Nihilist: Ok no p. I am happy Conte has chosen to take full responsibility. I hope he finds a way to make us solid and get back to winning soon. I done tire to dey watch rubbish |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 12:50am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Ibime: Matic vs Manyoo still had 11 more passes than Fabregas today. Fabregas is a more capable passer of the ball than Matic will ever be. The same Matic under Conte never hit 80 passes once. I'm seeing a difference in tactics for the difference in pass volumes. Nothing to do with ability. I'm sure if look for Fellaini pass volume it will be something similar. Abi no be short back pass to centre back be the majority of the pass? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by VargasVee(m): 12:55am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Today's tactics was shite no doubt. Rudiger should've started with both Cahill and Christensen not being able to mark Dzeko aerially. There was literally no hard tackler in that midfield, Roma had tons of space to do damage. Fabregas is out of steam to track anyone. Bakayoko needs to realize he's no more in Monaco, Chelsea plays a different tactics. At tight positions not to hold on to the ball longer than necessary. Thumbs up to Eden Despite missing Kante and Moses, it was a decent game overall. KTBFFH 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 12:59am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Nihilist: Nope. In difficult matches, Fabregas physically struggles to get on the ball and will be outpassed by Matic easily. Fabregas that can make 120 passes vs Wolves will be struggling to make 30 in difficult matches while Matic will rarely dip under 40. Nihilist: That's what midfielders do to take pressure off, not ping ponging ball back and forth, losing it and putting team under pressure like Yokozuna. 1 Like |

Ibime: But Matic never made the 80 passes under Conte. He also never surpassed Fabregas under Conte so all this one is story for the Gods. When you have the likes of Rashford Lukaku Mata Mkhitrayan generating movement in front of you, it's easier to make passes than when you are playing with 6 defenders...and all of them are behind you. Tactics is the reason for pass volume not ability. If you can show me where Matic made 80 passes in one game under Conte I will concede otherwise...goodnight 1 Like |

Nihilist: He made 86 passes, completed 79. I no check his matches, I just went straight to that match cos I know he was on form that day. Oya bet £100 that he never completed 80 passes under Conte 1 Like |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 1:38am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Ibime: I don't have to put £100 on nothing. If you could find the 80 passes you would have posted it by now. Mind you that same Everton game you're talking about Kante also managed to post 77 passes. This season against Spurs, he only managed 25. I won't look at those numbers and say that Kante forgot how to pass between Everton and Spurs. I look at the tactics against Spurs and see that the low pass volume was part of the game plan. I'm too sure today that of Matic played today his numbers would not be far Bakayokos. That's what happens when we park the bus. Afterall, Matics last game for us - FA Cup final, he only completed 22 passes . |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 1:48am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Nihilist: Stop being disingenuous. Matic played 60 minutes against Arsenal. That means he would have completed 33 passes in a full match, and that's the worst you could find. Meanwhile Baka can complete 10 passes vs Spurs, isn't that disgraceful? Nihilist: Now to the matter at hand. If you are sure I can't find where Matic completed 80 passes under Conte, put £100 where your mouth is. I know you as a man of valour, never afraid to back his statements with cash even if it hurts. 3 Likes |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 1:54am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Ibime: See excuse. As if 1 hour is not more than enough time to make more than 22 passes. Even if you project to the 33 passes, that's still the same number of passes that the Fabregas you said cannot control game, made today. Mind you I can also give excuse that Yoko is injured. I brought out 2 clear examples Kante went from 77 passes in a game we won 5-0 to 25 in a game where we parked the bus. Matic went from 79 passes in a game we won 5-0 to 22 passes in a game where we parked the bus. So why are you complaining about Bakayoko making 20 passes in a game where we parked the bus? |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 2:08am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Ibime: The bet is not relevant to me. If you have to do research to find where Matic completed 80 passes under Conte, then you've already made my point for me - such an event must have been a rare occasion at best. So telling me the number of passes Matic is now making at Manyoo is completely irrelevant, if you have to demand £100 pounds and dig through the archives to find a similar performance at Chelsea. Instead I can see Matic making 22 passes in a cup final. So why are you shouting Bakayoko and Aaliyah up and down? Does he look like Rkelly or DMX? |

afrodoc2: Leave am. Me wet don sabi him style Chelsea Manyoo at Old Trafford last season Matic 21 passes. So wetin come dey lead to all the noise about Bakayoko and 20 passes? Surprise surprise Conte parks a train and the midfielders can't see ball to pass |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 2:19am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Nihilist: My friend stop equating the nonsense Bakayoko serves with fake FA Cup final stats. Bakayoko at his worst - 90 minutes match, 10 passes Matic at his worst - 60 minutes match, 22 passes. That is 3 times better. No matter how much Lizard do press up, he can never get alligator chest. Bakayoko is shyte! Instead of accepting jejely like Chelseafan, you dey form stronghead. Now, I found several matches where Matic made 70+ passes, and trust me I did not search long to find one with 80 passes. Chelsea vs West Brom, Matic made 92 passes at 87% accuracy = 80 passes. And Matic is a man that can make 100 passes in the past when not playing with Kante who prefers to rush forward than exchange too many passes. Meanwhile if Bakayoko completes 60 passes on his best day, I go kill goat. 11 Likes 1 Share

Ibime: Chelsea Manyoo Matic 22 passes Chelsea Arsenal Matic 22 passes I fit even call Chelsea City Matic 21 passes ( though he only played 1 half) So why all the noise about Bakayoko and 20 passes? Mind you yoko has mostly played in games where we packed the bus this season and without a full complement of players. Let season end before you complain. You are already on hook for canvass, you wan kill GOAT join. By May ending, Bakayoko fit don even cost you your car keys join.. 2 Likes |

Nihilist: Why you no bring matches that Matic only played 5 mins kuku join am. Vs Manure, Matic played only 65 minutes. The 90 minute average on all these matches above is 3 times better than Bakayoko who once made 10 passes in 90 minutes. Pikin wey score 10% for exam, and the one wey score 30%, their beating dey different. 4 Likes |

Ibime: You mean you need more than 1 hour to make 20 passes? Na wa o. See excuse. The only thing I know is that Matic was playing nonsense in all those games which is why he got subbed. 20 passes in 1 hour is poor anyhow you want to cook it Now it's no longer Bakayoko made 20 passes - it's Bakayoko made 10 passes That same Game yoko was MoTM with his 10 passes. Try another style bro. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 3:02am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Nihilist: You don't get it do you. Bakayoko has been playing for Chelsea 8 weeks and has the 3 worst passing records. Even if you went to dig Matic whole season last year and brought 1 or 2 matches where he only played 60 mins sef, Bakayoko still has the bottom 3 in just 8 weeks: vs Spurs - 10 passes vs City - 17 passes vs Roma - 20 passes By the time we reach 52 weeks, this guy will have like the 20 bottom results. He is persistent and consistent in incompetence. Bakayokos passing is ãss-crack. . . .and that's the bòttom line! 10 Likes |

I think everyone knew before the season started that Conte needed to setup a plan B. Guess he felt it wasn't necessary. This is going to be his toughest season yet. A very tough one.. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 5:42am On Oct 19, 2017 |
Ibime: I see a trend actually in both players, with the low volume pass games coming in those tough fixtures where Conte parked the bus. I'm struggling to understand your punch line. I see the relationship between Asscrack and bottomline- but can a player be asscrack? Plus the use of bottomline to describe a player's passing rather than an argument is strange to me - for instance 'bottom line' and 'crux of the matter' are interchangeable phrases that generally mean the same thing - an idea central to a statement or argument. If you said 'bakayoko's passing is crap - that's the bottom line', I get It immediately. Instead this reads to me like 'Bakayokos passing is the bottomline' which is a bit...weird |

We seem to have forgotten the act of defending in Kante's absence. Our defence looks vulnerable and the midfield lethargic. Playing Luiz in midfield was what I expected from the Don vs Palace, although we leaked in 3 last night, we saw the player Luiz can be in the DM - pretty much better than Bakayoko. And he had a good ranger's goal too. Meanwhile, Eden seems to fair fine when positioned behind the striker than when he's playing from the flanks. Against ATM, he was unstoppable and just last night he gave us a MOTM performance, scoring two goals from open-play - his first UCL goals since March 11th 2015. Man loves to get involved in the whole action and that is exactly what that No8 role offers him. Let's stick to this 3-5-2, as we look more composed and balanced in it. |

Ibime:To be fair, I don't think anybody believe bakayoko was better than matic right now. Matic is the more experienced player at the highest level. Bakayooko is supposed to be the far younger prospect( he is 23) for the future with the potential to not only to eclipse matic but possibly rival yaya toure. I can't see that potential, and that is my problem with him. 3 Likes |
