I stopped paying tithe and started helping people around me, Never been happier.
Whatever you do to the least of my brothers...
No need to give it to someone who's already self sufficient.
Look at that your neighbor's daughter that wears tattered clothes everyday, buy her some clothes.
That girl down the street that sells okpa every morning, pay her school fees.
If the world can have more people like you, it will become a better place.
Pastors gotta eat and you're the prey.

You worked to earn your income. How you spend it is your business.. If you believe in sowing, tithing, etc please continue, but if you don't believe in these principles, by all means spend your money however you wish.. Enough of this arguments of whether tithing is right or wrong? Because if i ask any of the 2 parties (tithers and non-tithers) to dash me money now, none of you would do .... grin grin grin

The moment you stop paying your tithe, your salary would seem insufficient for you...

And for those of u saying its now all about giving! Maybe you stopped reading your Bibles.
Giving is a principle which would work for anyone, even pagans. "Give, it shall be given unto you......"

Peace!
Give to people who really needs the help, not to yahoo pastors with private jets...

Re: Have You Ever Been Blessed Through Tithing And Giving In Church? by Sparkzl: 9:11am On Oct 22, 2017
Yes lots of time. If you want God to bless you for tithe and offering it must be willingly with a pure heart. Lot of things some people find difficult to get u find it easy. Your salary becomes sufficient and more to spend without your own understanding. You just keep wondering how you had so much to spend by the time you take account at the end of the month

One thing is important attend the right church to pay your tithe. I believe so much in paying tithe. It works for us in our family. Anything we are in need we just turn to God in prayer we remind him of our faithfulness in paying our tithe. believe me God has been faithful. In a miraculous way we never even expect. All the time we are in need Without labour God always provide. If you are faithful God will take care of you.

I noticed that 3 in 5 persons, are against tithing or giving in church and 1 out of this 3 persons that're in favour don't give.

However, tithing and giving is one very important aspect of christianity. I pay my tithes, (not faithfully)give my first fruit, etc and i must say,God has been faithful in his own way towards me financially, health wise and otherwise.

A very good instance, was a day i entered a church and decided to empty all my financial substance to God, I mean my last kobo without the hope of what to eat the next day and miraculously the next day God provided, raw beans and some mighty onions,so that day was fixed up till now. This is just a little of my giving story.

God blessed you not because you or any of us deserved it..stop attributing your tithes to your blessing..

Christianity has turned to nairabet and bet9ja, stake N5000 tithe for example, and hope earnestly to double or triple your stake. if you you get nothing in return, keep staking/tithing and be quiet about the losses, if you get something after countless staking and losses, post your betslip/do a testimony in church. What a joke! undecided undecided

How many times the Israelites pay tithes in a year?

How may time father Abraham pay tithes?

Does Jesus paid tithes?

How many times king Solomon paid tithes?

Have you been called blessed?

How many nations of the world know you for that is what the Bible said about who pay tithes?

Does the bible recommend using money for tithe

Please I need answers now?

In the bible Abraham, Isaac, Adam, etc did not pay tithe, they only give offering. Tithe was a command God gave to the other tribes of Israel to support the children of Levi. The discendants of Levi were poor, God instructed other tribes of Israel to bring one tenth of their proceeds to the temple to be used for the feeding of the Levites.

The issue of the verse in Malachi talking of robbing God in tithe, was the priest of the temples not giving the children of Levi the complete proceeds of tithe.

Offering is what is important to God. Give your offering to him in good heart and he will bless you. You can give your tithe to the poor and less privilege because they are the Levites among us.

Cheers.

The new testament admonished us to do everything to the glory of GOD. We are not subjected to any law either in the old testament but we live by faith.
Tithe, offerings etc are not laws to us. We are not subjected to do so. But we do it in appreciation to GOD who have preserved us and prospered our hardwork per day/week/month/year.
Wen that profit comes in, u r move in gratitude to give a 1/10th to GOD (where? HIS church - d growth of the church) jst as Abraham did to priest melchizedek. Same as offering. Out of the abundant of your heart, u can also extend your benevolence to others. Whether little or big, it must come from your heart, expecting nothing in return. There is also another situation when you are in need, you take the leap of faith and sow all u v to church or others. Trusting wholly in GOD while discharging your duties nd giving ur best. Remember in Zechariah, its not by power. There are people who work around d clock but are not hapi with there income. There are those who work, every little effort yields great profit. It is not by strength or power. But doesnt mean you should be lazy or beg and expect big profit. Your conscience will make you know better

Am not against thithe but against the way it's been spent by our pastors neither is it a sin to or not to thithe and offerings it's a way provided to see to the welfare of strangers widows and fatherless but today it's a different story if you give either in the church or outside to the needy you will definitely be blessed in return i believe we as salt are meant to impart people's life through our donations
Our Lord Jesus did not collect thithe neither the apostles giving is OK but the way offering are collected in our churches is outrageous

Jesus was an advocate of giving without compulsion. Any giving you do because you were told to do so has its reward on earth and by the person who told you to do so.

But any generous giving done from your own volition gets its reward from heaven directly from God.

Why tithe shouldn't be given by true christians can be found here.

I personally doont bliv in tithes. I prefer giving to the poor nd hungry on the streets, the neighbour who needs it most.. Than giving to the already rich and over feed pastors and priest!

These religious (pastors & priests) live large, mansions, Cars (s), they have their refrigerators filled with assorted foods nd drinks cooked and uncooked! In short, they live in luxury!

While the poor congregations live in wants, have barely little to eat! Toil day nd night to keep body & soul together!

FELA SAID IT ALL.. SUFFERING & SMILING!

WHY GIVE MORE TO THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE PLENTY RATHER THAN THE POOR IN YOUR STREETS WHO NEED YOU MOST?

Come to think of the fact that most religious mismanage the tithes and turned the whole tithe thing to Big time BUSINESS!

MAY GOD HELP US ALL... amen.

You guys have been programmed to see giving as an opportunity to 'double' one's money. It's the same scam sold to you by your pastors, and please don't tell me you gave to God, it was a human being who spent your Fvcking tithe and offerings.

You only mentioned one out of the twenty occasions you gave and received. What about the other times you gave and same day nobody gave you back? What about the days you didn't give in the church and you received from people?
Receiving comes in different forms,it must not be physical cash,it can come in form of protection of your finances from devourers(things that will dry up your finances)

Tithe is a way of helping the church grow. Actually some people give to the mission by going and some people go to the mission by giving. Helping the needy is very good and one of the corporal work of mercy.

Nevertheless, the word of God must spread and the church must grow so our offerings and tithes are essential.

NB: Never give with the intention to receive. May God bless us all

Constantly. I once paid a tithe of a certain amount and that saw evening someone gifted me that exact amount before the end of that day and many more testimonies like that. Ignore what the pastor's do with your money, they are going to answer for themselves in the end of days. Just follow God's instruction. Remember God who sees in secret will bless you in the open.

At least you give something but seriously bro. Pay your tithe it's profitable. You might be doing better than where you feel you currently are.

God bless you for this. Some innocent/let me say ignorant christians don't know what tithing is all about they just do anything they wish. I can say that if you pay your tithes regularly and sincerely, there will be a great difference between you and someone who doesn't.
