Looool.....long time since I visited this thread. Our Kenyan bros have done more than enough justice to it and there's more than enough to be humbled by. Nigerians are unfortunately loud and brash and seem to be oblivious to outside perceptions of the hell-hole this country really is. As it stands, Kenya is a more developed country than Nigeria. Does better on most UN development indices (health, education, housing, security etc). Has more ambitious infrastructural projects. Has more equitable wealth distribution. Is a far more attractive destination for foreigners (both settlers and tourists). Has a far better international perception. They have overtaken us (long ago) and there is much we can learn.

Accept that as a fact, and you'll be better for it.

I think everyone unbiased will agree South Africa is one of the leading nations on the continent definitely presently ahead of Nigeria. I say presently because Nigerians are well aware of that fact and say what you will about the country but with the groundbreaking reformations been carried out across the country, Nigeria is a worthy contender. I actually googled the relationship between Nigeria and South Africa because I was intrigued almost every social media platform where there is even a hint of comparison between countries, the face-off is almost always b/t the two nations. It's like a case of bad blood between the two. The history between this two countries is interesting.

Also most Africans dont understand the Apartheid govt kept education away from indegenous SAns for some ulterior motives (maybe jln115 should tell us why his forefathers did so). Therefore by the end of aprtheid illiteracy was very high among black folk. Its therefore nothing short of commendable that the black govt has managed to raise literacy levels to among the best in Africa now in little over a decade.

And you will see that the differences between both countries are not much.

You are too slow to get my point. I repeat south africa is not Johannesburg, Cape Town and all those cities you mentioned. The world's attention was drawn to them and not the majority of the country , and you are too dumb to even know that major parts of those cities did not enjoy the basic amenities the enjoy today . You see pictures of long buildings built during apartheid and you conclude the rest of the country looked like that .
