jayooh: Add 2 Saturdays to that 20days. Then calculate the daily transport to working place. If you are driving Uber and ur rental is 40k that means 5700 per day, 5700+3000 fuel=8700. There are days Uber/taxify drivpers earn 15k,20k,30k even 40k And u are here still crying you are been used, pls quit the job, driving is not for u... 1 Like |

jayooh: Here is the screen shots, I never do more than 50hours a week. Im no expert in driving, infact when I started driving I was shivering no idea of Lagos route. 2 reasons makes me venture into driving. 1) a greedy guy I met here on nairaland, request my tokunbo corolla for 2.2M on hire purchase and on a weekly payment of 30k,the corolla I intend selling for 2M. He says he will add 200k base is a hire purchase deal. 2) 2 drivers I met in Uber office, 1 of them request rental of 25k and one asked for 30k, both issuing threat like you think is easy, you should drive it yourself. Then I decide to hit the road. Then I get a clearer picture of the business. 1 Like

spartacus11: If you drive 16hours that mean you are chasing 150k a week, with 60hours a week, you will pay ur car rent and fuel money comfortably and even earn 20/25k weekly. Forget what people are saying here, just go make that money, Danforth drivers drive from morning until night, still they can't make up to Uber drivers. |

Partners/car-owners, If you like Give your cars out at 25k, 30k, 35k, 40k, 45k, 50k rental per week It's your car, so decide how you want to be paid. NO RISK, NO REWARD!!! 1 Like |

Olesekeniwoye: @23 trips and ur take home is 26k? That means Uber is not motivating part-time driver-partners then. Must I work 5times a week? This incentives and targets have so much gimmicks to it. Can they just charge reasonable fares and deduct their commissions. Simple pattern, simple approach. And more so most drivers are not educated to understand these their jargons. How many drivers understand 75%/0.75 trips? These experiment will likely kill Uber the more. 3 Likes |

ekatonsyn: In this business sacking of bad drivers should be your number one priority, no pity! No excuses! Is strictly business. If my driver damage my vehicle, he will surely be responsible for the repair, that's the reason all my drivers paid a deposit of 40k to start. With 2 reasonable guarantors. I didn't start driving because I intend been on the road, i drove because I want to understand the business more, and my drivers are actually afraid to cheat, because they know I have first hand experience. The reason why u all attacked me here is because I'm giving out first hand information to car owners, so they won't be cheated. 3 Likes |

Stormyweather: Don't mind jayooh he just want to make sense @ all cost. I have a graduate working in a bank for 47k monthly, after tax, I mean his net income. Most Uber drivers want to turn millionaire over night, bc they want owners to see they are suffering. A driver once commented here that no more free money for car owners, that b4 anybody accept to drive that the deal must be hire purchase. You see the level of greed in drivers is way beyond the politicians. 2 Likes |

entparrot: @Entertainmentparrot, do u know that always on the road has higher risk to being indoors (office). Do u know that the higher the risk the more the pay should be? Have had a road accident before and no vehicle stops to rescue you? Have u been attacked at going point in ur car? Have u narrowly escaped ritualist because of the sudden calling of God's name Jehovah? Personally I think driving should be a means to an end because it does not commensurate to its risk in Nigeria. 2 Likes |

jayooh: Lol, what you could have said was the screen shot was photoshop. My comments was a way to keep pressuring Uber to adjust their fare, bc any time I complain to Uber, I always send this link to them to see other people's view. You can keep bad mouthing me, but I will still stand on my word, the minimum any owner should ask for is 40k weekly. And driving with Uber pay better than a lot of jobs. |

sammie234: No doubt about the risk, in some circumstances, but the job is what it is, if you can't stand it back off... Bricklayer/laborers are the main people that do the toughest job in house building, but engineer just come and issue direction and still earn 10times more than them. |

@entparrot, some of the points you are right, not all. Reasons people won't trust you here is double personality, what if tomorrow you come and say all the 40k/week laziness you said were just metaphors? So you see, better stick to one path, you were with uber today, tomorrow drivers, who knows next you may even condemn all |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by entparrot(f): 5:29pm On Oct 22, 2017 |
SirAbdulthe1st: drivers here once condemned taxify, today they are taxify drivers. One thing that is constant in life is change. Uber can change price tomorrow everybody switch to Uber. What people are not talking about is taxify, taxify has taken us back to the good old Uber days. So most of my opinion is presently with taxify. |

Dear parrot, Please in what constitution is it written that bankers have to earn more than uber drivers? Oh! you think drivers are not worth much because they're being employed for car owners to work for them, please are your bankers the owners of the banks? We are all serving our employers be it corporately or the other way. Secondly you calculate the best amount a driver can make in a week and you believe your birthright is the lion share, who says owner of car must earn more than the driver? As a matter of fact owners and drivers are business partners, no one is doing anyone any favour. Fine you're concerned as an owner that if your car develops fault you will bear the cost so why not earn more than your driver but you're not concerned that the driver is the one being exposed to accident, armed robbery, ritualists etc. You don't think that the driver may lose his life or become handicapped as a result of driving for you so why not let him earn more. That's selfishness. Lastly when you're told about the risks drivers face or drivers ask to reduce your asking price, you enjoy saying.. the job is what it is if you can't stand it back off, what you don't know is that the saying can go the other way round like.. the job is what it is, if you're not content with what is realistic then back the f*uck off the business. The 40k is not the actual problem but your attitude, a wise boss respects his employees, with the right attitude drivers will happily do 50k/week for you if it's sustainable for him. That's the little piece of my mind, eat it fast and digest it slowly. Yours sincerely 3 Likes 1 Share |
