Meaning, unless The clubs play them, we will continue doubting their quality. What stopped us from accessing them and checking their qualities? Their games with us, if quality is identified can even convince their clubs to give them a run.

Interesting, I was pretty sure, he was named 3rd choice at the start of the season.

The last minute loan move by Pantillimon must have moved him to 4th choice.

When did th national team becomes a testing ground... players been called on international duties should be well established players in their various clubsides..

How many are we going to keep testing and how many are we not going to test. .?? I guess every single Nigeria player in different leagues should be called upon and tested undecided undecided

I'm not surprised by Uzoho's progression to the first team.
Deportivo's manager Pepe Mel is a believer in youth. The man has an unbelievable record of giving 17 youth team players their debut when he worked at Betis.
Adrian, the West Ham keeper is one of his products.

Uzoho will definitely get plenty chances to lock down that Gk spot with Mel in charge.

Do you think Oliseh was well established when he was called to the National team? What about Aghahowa?

From the comment from one of the monikers, it took the cryout of fans to give Uzoho a chance. I have repeatedly said sometimes our players suffer bias in clubs. Our best bet is to do it the good old way. Invite a pool of players. A large pool screen them with selected drills and select a smaller pool for close monitoring and build a team of the best players.

We can only make a huge impact with the best than selling our self short and screaming we lack quality.

Good save by Uzoho now.. I hope he continues playing.

He might get the rookie Gk slot for the WC ahead of Alampasu.

do u think we have the resources and all the time in the world to that..

These screening ishs is meant mainly for club sides..
How can a national team invite pools of players undecided when we can select from our established best legs

How does it feel when Nigeria invites like 500 players scattered all over the world only to select like 5-10 at the end of the day... my brother that is IMPOSSIBLE. .

Westerhof invited over a hundred players to camp for the Super Eagles preparation for the World Cup. After his screening, he said he was sure he had the best players to represent Nigeria.

So stop saying National teams can not screen. Even Siasia carried out a screening process with a large pool of players.

Clean sheet for Uzoho on his debut, not the most exciting game but he won't mind.

Looks like Pepe Mel listened to the calls of fans who wanted Uzoho made number 1.

I hope he repays the confidence.

If he keeps playing then our GK situation for the world cup could get interesting

Errm,,,,,,, Oga Goodjoe, Your is well understood but I don't think it's the best way. They are certain things to be considered before planning such like money, time, etc.

Krattoss rightly said, FA don't need to waste a lot. If you think your Club manager is treating you wrongly, seek transfer. You need to prove yourself at Club first.

So we should find excuses to shun the best way. If Westerhof could camp and Siasia could, then I will not buy money as an issue.

Keep in mind Rohr carried out a screening exercise. Let us do things the right way. Seeking transfer is not a guarantee of getting the right club, role or treatment.

That we do not have control of. What we can control is selecting the right players in each role, negligent of bias.

Germany U20 World Cup star Jordan Torunarigha is finding game time hard to come by in the German Bundesliga this season, with the defender watching proceedings from the bench as Hertha Berlin lost 2-0 to Schalke 04 on Saturday.
Although Torunarigha has played mainly as a left-sided central defender in the current campaign, the 20-year-old is thought to be the mysterious left back national team Gernot Rohr has beamed his searchlight on as cover for the much-maligned Elderson Echiejile ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
According to the reliable Scouts In Attendance , a representative from Barcelona was spotted in the stands during the meeting between Hertha Berlin and Schalke 04, which finished 2-0 in favour of the visitors.
Jordan Torunarigha has yet to be promoted by the German Federation to their U21 squad, but he is one of the most important members of the U20 team, captaining the side against the Netherlands during the last international break.
Born in Chemnitz, Torunarigha has caps for Germany at U16, U18, U19 and U20 level.
The 20-year-old operated as a left back in Hertha Berlin's controversial 1-0 loss to östersund in the Europa League on September 28.

Rohr Reacts To Abraham's Decision To Play For England Instead Of Nigeria
Published: October 15, 2017

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is not worried over Tammy Abraham's decision to snub a potential call-up to the Nigerian national team after recently pledging allegiance again to his country of birth, England.
Nigeria Football Federation supremo Amaju Pinnick claimed to have held positive talks with the Chelsea loanee and his camp last month, only for the striker to rubbish reports that a switch to Nigeria was on the cards.
''Rohr is not losing sleep over Tammy Abraham’s decision to play for England instead of Nigeria,'' Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye was quoted as saying by scorenigeria.com.ng.
''Things might change in the future, but the man is not worried over Tammy’s decision and won’t be losing sleep over him.
''The coach is focused on looking for players who are ready to play for Nigeria out of their own volition.
''He said he is looking for players who are ready to give him 200 percent when they play for the national team.''
Abraham netted his third and fourth goals in the Premier League as Swansea City beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 on Saturday.

Nigeria Kingsley Michael Show Class In Debut Game For Bologna, Orji Okonkwo Hit Brace
Nigeria youth international Kingsley Michael made his debut for Italian Serie A side Bologna starring for the U19 in their 5-1 thrashing of their Chievo counterparts in a Primavera 1 game .

Michael was handed a start in the game following the success of his work permit application, and the midfielder known as Kaka Trigger by friends and family proved his worth.
He bagged an assist in the same game where his childhood friend and Nigeria youth international pal Orji Okonkwo fired a brace in front of the President of the Serie A side.
Okonkwo who is already a first team member was by far one of the best players of the U19 last season and scored his first senior goal before the international break.
Kingsley on his part will be hoping to emulate the success of Okonkwo who progressed from the youth team to the first team and made his Serie A bow after just three months at the club.

Torunarigha is getting familiar with the bench in recent weeks. Once the german dream begins to fade, his ex international dad will then change his mind.
