Icon4s: On Saturday, we saw Mourinho opt for a very negative strategy and Rashford looked worse than average. If a team play that way regularly, we can have a quality player who looks average. That is why it is good to access them closely. So using watching them every day as a yardstick does not add. If not the bravery of Pepe Mel, we can use him not playing as a yardstick to judge his strength. Some play in weak clubs and with a quality team can post stellar performances. Accessing and screening remains the best. I go with us doing it the old way. |

If only there's a way for Obagoal to rep in green white green again. But i'll love to see a striker with aerial prowess; One of the ways to make defenders watch you like cinema, while goalies are unsure of where, when to dive. 1 Like |

forgiveness:Nice,he got his chance against SA to claim the Super Eagles no 9 but failed to do so.Had it been he scored just a goal,he would have displaced Nacho. What the Super Eagles need is a 9 who must score in every game. He needs to start scoring for Girona to make the WC list just as Iheanacho needs to start scoring for Leicester to reclaim his no 9 position. |

Some people seriously think someone of Rohr’s personality will hold an “open” camp prior to the World Cup? That is clearly a pipe dream. At the very least, Rohr will invite 7 other players to the 23 he invited for the last three WC qualifiers, for his FIFA-mandated preliminary 30-player squad list. I wouldn’t expect the coach to name more than 5 new faces to his final 23. The players who I think are in danger of missing the World Cup are Ahmed Musa, Alampasu, and Mikel Agu. Osimhen (or Abraham) could take Musa’s spot. Uzoho, if he stays with Deportivo’s first team, could give Alampasu a run for his money. The need for another midfield controller may see Our favorite - Joel Obi (if he is fit) - replace Mikel Agu. Moreover, I wouldn’t put it past Rohr to name 8 defenders to the World Cup, with Akpoguma deputising for Shehu at RB, Echiejile as back up to Aina, and Uduokhai and Awaziem deputising for the Oyinbo wall. 5 Likes |

Yup. The 3 countries I expect to spring surprise in Russia are: Argentina - something tells me that Jorge Sampaoli will get it right. Plus any team that has Messi is a favorite, unfortunately he needs help: Angel DiMaria would never stay healthy for any tournament. And Sergio Aguero is world class in EPL but never plays well for Argentina. Let's hope that Dybala and Icardi can provide Messi the help he needs to take Argentina over the top. Brazil - I will rank them as favorites along with Germany. Any team with Gabriel Jesus and Neymar would be a handful to an opponent. Nigeria - If we can find a decent goalkeeper, prepare well, and avoid any monetary and other distractions, I will expect Nigeria to make a run thru the semi-finals .... especially if we are to get a decent draw. Other countries you should keep your eye on include: France - Loaded team but can they get it together? Belgium - Can Roberto Martinez's team become ruthless for once? If so, then expect them to be too hot to handle for most teams. Iceland - Definitely one of the dark horse Germany - arguably the overwhelming favorites, but I don't expect them to win it O pari PDPGuy: |

Empiree:Better regain it. these set are diff. And with a coach that properly asesses our opponent(our prob in times past), a def that does know what to do, you should hop on. Only that they cant match that golden era like for like; they can become better than. |

solonnachi: Misinformation ; The problem is actually not on the part of the players we didnt engage with them much, much earlier before these players became well known. It could actually be the other way round we are going to them now that they are HOT particularly where TEGA ABRAHAMS is concerned. 1 Like |
