The sureties do not have anything to be afraid of.
Let them come, tell the court what they know. How that Kanu was willing and ready to appear in court until the Federal Army invaded his house and possibly whisked him away.
So all fingers should be pointed at the FG Army. Then let them come to court and tell Binta where they kept NK.
sKy007:
A judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Binta Nyako has ordered all sureties to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, including the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinaya Abaribe, to appear before the court.

She asked that they explain why the IPOB leader failed to appear in court today.

When Justice Nyako earlier asked Mr. Ejiofor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, for the whereabouts of his client.

He replied that his client was willing and ready to appear before this court.

According to Mr. Ejiofor, since the invasion of his house by the Nigerian Army on the orders of the Federal Government, I don’t know where my client is.

“I cannot tell you if he is dead or alive, “What I am saying is that the soldiers, that went in his house will be in a position to tell you”

Justice Binta replied by asking for the sureties to appear before the court during the next hearing which is November 20, 2017.

Nigeria is a joke, this judge, a very big joker!Buhari is a law breaker. How can u invade the house of someone that still has a case to answer and who was very willing to appear in court this day with the military and then expect to punish his sureties? I didn't expect much from an illiterate.
Re: Judge Orders Sureties To Appear In Court To Explain Kanu's Non-appearance by eagleeye2: 2:25pm On Oct 17, 2017
I believe the Justice Nyako court is following the correct procedure. She cannot just jump to asking the Nigerian Army of the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu. Rather the Sureties will tell the court that Kanu was last heard or seen on the day the Army invaded his house.
We are watching and learning. A prescedence is being set.

Calm down everybody. This is Nigeria! From the time of the well published invasion of NK's house, the Sureties ceased being in trouble. If you think they are in trouble, you can as well go and dine with your ancestors, the lizard. They will come, Abaribe will likely send a representative (his lawyer), they will point to the Nigerian Army and we know that the Army cannot produce anything in this Nigeria. Case closed.

Did the army stand as surety? They should go and provide NK, and forfeit their bail bond.

I was even thinking the judge would declare him wanted.

So NK will remain missing till nov 20.

Who authorized the military to invade Kanu's house.?

Triple KPOM!!!

BudeYahooCom:
Nice one from Ejiofor, the army invaded and took Kanu like they did to El-zakzaky let them provide him.

Justice Binta if you are being fair ask the soldiers who invaded his house to provide him. That should be your ruling today if you are not a puppet Judge presiding over a kangaroo court.

Nnamdi KANU will surely win 3 more souls to Kuje prisons if he fails to come out and face his trials. The three sureties are likely going to be committed to prison for failure to produce KANU in court.

This one must have scored 10 out of 400 before gaining admission to secondary school.

The sureties will tell the court about the military invasion and the military will be invited to defend themselves.

In the end, the military will be disgraced.

The judge should be asking the military why Nnamdi Kanu is not in court because they invaded his residence. The sureties did not invade kanus residence.

Normal procedure is to invite the sureties before inviting the military to defend themselves against the allegation.

100 million naira and/or jail isn't too much for a Senator. Next time, if he hears SURETY, he pick race.

The Judge is following procedure.

Once the sureties appear before the court, they will tell the judge of the invasion of Kanu's house by the baboons in uniforms.

Once the sureties present evidence of military invasion of Kanu's house, the military will be called to defend itself.

My normal state of confusion around what Nigerian judges rule was exponentialised this afternoon when, to the shock of many, Nigerian Army authority was not held for Nnamdi Kanu's whereabouts.
In order to please the President, the judge has been acting like the president's toady by agreeing with everything he says.
Based on the preponderance of witness testimony, the judge had no choice but to ask the Army authority to produce Kanu for invading his home. Now she has done otherwise.
One thing I know is that with such a preponderance of evidence, the court will rule in favour of those sureties in the next ruling whether they like it or not.
I guess the court does not have the hindsight to see the scenario. If Kanu's wherereabouts is not known, the Army authority are the one that should be held not those sureties. This is not time to adjudicate a major decision under the influence of nepotism.
In the next court ruling, those sureties will surely adduce evidence to show their innocence. Then we will know if the Army authority will not be called.
