Liming and fertilization has been proven to be the best but I will re-emphasize...earthen is a dynamic system cos it has to do with the land soil formation....
If you are not experience in catfish farming.....try starting with plastic or tarpaulin....water may be your greatest challenge but is best you learn first.....

Depending on your location. Different sizes of tarpaulin can be made available based on request.

I got it from EUC Tarpaulins, the guy is based in Onitsha but he can supply anywhere in Nigeria. The price depends on thickness and size. For example: 10ft×6ft×4ft of 650microns thickness costs between 20k and 25k without stands.

The guy does sell stands, 18k for the mentioned size. I cnt really estimate how much mine costed me because I had some rods used for Antenna before, I jst paid a welder for cutting and joining.
The pond can rear between 300 and 500 seeds to table size depending on your water management.

hi Thomas , am happy you want to come back to the business. we need farmers to help in food production at cheaper rate. if we are all farmers it guarantees low cost of feeding for everyone. but my fear for you is the motive. u have to crave for the passion first before looking at the business side. you need to b properly trained to go into this new venture.

I was a little scared about it being poisonous to the fishes so what I did was roast it then take out everything inside then I used a chop knife and chopped it into pieces including the bones to the seize I know the can pick then poured it into the pond,it didn't last 5 seconds and they ate it all
