I really don't get myself involved in this kind of inanity, but since a well wisher has copied me here, it might be important for me to comment.

It is unfortunate that the gentleman that opened the thread spewed all manner of venom on Offa and declared his Erin Ile as the innocent party.

The facts on ground say otherwise. Erin Ile is the aggressive party. They are usually the one to start the fights. Last time, many indigenes of Offa were assassinated by these folks, including a big hotelier who was an elder brother to my friend.

I don't know much about who owns what land but I know for sure, from all the fights between the two communities I have witnessed in my 35 years on earth, that when it comes to aggression and first attack, no disputing Erin as the party that first goes gaga killing innocent souls.

The e-terror of a post by the OP is another sign of such aggression.

Please there is no need for this tirade. I grew up with some Erin and Offa people. The Adeshina children;the contractor and Demosco, Adeyemo all from Erin are my friends. Likewise Adesoyes, Makanjuolas, Latinwos, Adelekes, Sarafas, Usmans, Olawoyins, Baloguns, Olagunjus, Adekanyes are some good people I know from Offa. Owode market used to be good thing then. When Offa Poly came,we used to come for sight tour.
The funny thing is that there has been lots of inter marriages between those communities for centuries.

The fact is that most people that tagged Erin-Ile community as being violent never know the genesis of this matter they act on the propaganda some bad eggs amongst Offa indigenes circulate around. i understand that u a man of peace but the truth of the matter is your community is the one always looking for trouble. Take a look of what happened recently in respect to the allegation levied against Erin-ile community. This is a simple issue that can be solved without calling the attention of the media (channels Tv). I am very sure that with that allegation aired on channel Tv, a random person will start thinking Erin-ile is through destructive mean while its otherwise.

but, as a peace loving fellow, you should always speak out the truth irrespective of who it against or supports. and don't be so specific about what you don't have knowledge of.

ERIN-ILE has never and will never start wagging war against Offa, but will always defend/protect her people/ property against offa.

I stayed in offa for over 10 years. Only knew one of demosco sons on the erinle side, all my friends were from offa


.my observation is simply that once you raise erinle related talk you raise adrenaline amongst the offa folks.

Seems there is a long history of mistrust,propaganda and negative sentiments between both parties that will take time to heal......... From comments from posters above me, that time is a long time

Amid the war, one particular day, I saw Health Tech students running back from school saying many people were being slay in school(whereas I leaved around the college), I do not even know what to do, I went to restroom many times with my clothes soaked with sweats, I later put on Jalabia with Tesbiy(Rosary) in my hand with the thought that if it's today, I want to meet Allah as A'bidah. Whereas all these was nothing but rumour but, it's an experience I will never and ever forget in my life cause I almost died of High BP. Ogun ree ko da bii iyan kosi da bii bi eko, I know how the feelings are. I almost lost my Mum and sister in that war, my mum was fondly called iya offa by erin-ile driver's cause she boards their vehicles to her place of work in Osun everyday. That's how I left Offa indefinitely on Feb 14 2013. In short, We need to understand and tolerate one other tori b'abani b'ejo se gun to la o se dana sun un, afi aimo k'ama dan sun le o; Both parties involved here(Offa and Erin-Ile) are like HEAD and NECK, they've been destined to be together. Where there is war, development and progression deserts such area, So many life's has been lost and properties destroyed. we do not want war again in Yoruba land(even in the whole World) again. No To E-WAR as well, We were meant for peace. Let peace reign. May Almighty God pacify both parties..
