HungerBAD:There are several points that you miss here. Firstly I presume you are an adult. Can anyone turn up at your place of work without appointment or prior discussion to inject you with ANY substance whether good or bad? I would like to believe they must get your consent first. If they do it without your consent it is an assault in law In the case of children that means they must get the parents consent if they do not get the parents consent it is an assault in law. What is truly shocking is the lack of awareness of this basic principle of law by the Nigerian Army and this is compounded by the sheer incompetence of failing to do proper outreach and sensitization but just turning up to start injecting people.Over and above the assault issues there is the medicolegal aspects or record keeping of who was vaccinated and by whom as well as the records of the vaccines i.e sources, storage and transportation history. The whole thing was very crude and unprofessional . Finally the Nigerian Army does not have such a remit what they should have done is to provide the money and publicity in collaboration whilst the vaccinations are performed by an appropriate government department or ministry There is no difference between this and Miyetti Allah or MEND turning up at a school to start vaccinating Surely doctors and nurses cannot just turn up with smiling crocodiles and dancing pythons? They don't have the training for that 11 Likes |

Legendaryarcher: And the female doctors sent there were the ones who killed your brother? Do you even care to know that there are igbos among the soldiers? Are they not the same soldiers who killed over 200 in zakazy's saga? Are they not still performing their functions in peace in the north? We should stop all these pity game. 3 Likes |

jumaian: Boy, you are still commenting like an idiot. Do you know how many days it takes the National Immunization Program (NIP) to sensitize members of the public before they start giving people immunization? If people were well sensitized, won't the NMA be aware? Won't the people be adequately carried along? Would all these situations have ever happened? Where is the connection between my first question and your imbecilic response like that of a man intentionally blinded to the truth? 11 Likes |

HungerBAD: Igbos don't hate Buhari but Buhari first hate them. It is not unconstitutional not to vote for Buhari but unconstitutional for Buhari to declare that he won't do anything for them as they didn't vote for him (5%). If Buhari and his Army meant well, why inject school children at a time their fathers and brothers has been killed and declared terrorists. Why inject them without proper enlightenment, why not go to North and start your useless kind gestures?. What will Happen if all the Government hospitals in SE carries this duty of injections?. We don't need your useless injections. 10 Likes |

The pro-Biafra group, however, claimed that the substance being used by the military in their inoculation service was imported from Iran with the aim of subtly annihilating the people of the region who are agitating for Biafra republic. In a statement signed by the leader of the group, Uchenna Madu, MASSOB warned the military to be mindful of their activities in the South East and South-South region. Buhahahahahahahahahahahahaha See comedy. These ipob terrorists no get chill at all. On a serious note, it's very sad and disheartening that the so called great ibo race are debasing and ridiculing themselves down to ridiculous and absurd level. Even Nollywood can not make this up. 3 Likes |

enugu419: In your mind you are educated, but from where I stand, u are so ignorant! I have watched u talk from the point of willful ignorance in this thread! First, Vaccination is a primary level of prevention in public health. On that stage, the health services of the local government and primary health care workers handle vaccination. Am sure u have seen them walking around with their equipments, appropriate forms and chalks marking houses and schools vaccinated. If there is need for any form of vaccination in an epidemic situation those people are first engaged, cos they belong to the community, speak the language of the community and know their way around the community therefore making the process efficient. Now if those health workers and phc level caregivers are overwhelmed in an epidemic, you call in the paramilitary first and military in that order(according to your american standpoint). First of all, there is no epidemic in the southeast... Even if there is, the health services of the local government and phc centers, including health workers of community medicine of the secondary health care and referral hospitals in the states and communities have not even been engaged. Second, you don't engage on such venture without a proper community entry. Community entry is very important in public health! Even the best health programmes in advanced countries fail without a proper community entry. The Army didn't do a community entry and they expect successful outcomes. The response of the people of the southeast is in order... Actually, I would have queried their health consciousness if their response wasn't so, considering the shabby way such a health programme was handled by the military. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Do u know the video of the boys forced to roll and drink mud water was covered by an Igbo man who was later court martialed for covering d I'll treatment of his brothers? Did his presence stop d majority Hausa soldiers from killing his brothers? Or do u think if they have evil intention, the Igbo's in d military will b in d know? The rumor was that the army where vaccinating people with monkey pox and that those that refused were shot.... Now if this kind of false an malicious rumor could have been spread like that......it makes one wonder just how much of such other evil rumors have been going round in the east just because some group want to fulfill their agenda at all cost... Truth is the only way to fight injustice....lies just complicate issues and make things worse.... |
