“First of all I should say I had no problem whatsoever with what Jose Mourinho did. He’s always done it and I expected it before the game.

“Jurgen Klopp said afterwards that Liverpool could never play like that; well maybe his Liverpool could never play like that, but my Liverpool did and we did it plenty of times and got results on the back of it.

“I think the criticism will be saved until the end of the season if results in big away games don’t improve and it costs Manchester United the title.”

- Jamie Carragher

Simply what i have been saying. This arrogant attitude of our fans believing every team big or small is some sort of farmers team that we should be beating home and away is pure delusion. You can't win it all, draw what you can and look on to games you can win. Respect your opponent. Respect your opponent and you will win come end of the season. I am no Mourinho fan but after what we've been through since fergie I'll support anything that will keep us safe at the top and even if don't win the league, i won't bitch about it because we would have made significant progress we've not had since 2013. We once went 30 something years without winning the league, will i be scared we'd even go ten years without winning it twice or thrice in this era, definitely not.

Is it possible for you to stop the use of some of these offensive words? This is one of the point afrodoc was trying to make.

I didn't want to talk about this issue again because I will only be insulted directly or indirectly. We need to be a little bit more positive against teams that are very beatable

Westbrom, Brighton, bournemouth, newcastle, burnley....these are very beatable teams. I was pointing out how we say things you just said about Liverpool. Is that not the arrogance we are still talking about?

"Rojo is not coming to play but he is coming with the team to train today with the group. Tomorrow, individually, but he's coming [back].

"I would say, probably in two weeks, Marcos is ready to play. There is no Bailly - he was injured in the national team."

"Our goal is to qualify. Currently, our sole objective is to qualify within that context.

"I think that one point away against the strongest of the three teams in the group is a positive result, but the match is also possible to be analysed outside that context and to be analysed in the context of a match that we want to try and win."

- Jose Mourinho

"I will not tell you the team. First because the players don’t know yet, and second, with so many injuries.

"I think that should be something that you can view with almost a guarantee of success, because our options are so few that it is easy for you to guess the XI.”

"I think qualification is out of the question so I believe Benfica need to make a point without question.

"The strategy that Rui [Vitoria] will choose, offence or defence, I don't know but I have studied Benfica the best I could. I've been getting to know them to make a thorough analysis of their play. Rui has done many different things in the Champions League."

“It happens to the great European teams, nobody knows what'll happen. Benfica could win 12 points and finish with the same possibilities as everyone else.

"What I was trying to show yesterday was Benfica are much better than CSKA Moscow and Basel. I think the players were convinced in the meeting we had in the morning that results aren’t the real indicator of the value of a team.”

- Jose Mourinho

“Benfica haven’t won the Portuguese league in the last four seasons for no reason. They haven’t got to the last eight or 16 [of the Champions League] for no reason either.

"We’re expecting a tough game. Obviously they haven’t got off to such a good start in the Champions League but when United turn up, it’s going to be a different story."

“I think it’s one of those things as a professional player now that you have to be able to play in different positions and be versatile.

"I’ve found myself playing at full-back, enjoying it and playing well, wherever the manager wants me to play, I go out and give 100 per cent whenever I pull on the United shirt I look to do as well as I can.”

This issue is old, but I just want to chip in that my umbrage with our tactics against top 6 sides since last season wasn't hinged on the idea that victory over top 6 sides determines who will win the league. Rather it's the fear that it damages the psyche of these lads.

When the lads play free-flowing attacking football against decent/average sides only to park the bus against every perceived top sides, I think it destroys the beliefs of the lads that they have no other chance of getting a point in such games unless they park the bus. If care is not taking, they'll naturally revert to parking of buses against every top sides. It's bad for the DNA of the club. Surrendering too quick in a match is an advantage to your opposition. It gives the opposition this unseen belief that they're better and they'll have the morale to box you in a corner and dominate you.

We are probably gonna move to another Topic by 9:45pm Tomorrow Evening! I pray United convincingly WIN - with pure attacking Football though, otherwise the Topic would remain the same.

We'd able to win Benfica tomorrow. They're not on form and even with our injuries, we can pull off a victory.

That's gonna be a huge Relief on the Thread, especially if United win by 4 Goals to Nil.

Lol. It's a huge relief normally and it has nothing to do with the sombre mood of this thread in the past few days.

We need to win the match so that if we get as little as a draw in the return leg at home, we'd have qualified. Also if we win this match, we'd more focused on topping the table and avoiding top teams that would be difficult to eliminate, instead of struggling to qualify for round of 16.

It's normal, when win, we complain sometimes talk more of when we don't win. I expected the outcries and complaints, and I know it's done out of love or genuine concern for the club. That's football for you. I hope the lads do us proud tomorrow and Lukaku especially score coz I feel the pundits have been exceptionally hard on him when it's no fault of his that he struggled on Saturday.

I really don't know what they expected him to do when we spent the entire match defending. If we had attacked and he had such a bad game, then it'd be fair to criticise him.

I trust he's not paying any form of attentions to the Media Gibberish. Perhaps they expect him to be Messi and Ronaldo in 1. When Kane was firing blank at the beginning of the Season, the Hypocrites masquerading as Pundits weren't calling for his Head.

But just because of a Lukaku slim-chance Miss in an ultra-defensive Tactic - we won't hear Words again!

That was the same bullshìt they said about CR7 early on in his Manchester United career but he went ahead to shut them up. I believe in Ukaku; he'll score no matter his misses, no matter the club, all I need from Mourinho to do is to help him with good supporting casts and tactic against big teams. As long as he gets people to supply him with balls, he'll deliver. On Saturday he's feeding off leftovers from the table. No good service at all. E pain me die seeing him being surrounded by those Loserfool minions with no-one to help.

It's like Matic scenario where he dispossessed a Loserfool player but no-one forward to pass to. Horrible!!

Tottenham may surprise the whole World by beating Real Madrid at Home. Though it's a very slim chance for Tottenham to even get a Point at Santiago Bernabeu, but nothing is impossible in the World of Football.

JM is very much unpredictable but I hope he plays 3 - 5 - 2. I hope he plays Martial behind Lukaku in a 2-Man Striking Role.

The only Opportunity Lukaku had against Liverpool was created by Martial. I think there is kinda cool chemistry between them.

The same Lineup except Lindelof replacing Darmian, and perhaps Blind replacing Young but in 3 - 5 - 2 Formation can do the Damage.
