Ovamboland:

Buhari must be a wizard to be able to rally senior officers and even Christian officers to remove another Christian head of state. I can see that Biafra/Ipob are now the defenders of Gowon their nemesis who stopped their Biafra dream and supervised the blockade that led to famine, afterall it will paint Buhari black today

There were only two Christian of North Central extraction in that coup and they were late Joe Garba and late col Anthony Ochefu and sadly both were immediately retired immediately the coup succeeded

Stingman:

To support your views, see comment by one of the northern leaders, about the lies told by the ACF:

“Sincerely speaking, the South-East has not had a fair-share since the civil war. Their marginalization is quite obvious. But if the policy of reconstruction, reintegration and reconciliation of Gen.Gowon and the late Gen. Murtala’s administrations had continued, the agitation by the few Igbo for Biafra state would have been a thing of the past.." Balarebe Musa

I don't know why these elders lie. Buhari who gave almost 90% of apointments to the north is now said to be fair to all...?

President - North
Speakerer - North
Senate president - North
INEC
Police
Army
Airforce
Customs
Immigration
Prision
NSA
DSS
Civil defence
NDLEA
EFCC
NPA
NNPC/Petroluem
UN
OPEC
FCT
Etc
Etc

All the above institutions are managed by the north. How can a human being say Buhari didn't favour the north...Unbelievable...

Are these all the agencies in Nigeria? OPEC is now a Nigerian agency and it's leadership appointed by Buhari?

If there's no project on ground to point to in the north by this administration then they better ask their brother to account for and return all the monies budgeted or borrowed and recorded as spent.

In the name of trying to silence the agitation against marginalisation, they will brand their brother president a thief and still insist that he's d best thing to happen to Nigeria since agege bread.

Nonsense.
They are indirectly campaigning for 2019.
Let us make Buhari look incompetent so that others
will feel that we deserve the presidency come 2019.

We must restructure NOW to 4 states:

North
South
East
West

Enough of the south did this, north didnt do this!

One nation - 4 regions, and let everyone gp and develop themselves.

You have nothing to show, while a lot of your northern youths are been favoured with employments and appointments all over federal parastatals and ministries on no merit grounds.

If you have nothing to show, then we in the south-south didn't feel our own(Jonathan) when he was there not even seeing any to show.

We should stop being political, tribal, and involving religious sentiments in issues of national interest if we want Nigeria to progress. We need to treat all poorly performed and corrupt leaders with same yardstick and one neutral unbaised voice.

If they don't have anything to show for it by just a mere saying, they have CABALS that are all from the North. Have North ever produced a good leader of this Country for once ? They only produce a leader that always took Nigeria 100 steps backward. It's their birth-right, let them enjoy it while it last.

What many people don't know is that was Gowon overthrown by the North for his attempt to be fair to the South East after the war and Buhari was actually the devil that instigated that coup as a young officer and not Joe Garba as twisted history would want us to believe, I know a participant of that coup and he confirmed to me that it was Buhari that started the rally for the coup and succeeded in getting a lot of gullible officers on board

You are lying, lying, lying and that is actually what people might not know
You lack the fear of God
The war ended in 1970; Gowon promised to hand over power to civilians in 1976
Suddenly in 1974, he said the 1976 date was no longer realistic (his exact words)
These are ALL publicly-available information!
Murtala and co removed him in 1975 and promised to hand over power in 1979. This is also public information; not a matter of somebody or angel or whatever whispered it to me
Murtala was killed in 1976 by people suspected to be loyal to Gowon. Obasanjo, his deputy, took over and handed over in 1979 as promised

http://www.worldhistory.biz/sundries/47804-nigeria-murtala-muhammed-obasanjo-and-return-to-civilian-rule-1975-1979.html
The coup that brought the Murtala Muhammed/Olusegun Obasanjo regime to power in 1975 occurred against the background of general disenchantment with the corrupt and inept regime of General Yakubu Gowon. It was clear that Gowon could not check the excesses of his subordinates. The only solace that the public had was the promise Gowon made in 1970 to hand over power to civilians in 1976. But when, in 1974, he reneged on the promise, declaring that 1976 was no longer realistic, large sections of the public that had long suspected the sincerity of the military’s promise to hand over power to civilians felt vindicated. Within the military, there were divisions over this issue of withdrawing from politics. It was against this background that a section of the military that favored withdrawal from politics and led by General Murtala Muhammed overthrew the Gowon’s regime in a bloodless coup d’etat in July 1975.

your Biafra and ipob, will continue to b in this lamentation mode for ever, unless and until you look at the mirror and blame your own LEADERS, for once. Nobody will help u,but yourself. The idea of always castigating other tribes for your nemeses will lead u to nowhere. Question and gainfully engage your own leaders first, before blaming other tribes for your woes. Though it might not be to your expectation, but I believe that,at one time or the other, your leaders had been entrusted with huge amount of monies; how as that improved your general well being? Go your information Murtala was not even part of that coup , he was only invited to take power once there was vacuum when the coup plotters couldn't decide what to do with more senior officers ..I have the inside story of that coup directly from a participant ..I am sure you are just hearing that Buhari was a major actor in the coup
