Don't pity all these pharmaceutical companies who don't know that pharmaceutical company is is a business and not drug prescription. Go and check the successful one are run by none pharmacist, more of them will come down because of poor business decision. Idumota boys are teaching them how to do the business. Note that there is no longer any difference between them and idumota boys in open market, they all do buy and sell, you call yourself a pharmaceutical company. You can not boast of any product you developed and you are projecting using gsk in the us. American business model can not work in Nigeria |

nwaire:I think the major challenges pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria face is that they supply drugs to hospitals and pharmacies on credit. Some of these hospitals and pharmacies delay payment after selling the drugs on there shelf or even run away with the payment. Hence, it affects the cash flow of the pharmaceutical companies to sustain their business in Nigeria. And if they refuse to supply on credit, there will be no patronage from pharmacies. |

Whoever work in Evan medical Agbara beside Unilever in Ogun state will no that the company was mismanage. Their problem started since 2012. Owing salaries between five to seven months and EFCC refused to arrest their directors. Nobody should blame any government, directors and shareholders are the root cause of the problem of this great company. I rest my case. |

nwaire:Stop typing what you know nothing about! If Evans fail today as a company, it is due to the long years they operated without pharmacists. Most of the successful pharmaceutical companies are those run mainly by pharmacists e. g Emzor, m and b, drugfield etc. As for the idumota guys you talked about, they are the ones filling our markets with fake and substandard drugs, and watch out as they are kicked out of their fake drugs business come 2018. I wonder what you stand to gain by posting the fallacy above. I suspect you are one of the insecure Nigerian medical doctors who think that the pharmacists are the reason for their failure. Stop being insecured and work hard so you can solve the myriads of problems facing the medical world. Stop hating! |

edoman2016:That's not the case. Medical representatives have have strategies for debt recovery. I have worked as one. Most pharmacies and hospitals pay up debts as and when due. Reps have drastic measures they use to recover debts from defaulting ones. The problem is always with the management! Some managers spend their company's monies recklessly. Poor management of resources is the reason many companies fail and this is not peculiar to pharmaceutical companies. |
Re: Skye Bank, First Bank Take Over Evans Medical Assets by edoman2016: 2:31pm On Oct 22, 2017 |
Jman06: How can medical representative recover debt from their defaulters? Cause I believe it is very difficult to force a debtor to pay up if he/she refuses to pay. That's even if the debtors has not relocate his/her pharmacy without notifying you. Maybe you can explain the strategies medical representative uses to collect payment on the due dates from their debtor. |

People are becoming more dubious and self centered. When thieves and crooks hold top positions at the management of an establishment. Imagine when the company was formed. Evans products can be found in every home. This is simply Jimoh Ibrahim style. Same thing that led Etisalat to where it is today. They will collect huge loan from a group of Banks in the name of expanding an already thriving business. The chairman and some directors will then divert funds. Unfortunately, the economy dwindled to the point that sales drop in all industries. You 'll see them change management plan to blocking leakages (meanwhile, they are they holes in the business) by franchising units, laying off staff. I pity those that have their hope in the company. Processes are to be adhered to strictly. Everluations should be properly done. Procurement units should be properly checked. Time to look into the books of company managements. Thieves. |
