kenzindax: That portal is useless, my decision has been made since 3rd of October, it hasn't reflected on that portal. I have missed the training I applied for oya give me my passport, I don't want to do again, they will say we don't have influence over decision making and bla bla. yet you pay them each time you call to speak with an agent. If this is not fraud I wonder what is. Atleast in Naija if you give someone money to fast track a process for you, you get it fast tracked. Here you pay for priority and they will be acting like it's nothing. 1 Like |

So I just completed a UKVI survey. They sent me an email asking for my opinion on the visa application process. I gave them a piece of my mind and gave consent to a waiver of anonymity! Yes, I put my name and contact details, they should come and beat me!! Lol. Silly time wasters!! 1 Like |

Deelaw13: It's hard to give an opinion based on the info you have given here. Secondly, based on what you have said here, you've been through the process at least 3 times and it has worked in your favor every time. What ever you did those time is the right thing. Please do likewise with this renewal. All the best! 3 Likes |

Deelaw13: Is this for real? The cost of 10 year visit visa is $1023 or N368K is more than half the balance in your account! What documents did you submit for the previous 5 years visa? |

damola1: It appears your brother relied solely on the company's sponsorship without fully demonstrating his own personal circumstances. These people expect an applicant to have a level of despite the sponsorship. You may wish to reapply asap and give more information about his personal circumstances i.e. finance/economic ties (his own bank statement(s), payslips etc) and social ties (marriage, property etc). A letter of introduction is also not out of place even if he's a Director. The letter should state the purpose of the visit as well as how much the company is willing to expend for the purpose. This should tally with the information supplied in the application on sponsorship and stuff. It also seems he either did not submit an itinerary or the one submitted isn't explanatory or convincing. Apparently, a 10day visit for just a meeting seems farfetched to them, you know the way they reason sometimes, I don't want to call them silly, but yeah, they expect you to just attend your meeting and fly out 2 hours later. Smh! |

Good day everyone in the house I have been reading comment on the platform and gaining experience despite I am not ready to visit the UK. But I plan to visit the UK this February and my cousin’s wife is going to send me the invitation, because my brother do not have British passport but has work permit in the UK for 4 years now. I registered a car and spare parts business Nig.Ent 2 years ago and I have been running the account ever since I registered it. I currently have 5 million naira in my business account. Also, I have been paying myself 220 thousand naira for two months now and I want to continue doing that for the next 4 months before I apply. I am doing this because I want to apply with my saving account and I don’t want to get my business involved, I feel like involving my business will make me spend more like tax clearance ad require other document I cannot provide, I have not paid for tax since I registered the firm, I registered this firm solely because it will be easy for me to apply for business or visit visa, the firms it’s not functional. Please my main concern right now is that, in the past three years I have spent just one year and six months in Nigeria, I spend 9 months in south Africa and I am currently in Kenya, I will be in Nigeria this December and I intent to stay back in Nigeria till I have six months’ salary in my savings before I apply. Please I need expert advice from the Gurus in the house to please advise me on the best step to take to enable my visa be granted. Thanks a million as I await your advice. God bless you guys for your help. |

I'm planning to move to the UK via Tier 2 and I have a target date of Jan/Feb 2018. To raise the required funds for my plans I'm currently taking part in a monthly contribution, a.k.a AJO which I'm due to collect a lump sum at the end of December. My issue now is with the £945 visa savings requirement, which must have been in your account for 90 days. I should have more than the required amount by the end of the year but I'm aware any lump sum in my account will be an issue. I'm thinking of getting a bank loan through my salary account and paying little amounts from the loan over the next 90 days, into the account I intend to present, and using the AJO to clear the loan before I leave. My main question is "will they also ask for my salary account during my visa processing cos I wouldn't want them to find out I took a bank loan to fund my trip. |

sutelk: Do you have A rated sponsor and have been given certificate of sponsorship by them? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by sutelk: 2:24pm On Oct 14, 2017 |
justwise:No, nothing yet. Still planning stage. I've secured my practising licence, made some contacts with some prospective employers, chances of getting a job a very high. I'm also aware some COS may cover maintainance and thus I may not require the visa savings but I just want to be ready in case my COS doesn't cover maintainance. |

shanga: That section in bold will be a problem, it's important that you support any money in your account with a source of that money. Another thing is this issue of paying yourself a salary, it makes no sense in one-man business because all the profits are yours and you can not honestly pay yourself a fair salary |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 3:16pm On Oct 14, 2017 |
shanga: Present a verifiable source of that money in your business account and present the money in your savings account as profit and not self paid salary |

justwise: @Justwise. Thank you for the quick response, I really appreciate I thought it is a must I pay myself salary as a company owner, but I now understand I don’t need to do that as a sole owner of the business Please I have some few questions. Can I apply for visiting visa with my business account and support it with my savings account? And if yes, will I need document like letter of introduction and other document involving my business? Please advise on document I will need in my case or refer to the page you guys have discuss about this issues, so I will not bother you guys much. Thanks |

buddiemm:My dear, I have been there before, if this information are not on your COS, your admn review won't be successful, I was refused based on this reasons too, I reapplied and addressed the issues raised by the Eco, my sponsor stated my job duties on my new COs, stated the aims of the charity and also stated on the COs that I won't be filling a permanent position, my visa was refused again, the eco stating the same reason, I felt like giving the dumb Eco that accessed my application a very hard knock and slap, well I went for an admn review, the refusal was overturned, 1 Like |

Good day everyone.I applied for family visit visa in 2014 as a postgraduate student(PGD)but was denied. I appealed their decision and was successful. I was to spend 3 weeks but ended up staying for 4 months.Fast forward to 2015,I applied again BT was denied..I intend to apply this month also as a postgraduate student. I have abt 1million in my account which has been my savings over the years. My Mum who is a UK citizen is sponsoring my trip. My utmost concern is can I put 50k as my monthly living costs and 80k as my monthly income. Cost to me personally 500pounds for the trip as I have over a million in my account cc justwise |

shanga: Bro this is simply and this thread is full of list documents needed for a case like yours. Money for this trip has to come from your savings account while your business account acts as your tie to Nigeria and the source of money in your savings account. Presenting business account without tax certificate is risky because tax certificate shows how well your business is doing. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 6:23pm On Oct 14, 2017 |
demorichy: Those two refusal points will still be an issue if you reapplied unless you addressed them |

justwise: I'm back in school now, as a full time student. please advise how can i properly address them sir. I do no business for now |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 7:35pm On Oct 14, 2017 |
demorichy: Only you can explain why you overstayed by 3momths plus. You need to defend the source of 80K you will be declaring as your monthly income and 500K budgeted for the trip. If the money is from your mum then submit evidence to back it up. |
