Written exams bro.
It used to be 25 questions in each of your UTME subjects, making 100 questions in total for 90 minutes. It'll likely be the same this year.

In which of the following is the entropy change positive? (A) Reaction between an acid and a base (B) Addition of concentrated acid to water. (C) Dissolution of sodium metal in water
D)Thermal dissociation of ammonium chloride.

So much confused with this question....I think the right answer should be D.Thermal dissociation of ammonium chloride.

But reacting between Acid and Base too wil give a very high exothermic reaction.

Neutralization reactions occur between acid and base to give salt and water.

The acid is a liquid , so is the base, the water produced is also, and the salt is in aqueous form, hence, the answer can't be neutralization

But when it comes to thermal dissociation of ammonium chloride, the salt is in its solid form, the products yielded are HCl and NH3 which are gases.

The change of state is from solid → gases, which indicates increase in entropy.
