Blind was poor tonight. Attack wise he's extremely poor, defensively, hes unstable. It's bad when Young performs more than a natural LB. We really need a solid LB so so badly.

Benfica tried a lot, but they lacked quality players to breach our goalie or defence. I was impressed by Lindeolf and Smalling tonight. Both put in a good defensive shift. Matic performed nicely too.

Mhiki had a stinker as always. Rashford running more than his senses. Martial performed better when he came in.

Overall, I was a bit impress with our play and possession compared to the Loserfool match. 9 points gained. We March on.

Matic was without a shadow of doubt our best player. He anchored that midfield superbly. Safe for one or two time wasting on the ball when quick release of the football would've been better, he's on point today. If we can win the return leg, we'll be sure of qualification and probably top the group.

I think Mhiki need some rest nothing seems to be working for him. He has been very poor for too long, Dablord in his worst days never served us anything close to what mhiki have consistently dished us. Mikhi is one of the major cause of Lukaku's isolation

Nobody is saying it's we against them, but a champions league win away against any opposition is a good result, Benfica are playing with almost everybody behind the ball, a win is an excellent outcome , Barca won Sporting from the same country ,0-1. So what's different. And van gaals United would have seen this as a world Cup win. The most important thing now is to put the points on the board, While managing our injuries and shaping the team for the better.
Defence has been solid, that is a plus point and Matic is proving to be the signing of the season.

If I had wanted, I'd have criticised the team and I still wouldn't be wrong neither would it had made me a "false" fan. It wasn't a good performance by the team especially in the first-half, but I chose to dwell on the positive side, plus it's a better display against a team whose defence was solid. Our midfield was not functioning well no thanks to Mhikitaryan that can't protect Hererra and Matic, or link up with Ukaku, leaving him isolated as always.

overall it wasn't a great performance but it's better than the shît we served at Anfield, saying it won't kill you. You're not more "true" a fan than anyone here.

As I said again I will take ugly tactical football over sexy attacking football as long as we get the THREE points on the log.
Continue to play attacking football and end up with a 3-3 draw and one point while Jose will play ugly football and get three points.

Chelsea vs Roma was really entertaining to watch yesterday. End to end attacking football but alas 3-3 could only earn either side 1 point. Benfica vs Manchester United was far less entertaining but I'm sure mourinho is happier with our 1 goal and 3 pts than Conte is with Chelsea' 3 goals and 1 point.

Matic still our best player in most games we've played. Excellent yesterday.

Need to find aome sort of shape and coordination in attack.
Probably start by dropping Miki who has been woeful for some time now.

Our next 5 games. Jus tlook at the dates. Good thing we won yesterday. We can now focus better on the games against Tottenham and Chelsea since we've almost clinched UCL qualification.

Mourinho will need to do a lot of rotation, even with the little options he has.

Carrick should fill in during the week to ease the stress off Matic and Herrera. Hope he's ready to play.
