NairaSand: I know but for someone with a professional job in Nigeria and relocating abroad, please don toy with the ideal of making your move secret to your Nigeria last employer. For usa job, background checks may reach out to them and their response will determine your faith of getting the job. 16 Likes |

jt2010: I saw your quote up there on my post, well that's my opinion by the way! I am personally relocating to Riyadh(Saudi Arabia) for a job offer I got, and its only my former employer (through correspondence) and my family that are aware of this.So don't quote me out of context! 1 Like |

Pidgin2: I have been observing you for some months now, you have NEVER said any encouraging words for anyone who wishes to travel outside this country. If you so wish to stay here, do without discouraging others not to travel. Beside change that your position of hatred (seems more like bitterness) 45 Likes |

Congrats, man. There's no success without trying. I'm glad you didn't listen to advise of the people who tried to dissuade you from pursuing your dream. Go out there and succeed. Good luck in your endeavours ! 1 Like |

Pidgin2: Can u make such an amount here in naija in a year or u don't know wat u r talking about, besides their money still has value, not like here that the economy system has crashed. |
Re: The Adventures Of A New UK Migrant by Nobody: 3:01pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
femmoy: U know nothing so no point arguing. Such amount per year is poverty UK standard and cost of living applied 6 Likes 1 Share |
Re: The Adventures Of A New UK Migrant by Lexusgs430: 9:46pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
femmoy: Let's logically look at your point, a slight breakdown..... Rent or Mortgage - £500 - £900 per month Transport - £300 per month Feeding - £250 per month Mobile Phone - £30 per month Electricity, Gas & Water - £200 per month So you see, £11,500 per annum is living on the breadline aka povertyline aka foodbanks........ 7 Likes |

Lexusgs430: Your calculation is base on false assumption and not a realistic situation, If your yearly salary is £11,500 then you can't get a mortgage, you can't spend £300 a month in transport alone and you can't spend £250 on feeding alone. 42 Likes 1 Share |
Re: The Adventures Of A New UK Migrant by Lexusgs430: 9:58pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
justwise: I am going on the assumption that they already had a property before hitting a change of circumstances... How much would you place on transport and feeding? Are you considering the fact, of the total cost to feed a family of 5 ? 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: The Adventures Of A New UK Migrant by justwise(m): 10:11pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
Lexusgs430: This was why i said that your assumption is a false one, not everybody earning that amount has 5kids to feed or have a house already. Average cost of bus pass in the UK is about 60-70 in most cities (London excluded), if you are earning £11,500 a year and spends £250 monthly on food alone then you will have serious problem saving a penny. People earning £11,500 a year are working part time and if you have kids and working part time then the govt will still pay your rent and you will be getting child tax credit for each child under the age of 16 27 Likes |

justwise: Are you forgetting the cost of British rail tickets? Not everyone uses an oyster card........ |
Re: The Adventures Of A New UK Migrant by Lexusgs430: 10:26pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
justwise: My cost of feeding encompasses all aspects.... Kids school meals, meals at work, takeaways, socialising etc etc etc The government does not pay all your rent, they might contribute towards........ Remember the changes Conservatives made to social benefits, stated you must not be earning more money unemployed, than someone in a full-time time job... 4 Likes 1 Share |
