Thank you very much for this. When I comment I don't comment as a biased Nigerian, I comment as a Neutral who has Nigerian interest. Apart from Nairaland you can't go on any forum and boldly hit your chest and state that for the 2017/2018 season Iheanacho has been a success. You would be trolled. We hate the truth as Nigerians, the truth could be painful but it's real. I have no beef whatsoever with Iheanacho - I want him to succeed along with Success and Awoniyi cos I had and still have high hopes on these three. But my hope on them would not blind my eyes from the stark obvious. If Iheeanachi comes on Nairaland and the only thing he takes from the comments is to cry, then sorry to say it, he ain't ready for this profession. Moses has taken kicks and he's an today he's an undisputed starter. He has the talent to soar but if he's not going to change his style of play then the APP is not the only league and he may have to leave for some other well suited league to achieve his goals. That's all.

By the way, football365.com have Kelechi on their top 10 disappointments of the season.
He came in at no 7

Football is serious buisness. People get judged from the first minute. If he doesn't buckle up real fast and get back to the form that saw him join Man city in the first place, he could slip into obscurity in no time. Football can be unforgiving.

you better stop hating.

Kuku goan play Lukaku against Senegal and see how many he will bury

This has nothing to do with hate.He was comparing Lukaku with Iheanacho which is uncalled-for.
Ah ah the gap between the two is wide naaa.

Rohr dropping Iheanacho for Ighalo is hate.

Guardiola not including his name in match-day squad is also hate.

Leave personal preference aside.

I hate no one, I repeat. But if you are not cutting-it you are not.

We are here to discuss football which is a competition and requires comparisons.

Maybe u misunderstood because writing can't express one's emotion.

By Formula 1 Mercedes, do you mean that the team is made up of so much talented players?

Truidstar:

I agree with you 100%. Rohr is what I will liken to Lewis Hamilton who has been given a Formula 1 Mercedes car (Super Eagles), hence the results. When you give a Molue driver (siaone and co.) a Formula 1 car what do you expect?

First of all, you have to appreciate the fact that the last Olympics was of a very low standard, no thanks to club's refusal to release players. I honestly think football should be scrapped from the Olympics if what was witnessed at the last tournament was anything to go by.

Honduras getting to the Semi final was a reflection of how shiit the tournament was really....

In a tournament of top quality, you cannot go straight from the plane to the match venue and escape unpunished.

Now coming to tactics, Siasia was totally exposed when he came up against a decent Colombia and German team. We lost those two games!
Stay with me, against Germany. It was very obvious he had little or no background check on the German team. The balance of play reflected this. The German boys ran rings around us and tore us to pieces. We lost that game the way we did because the team was badly set up. It was one of the most one sided semi final game I have ever witnessed.

To top it all, he even made a caricature of the team selection by taking a dwarf to the tournament. Lol

ok so all the other teams from the Afcon olympic qualifiers were all bad except Germany and Colombia because we lost to both, isn't that a biased judgement? Actually I guess you have not been following North American football but Honduras just qualified for the world cup playoffs ahead of USA with largely the same set of players at the Olympics, some shiity team right?

Now you are trying to run down the quality of the last Olympics, I expected that anyways but you can only defeat what you have infront of you right? And Siasia did that, is he to be blamed for the 'supposed' lack of quality? Bias

how that semifinal against Germany was so one-sided sure beats me when we got atleast 5 very good chances to score, maybe you need to watch the game again no?

Atleast we can agree now that Siasia took us to the Rio Olympics without preparing or Kalika and still came back with a bronze medal, we are making progress grin

Even Bonaventure has been deployed as a wide forward. It depends on how the coach wants to play.

Thank you. Load your Canon, Aim, Fire!
On a more serious note, I say it's still early days to start making such comparisons between Rohr and Siasia and I can see that you have deftly avoided lauding Rohr whether in his 'now famed' man management style or tactical ability but you are focusing on Siasia because the track record is there. Rohr needs a run of time too before we can settle this issue.

I know something about words:you repeat them often and then it sticks and sometimes passes as reality until it is examined. That's what they are doing now: he's not tactical, he's not tactical, he's not tactical and before long that notion becomes fixed. I repeat even with seven wins (five for the WCQ qualifiers, two friendlies) two draws and one defeat over a period of one year is in my estimation still too early to start making comparisons.

I will drop this argument until we play our next game without Mikel and/or Moses then we will start it again. If not for our FIFA ranking, I would start praying for Moses and Mikel to sit out that match against Algeria just so that we will watch the game together

“He didn’t say to me: ‘Do you fancy playing wing-back?’ He just put me in there,” Moses said.

The question is why did Conte do this if he didn't notice Moses qualities and believed Moses could.

That's not the point. Improving it and having the abilities are two different things. He went to work on it further at Chelsea. Now you have defeated yourself. Did he play as wing back at west ham? grin

did Osaze play as a wingback for Stoke City? But he clearly improved his defensive abilities there.

Now I think I confused West Ham with Stoke City for VicMo

he was comparing the chances. The same way some people have been claiming here that Ighalo missed chances that Kelechi would not have missed.

I saw nothing wrong with his statement, but you interpreted it to mean he was comparing them. Same way I he and cup could miss a chance and someone will say so and so would have scored that.

You just went and dragged Senegal's game into it because it was Kelechi he said. If it was someone else, you would have ignored.

You claim football is filled with comparisons in the same light you say Lukaku and Kelechi should not be compared. Make up your mind

We don't see you guys and your constructive criticism when he's banging in goals, but a couple of dry spells and you let loose.

Rohr dropoed Ighalo for Kelechi at a point. Now, it's Kelechi for Ighalo, by January, it could switch again, it's expected.

But then, I don't see why those should be brought in to a basic statement of Kelechi would have scored that if indeed, he could have.

I have never claimed Kelechi is having an awesome season, have I? I asked you guys to cut him some slack, I did not say he's banging in goals.

You will not understand. You were not here when I was criticising Kelechi for not wanting to leave City and England, else, you would not be trying to prove a useless point with me

Tiago Ilori wanted to prove himself in England else he would have gone to Spain or France this season.

However, he was part of the team that just lost out in the play off promotion final. He could have made it this season to the EPL.

What exactly can Ilori add to the squad that Ekong,Balogun, Omeruo,Agbo and Awazeim can't

I dont understand why u keep making a fuse about him.

Ndidi was poo when he first made his debut for the Super Eagles. To make issue worse, he was a bench warmer who never tasted professional football.

Here you are, he is one of our best in Europe and the national team.

Give em another chance against Algeria then let us conclude.

The big why His club performances propelled Ndidi into the limelight out of the obscure league into the most competitive league in the World the EPL.

That's why I say national team call up and club performance should be intrinsically linked ceteris paribus.

These coaches can still learn under Rohr or some other manager. With time, they will learn the finer art of man management; so I'm not ruling them out completely from managing the Super Eagles.

Remember that Oliseh quit the Eagles primarily because he was owed his salary. But as the NFF seem to be a lot more professional in running their affairs, Oliseh/Siasia could be the next gaffers for the national team. Right now, Oliseh is close to being the first African to coach a team in Europe's top seven leagues.

Who tells NFF did not owe Rohr?
