Joebie: if he wanted to pass that ball the collision would not have happened, you can see he still wanted to continue chasing the ball. His run drew two defenders yes but he should have released the ball earlier, thank God the ball did not hit that defender |

Members of this forum, I hail thee, @Joebie is an epistle that you wrote concerning the 'foreign breed' nice one. @Micheal, football has never been 1+1, either moses got a freekick or he was allowed to beat his marker. He was obstructed but for you to use the term headless chicken means you are being too harsh. When he did the same against Cameroon and exchanged a pass with simon which lead to the 3rd goal, you did not say anything but suddenly come up with such harsh criticisms. You actually made me get interested in Onazi as I started watching his style of play. He might not be the best passer of the ball but he really is a workaholic. You keep clamouring for his removal but then we are all entitled to our opinion and I respect that. However try not to bring down someone's achievements just because they are not doing the "ideal' thing. Constructive criticism helps a lot but hey what do I know 4 Likes |

Mujtahida: what of Keshi? I love Tiki taka, so you should know my perception of pure football. Ok, watch that goal Iheanacho scored against Zambia, is it in anyway related to Ighalo's goal? I could also mention other goals scored by City but you would argue it isn't club football. Anyways for a coach that says he likes one touch two go, but somehow he keeps Iwobi, who is unarguably the best we have in that department on the bench or out on the wide for who? Moses Simon!!! Tor, it does not add up 1 Like |

Lazyerudite: there is one thing I do not even try, bringing up a players past just so I can rubbish it. I have never ever rubished Onazi's achievements for us, ever. However I dwell on the here and now. Onazi is a workhorse no doubt, is he a good player? Definetly better than Agu but there are two issues. Play him as a DMF and he will not just sit and cover the back four, rather he would want to roam thus creating room for opposing players and that could be dangerous. Play him as the CMF and we see that his passing range and ability is not great and in most cases, instead of keeping it simple he would(without looking up) send one wild long pass to the wing. Now if Onazi can get a good coach like Mou who would put it into his head that being a DMF is about protecting your CBs and being a CMF is about recycling posession, no need trying to be too direct all the time then Onazi will be a lot better than the lot we have. 5 Likes |

Nigerdeltaboi:This is precisely what I don't understand. Footballers would play football for ninety minutes and they expect everything to be sleek and prim? Every tackle must be perfect, every dribble on point, every goal bound move leads to a goal, every pass, excellent, every run is well timed. May football never be like that. 2 Likes |

Joebie:No need going on on with this issue cos I see vastly different perspectives that run at parallel lines with no meeting point. What I know is that I prefer headless chicken move than robotic football. Unpredictability, the whooooo, the haaaaa is what makes football heart pumping. Fifteen passes, uninterrupted, lead to that pass but just that bump on the road by VicMo spoilt everything. It just has to be perfect, too perfect or else it ain't good. 2 Likes |

Mickael2:There is no great winger that in the course of their footballing career never for once bumped into another player. If you know the many mistakes, failure, errors, misjudgements, inaccuracies, waste that make up as ingredients for perfection you won't say what you just said. Ask Thomas Edison. I'm sure he can tell you more Trifles make perfection but perfection is no trifle- Michelangelo 3 Likes |

He should have released it earlier but dragging out two defenders gave Shehu a wide range of space to place a perfect pass to Iwobi. I personally would have called for VicMo's head, had we not scored. However, we have seen times without number how his darting runs have unsettled opponents. The "headless chicken" have made the difference for us time and time again.. how I wish we were still chasing qualification. We have gotten so use to our old ways of struggling to qualify, that even when it comes easier we still look for ways to criticize. Of course, that's the easiest thing to do, else we will all be coaches in the NPFL at least. If we truly crave perfection, we should be happy we have taken a step towards it as we have only dropped 2 points so far in the qualifiers. But not the case here. we want to give all the credits to a few players. Same players that have always been with us. Ok tacticians, what would u rather have done with this team? Mickael2: |

I think at this point Rohr needs to just tell you guys whatever, and do what he wants. People will always talk. I'm not going to the WC to watch Nigeria entertain. We want to move past the second round jinx for once. For those of you who want to see everything fall according to your expectation or watch your preferred playing style, good luck! For me, I just want to see us win. So far I'm satisfied. Mickael2: 1 Like |
