Is Afriprud planning an interim dividend? Unlike them, they would have rushed to release a good result if Q3 is in line with Q2 #Just a random musing |

DonDiego: I believe you meant Wale Tinubu will walk. Don't put your money on it. SEC has already reached a conclusion of their own with damning evidences against the management. They are only enlisting the help of a professional audit firm to confirm if so or not. There will be casualties. "SEC explained that it had carried out a comprehensive review of the petitions from Mangal and Ansbury and found a breach of the provisions of the Investments & Securities Act (ISA) 2007; breach of the SEC Code of Corporate Governance for Public Companies; suspected insider dealing; suspected related party transactions not conducted at arm’s length; and discrepancies in the shareholding structure of Oando Plc, among others. SEC said these findings were weighty and needed further investigation." 3 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Coolcash1: 12:55pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
DonDiego: I am not sure if SEC has the power but the first thing they should have done was to suspend Wale as the CEO to allow for un-baised investigation. Nevertheless, it is going to be an interesting season film... If the report turns out unfavourable, of course casualties would be more. From oando board, to management, auditors, company secretary and ultimately shareholders. It would be a big disgrace to EY (a member of the big 4) for conniving with management to deceive and defraud shareholders all this while without blowing the whistle. Of course, i will expect ICAN, FRC and SEC to wield the big stick on the firm by blackmailing the partner handling the audit and firm as a whole to serve as deterrent to other firms. Indeed, it will be the biggest corporate fraud casualty in recent times on the financial system landscape. Lastly, let me say, nobody should bring politics into this matter because this housekeeping is long overdue. |

Please do not drag EY into this oooooo. It is PWC that has been auditing rubbish all these years before EY entered into the GAME Coolcash1: 1 Like |
