Bcoz dey know that a sane Nigerian working around and seeing what's happening around will not go out on dat day to vote. Hence, the idea of extending the voting rights to d prisoners. And a sane prisoner will also not vote for the one who imprisoned him/her. Either way don't bother to context come 2017 and save urself d embarrassment of losing by a landslide. Buhari is a jailer..... 42 Likes 1 Share |

Giving inmates the vote isn’t just constitutionally the right thing to do, it could also help the country solve one of its most intractable problems. However in the context of Nigeria, it is a mere plot to create a loop hole for electoral dyfunctionality. I just tire for this country 4 Likes

Rigging window activated....why is Nigeria always the first among the comity of Nations to tread wrong paths.....our Government's innovative ability of doing wrong things is nauseatingly convulsive. This is coming from an agency which is purportedly headed by a Professor With this development, sooner our politicians will shift their generosity to the detained centres for the sole purpose of buying the inmates political mandate. 11 Likes 1 Share |

in other climes of the world, prisoners are treated like human being, but in 9ja it is another thing let them exercise their franchise if they want...of course, PMB should be commended for this first of its kind in 9ja as pdp's bode George how it feels to be allowed to vote! 1 Like |

I think someone should sue INEC for this. Makes no sense at all. In the U. S prisoners are not allowed to vote in most states. In fact a study showed that most prisoners in states that are allowed don't vote. This is an attempt by INEC to magnify votes in some prisons for a desired candidate. In fact there is also the issue that prisoners at the mercy of warders and the prison system would not have their freedom of choice. In a country that has not even perfected voting among free non criminal men and women. It is prisoners that they want to use to rig election to bring in their desired candidate. I think the dead Nigerians should be allowed to vote too. Clearly beforehand atleast we now know the leadership of INEC has been compromised. Oshisco squared. 2 Likes |
