Former president Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to report that he presented a speech in Texas addressing the place of Niger Delta in the agitation for Biafra.

President Jonathan on a statement released by Ikechukwu Eze, The Media Adviser to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan said the article is pure fiction fabricated by faceless writers.

He said the former president have not been to Texas since 2015.

He wrote

“We have just been informed of the text of a speech fabricated in the name of former President Goodluck Jonathan in which he was alleged to have addressed the issue of the place of the Niger Delta in the agitation for Biafra. This is pure fiction which serves no purpose, other than probably massage the ego of the faceless writer.

“The false report which is now spreading in the social media began this way: “Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebere Jonathan yesterday delivered a lecture at Texas, United States…”.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Dr. Jonathan has neither been to Texas since he left office in 2015, nor sent anybody to represent him at any programme in the U.S. state.

“Our advice to those who engage in this kind of untoward behaviour is to repent and apply their creative energy to productive ends, in line with the efforts to build the nation we all will be proud of.

Ikechukwu Eze

Media Adviser to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan”

Hey bro, are we not better off with the Igbos, compared to the status quo?

Asari Dokubo has said that the system of government in Biafra would be a confederation.

Bro, there is no cause for alarm.

Let us, for once, do away with this divide and rule mentality orchestrated by the Hausa/Fulani.

Nigerians aint helping themselves at all. So many characters trying to heat up the polity and generate hatred. All the pro-igbo threads and statements, anti-others statements and threads aint d handiwork of igbos. igbos need nigeria if not more and have showed it for all to see. Izons, efiks, ibibios, anangs, ekois are the closest allies to the igbos and if not for them situations could have been worse. these groups have also benefited from igbo support so i find it difficult to believe all the campaign to cause tension amongst igbos and these ethnic polities of the old eastern region. igbos from my understanding want every ethnic group to determine their fate in the nigerian state. those who make it seem the igbos want them sud ask: wat wud we be adding to biafra? igbos i have noticed dont like crisis because it affects their mobility cos their livelihood depends on peace. those who think oil is the reason for the biafran agitation sud ask themselves the following: who own wells? which ethnic group dominate the oil companies? which region has benefited more from oil wealth? etc. the answers to these questions will unmask the characters who pretend either to be igbo but hating others, or others hating igbos

Bro, @Afriifa is an authentic Izon man, body and soul.

Dude must have had a bad experience with some Igbos, hence his reservations about Biafra.

Please do not give him more reasons to forsake us the more, rather extend a hand of fellowship to him and convince him to embrace his brothers in Biafra.

@Afriifa, please do not take this to heart. We are all brothers; Igbos, Izons, Efiks, Itsekiri, Urhobos, Isokos, Binis, Esans, Afemai, etc.

Please let us embrace ourselves as one people and shun the divide-and-rule strategies used by the Gambaris to keep us in perpetual slavery and servitude.

May God continue to keep, bless, prosper and protect us all against the commo enemy.
