Cairo Orthodox Church confirmed that the priest Semaan Shehata was stabbed to death on Thursday in Cairo. The motives behind the incident remained unknown, but a video by the security cameras in the site of the incident revealed that the criminal was following the priest and stabbed him several times till death. Egyptian security sources said Shehata was a stump in the church of Julius al-Akfasi, Ezbet Girgis, Baysarishia al-Fashn, Beni Suef Governorate, southern Egypt. Meanwhile, Ministry of Interior said the criminal was arrested and a legal action was taken against him.
