At current CRS of 385 (LRSW-6.5,8,7,7.5), an 8 in listening would have landed me at 435 cry cry cry, does it make any sense to create a profile now while preparing to rewrite IELTS?

Has anyone in that score range ever gotten provincial nomination? ##JustThinking... What if CIC decides to do Christmas for peeps and am nowhere to be found in the pool.. grin grin

What are the implications of entering the pool with this score?

Good morning my people,

I need clarification on this age thing. Please see an excerpt from the CIC site. It may apply to me as my birthday may most likely fall in between ITA and when I submit my application. I want to know if I will need to recalculate my score if it happens? Or how is it done cos I see a lot of references to CRS scores reducing after ITA? Thank you.

Exemption to section A11.2:
This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.[/i]

Nwannem, I was in this situation some few weeks back as well. What I did was that I gathered all my documents including getting my POF and made sure everything was ready before ITA except for police report, medical and printing [/b]of bank statement (all these were done in 2 dyas) because I knew if i got ITA, I would have barely 1 week left before my birthdy. Though my e-family encouraged me to calm down that CRS scores are locked once ITA has been issued but I refused to take the risk because of all this CIC plenty grammar of 'It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2'.
I wasn't confortable with all the 'MAY MAY MAY'
.

So I advice you do the same if possible. May God help us all.

Ontario was generous few months back... Folks in the range of 380 (I think in IT related occupations) got invited. Your CRS with 8 in listening looks good, why think the long and expensive route of PNP when you have potentials of getting ITA directly?

The only implication I can think of is the one year validity period of your profile which starts counting as soon as you create the profile, that of course is inconsequential as you'd get your desired score and subsequently receive ITA in no time.

I don't think there is any thread for Federal Skilled Trades Class. What is your CRS score? Have you maximized your points? Can you share your profile?

I haven't received any ECA yet. Still on Hold due to Verification from Institution.

Oh ok. Will WES now send you an updated ECA after they receive the verification for the diploma?

The amount required depends on the size of your family but it's from CAD 12,500 (for singles) to as much as CAD 35,000. (For a family of 7.I think)

Please, is the 12,500 CAD for visa fee alone or it includes medicals, PCC, etc?

Hello,

With you being the Principal Applicant, if you can ace the IELTS exam by scoring a minimum of 8 in Listening and 7 in RSW, Federal Skilled Worker is your best bet. Using the CRS tool, and with the assumption that you scored 8777-LRSW in the IELTS test, your CRS score will be 417. You can boost it to 427 by evaluating your spouse's master's degree certificate. You can also get additional points if he can do the IELTS test too.

I wish you the best! smiley

The 12,500 (actually 12,300 CAD) is the minimum required amount of funds you should have to support your upkeep only once you land in Canada Not for anything else, not even for visa fee (550 CAD Application Fee + 490 CAD Right of permanent residence fee). That money is an independent sum of money not meant for anything else but as seed money into Canada's economy grin grin
