The picture of this boy is epic!!! On a lighter note, from the choas generated by the selfless outreach of the Nigeria army, a new talent may have been discovered.

As someone who sees the world from pictures and art, I find the skills exuded by the boy in the fore as worthy of exploring. Look at the older kids behind, he beat all of them to it.

Nigerians please can we all kindly build bridges than walls. Nigeria is still a great country even if ethnic entrepreneurs are seeking to take us nautica miles back. Let us all focus on what makes us strong as a people and stop the hatred.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

You see perception is everything. It only highlights that our actions and inaction have unexpected consequences.

My take as an Igbo guy is this; Nk insulted me as an Igbo man who did not subscribe to his style of agitation as well as every other Ethnic group he resented. This in itself was a paradox.

While the Nigeria army are empowered by the constitution to protect the integrity of the territorial areas (water and land) known as Nigeria, a bit of diplomacy would have gone a long way in dealing with the likes of Nnmadi Kanu and aggrieved groups within the territorial areas of Nigeria.
Consequently, the Nigeria army acted, the people of the South - East reacted but this current situation presents an opportunity for fence mending and activating a sense of belonging acrosss board.
Nigeria is and will remain a great nation but it need to take care of its own (all Nigerians).

A lesson must be taken from this.

Great nation my foot.

Same way another person would say to other people to do a research on we igbos; by no making of ours, we are quite entrepreneurial and somehow that innate spirit to survive scares others.

My point is every ethnic affiliation in Nigeria have their strengths and otherwise, but if you fixate on the negatives, we will not get anywhere as a nation.
We are Nigerians and unique. It is either you see the glass as half filled or half empty but it does not change the quantity of water in the glass.

Take religion out of it and you will see the light. We Christians don't have it covered 100% nobody does because we are all fallible.

The sad issue here is we fixate so much on religion and less on the need to serve our country.

The great builders of the United Arab Emirates are all muslims, yet they were able to turn an economy fully dependent on oil to a diversified economy; from real estate to tourism and medical hub of the world.
You see, the inate mentality of Nigerians who concise our issues to religion and ethnicity are the narratives that have kept us moribund.

Yes we live in a country of rumours because of lack of history and information.

I appreciate the fact the government is re-introducing history to the curriculum of early education. We must be optimistic as regards to what the future holds. We must create our own strength and future than wallow on the negatives of the past.

My prayer is that the labour of our heroes passed shall not (never) be in vain.

History is a documentation of the past. The content of history is mostly not agreeable but it is what it is.

I agree with you 100% but Can not be repeated here. Taking religious fanatic out of Muslims then the problem is half solved.
Our case is quite different brother.

Agreed, don't you think that taking out the hate and religious/Jewish madness from IPOB terrorists will go a long way too? I only asked because you are a sympathizer of IPOB

The so called fanatics are the forceful few across board; be it on religious grounds, ethnic and political grounds. The forceful few take advantage of the gaping silience of the docile majority. That is the problem.

We need a country where all leaders; from class prefects to the President must be accountable to the people they are nominated to serve and not to the forceful few.

All hate groups must be curbed. Any region or group are at liberty to pursue regional or ethnic self-determination but in doing so, you must respect others.
Hate/ insults derided the focal message of IPOB from NK.

You always find a way to rear your ugly head, IPOB is not a terrorist organisation.
