You can't trust stats from most NGO's. Most of them deliberately exaggerate facts and issues in order to paint a dire picture that justifies increased funding.

as much as i hate to agree with you, but what you said is true, edo and italy be like bread and butter, just as yoruba and london, or igbo and malaysia or china...most edo and delta people go to italy to carry out prostitution, yorubas go to london for no good reason than vacation, while igbos go to china for fake electronics or to throw stone in malaysia....simple truth.

even the Italy they ran to is no longer better than Nigeria.....after working for 5-yrs, some of them, when they are deported

back to 9ja, only come back with a long sweeter and a tattooed jeans as the only sweat of their labours..

their mothers who help them to pack their bags and lipsticks for service should cover their face in shame!

Believe me, it is not an outrageous lie, she may not be precise with her estimate, but she is within the range.

I think the solution, is to go to the root of this situation, addressing unemployment and Infrastructural decay in our Communities.

Now, many people here are saying majority of them are from Edo state, what concerned individuals should do now is to find out what exactly predisposes an Edo girl to sex work more than others Tribes, why are the more likely to be the prostitutes in Italy, this should be a research.

Then from the results, recommendations can be made.
I just used Edo state based on the stereotype associated with them.
Just like Igbos and Drugs, or Yorubas and Ritual.

Until we get to the root cause, the solution can never be found
