One Yoruba ignorant imp said ''by birthright, SW is the leader of the South''. Azikiwe, Ekwueme and co will see this and laugh. History must be scarce in Nigeria. 3 Likes |

did ambode go to school.. What a mumu.. this is how they buy product from the west... who do you think, you should do business with.. what is your business with so call biafra... they are your business rival.. you dont need your business rival as a businessman. the hausa fulani looked at the satellite picture and decided to cut off the Northern Minority because they discovered that, they are more populated.. while the Northern Minority occupy 60% of the land. It is all about business... for the hausa/fulani.. it cost money to build road.. they saw why they are poor. With people of enugu come and use your seaport in Lagos or airport.. no

winterfell007: I come from MB (NC) but i have been calling for a political cohesion between all the regions in the South. This kind of mutual understanding is achieveable and will greatly help in shaping politics at the national level. When the SW, SS and SE finally unite, they can then court MB (NC) and will surely win some key states in that region. This will prove to be a game changer in Nigeria politics. We have had enough of political arrogance from some group of people. As for the stupid fat indomie kids on NL, simply ignore them. 1 Like |

winterfell007: Boss, 'months' might be right after all, why didn't Tinubu call for the southern meeting when he was aligning to form APC ? Why must it be now when his company is under investigation and been relegated to the background in the party he founded? Boss, this meeting is suspicious. I perceive an Ulterior motive here seeing that Southwest governors were Absent in the jhux concluded APC meeting. All the same. The governors should follow their hearts. 1 Like |

They can met but nothing positive, for the ordinary folks in the respective southern states, will come out of it. This is just another jamboree for the governors to meet their counterparts and to exchange pleasantries and show off, that's it. Yes, I am cynical because of the history of the region - a history full of hatred and betrayal, subjugation, ethnicism, and economic oppression and repression. The Igbos are the most prosperous in Nigeria. The Igbos are aggressive, fearless, and dominant (the only tribe you can see in all nook and cranny of Nigeria). They are industrious and highly successful. Other ethnic groups in Nigeria view the success of the Igbos as a threat to them. This is the root cause of the hatred that the Igbos in Nigeria face. Because of this hidden jealousy, the Yorubas will always form alliances with the Muhamedians from the North to keep-down the Igbos, in general the southeastern (SE and SS) part of the country. INSTEAD OF COMPETING AGAINST OTHER REGIONS FOR FIRST PLACE, THE SW YORUBAS WOULD RATHER LIASIE WITH THE NORTH FOR AUTOMATIC SECOND PLACE. The awareness of this reality is the root cause of the distrust that the SE and SS people have for the SW Yorubas. Consequently, the Igbos and even the minorities in the SS regions just don't think that the Yorubas can co-champion any common cause with them, especially one that might benefit any of those two regions (SE and SS). Ask yourself: why is today's clamor for southern region cooperation louder? IT IS BECAUSE THE YORUBAS THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD CONTROL MANY ASPECTS OF BUHARI'S GOVERNMENT. THEY FULANIS HAVE NOT ALLOWED THAT, TO THEIR SURPRISE. Seriously, if Tinubu and Co. were trooping in and out of Aso Rock today, picking the ministers and determining which roads are tarred or which projects are executed in the country, of which 90 percent would be in Lagos, all we would here is kumbaya. No yoruba person would talk of cooperating with the Igbos and people from the SS for anything. Afterall, it's always been convenient to benefit from Nigeria by hiding behind Northerners and accepting a second-place position by default. So, let the governors meet in Lagos for their own personal interests. At the end of the day, nothing tangible will be seen, as the intentions of the forum is for its mere symbolism, rather than true integration of the former southeastern region (SE/SS) with the southwest. |

Thankfully 99% of people making comments here including me don't have any say in what course and resolutions the south decides to take. Many are blinded by hatred, pettiness that they'd refuse to see what can be gained but what the other would loose. As for me I'm not that far gone and I say a big YES to southern unity. 3 Likes |
