I just left my old area and ran into one of my old friends from way back when i was a teenager. She was beautiful then, she is still beautiful now, but she is unmarried. I personally know at least 12 ladies like her...in their thirties, and still single. And these girls are really beautiful with great characters. It kinda made me wonder whether there are more women than men in Nigeria.

A population census would have been handy to know if there are more females than males... but base on my own observations there are more males in Nigeria.

@ OP, I blame poverty. Majority of guys are running from marriage because of their pocket. If guys are not ready to marry then we should know there is problem for our ladies.

It's not about being "beautiful and having a great character". Maybe she's been attracted to the wrong set of guys all this while or she's very introverted, shy, quiet. Or maybe she's this holier than thou kind of people, that can't do certain things cos they feel it's a sin. Maybe she probably doesn't wanna get married.

I was opportuned to see the statistical database of two well pronounced universities and they both had 65+% male than the female counterpart... (u might say maybe male go to school more).

How about on social media using nairaland as a case srudy ... there are more male registered members than females (infact some female monickers are mostly males).

or maybe also she stays indoors with her parents all day..if u are indoors 24/7 how man wan take see u? some families sef dem go put one or two huge hefty alsatian dogs for gate and their Dauthers of marriagable age go dey inside compound.wich man go one enter such compound after seeing such dogs.sometimes its better if u a lady of marriagable age to stay alone so u can be able to socialise and meet ur hearthrob in the process.
