team of Nigeria urged the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) to do their best possible to ensure against controversies over bonuses at next year World Cup.
Rohr said although it’s peculiar for African team to have such issues, it would be nice if the NFF nip it in the bud, as it will help the team in their quest to do well during the World Cup.
”The first goal now is to have a united voice not only around the team but also around us. When I say a united team, I mean everybody around the federation (NFF) should be moving in the same direction“, Rohr said.
”If you want to do something and get good results, you must prepare well for that. We want the same solidarity as we have in the team because the team and the staff are in solidarity and we wish to have the same around because this is the first major outing we are going to make.
“It will be good if we don’t have money problems about the bonuses and the usual African problems as we have severally seen in each World Cup. I think we don’t really need those distractions, we should rather have a conducive environment to prepare for the matches.
”On our part as the technical crew, we have resolved to give our best. But we want to meet with the president before starting the championship in Russia next year “, he concluded.

Nigeria defender Elderson Echejile will be out for at least four weeks after he suffered a muscle injury during the country’s home win over Zambia at the weekend and as such he will miss next month’s World Cup qualifier in Algeria.

Turkey-based Elderson was forced out of the Zambia game in Uyo after 79 minutes because of the injury and was replaced by Ola Aina.

“Already we know that Elderson Echiejile is ruled out of the game because he is out for about four weeks due to the injury he sustained,” Rohr told SCORENigeria

It will be a chance to try a new player for the Eagles leftback position as Elderson has played the role all through the country’s qualifying campaign.

Another muscle injury kept him out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
