Good morning house. I just spoke with one of the HR representative. His reply to my enquiry was that people are being brought in batches and that those that have not gotten the TS mail will get it soon. The reply sounds diplomatic but that's the update from my end. 1 Like 1 Share |

mayorchelsea: Mayorchelsea, I also share your view, the whole exercise is turning into something else,I would have preferred a situation where they can segment the whole exercise with dates so that at whatever stage you are,you know your date e.g for AC,documentation/medicals,TS. Etc.With such arrangement people will be at peace and wait for their dates patiently.Equally important too is the issue of regret mails to participants who could not scale through to move on. They can stagger the dates for all AC candidates, same for documentation/medical candidates with dates. With this people will be at peace and plan properly. Come to think of the whole issue, how can a recruitment exercise span over one year and yet no conclusion date.It is so sad.Is anyone with me on this? 9 Likes |

chinco19: I think we should calm down. Really, I kept refreshing my mailbox the evening other TS hopefuls got mails. But then, we can't conclude on what issue there is or not yet. The last recruitment ran for about 2 years by the way. https://www.nairaland.com/1291773/first-bank-graduate-trainee-recruitment/84 1 Like 1 Share |

chinco19:Thank you my lady.I mean, the whole exercise is taking too long since December 2016 and 2017 is almost at an end.I've had to pass up some other opportunities though not as good as what I hope firstbank offers in terms of renumeration(after medical and documentation) mainly because I'll be required to give adequate notice and I didn't know exactly how soon training school mail would arrive, had to settle for less and that which wouldn't tie me down only for this to be happening.I trust God to favour us all. 1 Like |

chinco19:Don't get me scared! Please! If you have issues with your credentials, you definitely can't proceed for medicals, you won't be cleared to proceed for medicals.I'm quite certain I didn't fail my medicals as well,I'm as fit as a fiddle chinco. We can only give them a benefit of doubt as the batch talk has been echoed by different HR persons some have spoken to.Many who did documentation/medical but didn't get TS mail failed medicals but people who didn't do medicals/documentation but made TS are medically fit automatically without any examination? 3 Likes |

mayorchelsea: Lol my dear, I am not saying it with certainty but it wouldn't hurt to think things through. Those that were invited for TS would definitely do medicals and documentation before the commencement date. The issue might be an error on their part. Someone said her friend wasn't initially invited cos the medical report stated she was pregnant. she only got to know this when she visited their office. she insisted she wasn't pregnant and they confirmed this. I am not saying this was what happened in our case but it definitely shouldn't be ruled out. I am scared and worried too.. The oblivion is sickening. In relation to the HR reps that keep saying it's in batches, at the end of the day, they can vindicate themselves cos when the next set for medicals is invited, that's another batch.. lol 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello guys, at this point I really don't think the right thing to do is dwell on this and make guesses. I can't see the contradiction here at all, the TS mail for those who received read Batch B or so and I think what that means is other batches will still be called for TS... I am confident I passed both documentation and medicals, I am equally aware God is delaying TS all to our good. Let's chill! Don't allow negativity take over you. Firstbank sent TS mails to those who haven't done documentation, yes they did and I believe one brother somewhere had fasted and prayed fervently for God to turn things to his favor and yes He did (That's God for you). This does not in anyway mean my testimony won't come whether this year or next year. Please let's chill. Give it time it will be fine, give it more time it will be refined. 5 Likes |

Pls people those that want to keep hope alive should keep doin that it will pay off at the end those that want to keep assuming all manner pls stop discouraging others if u want to move on, move on and stop trying to make other people give up. Even where I did my documentation and medical in Abj there were two heavily pregnant women there and nothing stopped them from going to training school. First bank has no problem with pregnant women. Keep hope alive, if they dint want us they would not be explaining themselves to us after all what's so hard in telling someone " you dint make the cut move on" instead of just allowing them disturb you all the time. |

Davitron1107: Please where did my posts read that one should move on? Like for crying out loud, why would it be at this stage that one would move on? I actually pray it doesn't come to that.. Why not keep giving us hope instead of being silent |

Reading through recent posts left me with no surprises at all. The bouts of apprehension intermittently arising in the midst of hope is normal when faced with an uncertainty like this. However one mistake we often make is trying to overthink and hyper-analyze such situations. Often counterproductive. Obviously circumstances change and policies are unpredictable as we have just seen with recent happenings. My take though, from my conversation with one of the HR personnel, is that people have already been scheduled for the next batch, from the list of those that had their documentation but were omitted from this recent invitations to TS. He did not just mention that but was apologetic for the delay and requested patience on my (our) part. My advice, get busy (or stay busy if you're on a job), learn more skills, IT and computer skills especially, be on the lookout for more opportunities and never allow negativity take root in your heart. You're not defined by one job opportunity or by a missed one. Your future is just beginning, keep dreaming and working. Cheers. 5 Likes 1 Share |

chinco19:Don't come and say what you DON'T know! Medical is just a formality so no-one can fail it. FBN employs even if you are combining 2 results. So I don't think people would have issues with that. Please don't come and give people unnecessary High BP or be spreading misinformation! If you did documentation and medical DON'T worry, if FBN said there was a glitch, who are YOU to say there wasn't? |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by chinco19(f): 6:16pm On Oct 23, 2017 |
Nchabuomo: if you took your time to go through what I typed, you wouldn't have missed where I said I saw that on an old thread. And on me saying there was no glitch anywhere, am I not entitled to my opinion? Before you got your mail, didn't you voice out what u thought was the problem? I am not misinforming anyone as I earlier stated that they were thoughts. Talmabout "medicals is just a formality so no-one one can fail it" kmt |

For those who may have been jittery because of my posts, I am sorry. That wasn't the intention. May we all scale through. Amen. |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by Nchabuomo: 6:52pm On Oct 23, 2017 |
chinco19:You are entitled to your opinion.... But your opinion should not be one that would raise tension. If you did the medical you would know why I said it's just formality. |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by dkingskid: 7:06pm On Oct 23, 2017 |
Nchabuomo:lol. Medical is not a formality bruh. People fail it. Not saying this to make you or anyone else lose hope anyway. Just trying to correct the seeming wrong notion you have about it. Cheers! |
