why is it okay for a Muslim man to marry a Christian wife but it is haram for a Christian man to marry a Muslim wife.

as for me o.....hate a reception where it would be filled up with alhaja n alaji with their attire. they kuku nor sabi co-operate

Building a home with different religion is not good.

Are their children going to be Christian or Muslim?

Christians should marry Christians while Muslims should marry Muslims to avoid conflict of instrest as time goes on.

Religion has outdone all of these. Even within religions, there are denominations and sects - on the thread about a breakup due to denominational differences, "Christians" stated that they can't marry from certain denominations. It's no different in Islam where Sunnis and Shias are constantly at each other's throats.

People see each other and the first thing they see is a religious affiliation. We'll only begin to see each other as humans FIRST in a world devoid of religion.

my late bestie was raised in a home of lets say three religions .. him mum a staunch christian lady, his maternal parent grand (now late) pop a staunch traditionalist ( not a native doctor, just a man that believes in tradition) and his dad was a muslim .. he even had a place built specially for prayers

but the amazing thing about this family is that you just cant see any religious rivalry amongst them .. the live peacefully with each other till date now and it is simply amazing

so which means the woman has given up her religion be that.
